David walked down the street behind his current and first commanding officer, Commodore Kimberly Gravers. Most of the people on the street went off to the side to avoid David's foot falls, though Kimberly didn't move out of his way instead seemingly without care lead David to the docks where her ship was docked. David himself carried his things, everything he owned practically, which consisted of his Quiver which was filled with arrows, his armor around his body and his bow. Light Traveler was David, that much was for certain.

Why they were going to Kimberly's ship was something David had not been told yet, not to say David was complaining. He had the understanding that he would be told what was happening when it was beneficial to the orders Kimberly was given. So he just simply trudged after her, to where he would once again rest on her ship. He had been on Kimberly's ship once before, when she had recruited him on Drum island, and taken him here to Marineford. Which in and of itself was impressive to David, as the largest thing he had seen since he could remember was the mountain on which he had resided during his slavery. However that was a mute point at the moment, as it had little to nothing to do with what he was doing now. David reflected these things as he walked, looking down at Kimberly to avoid treading upon her.

Kim wasn't one to get pissed when given certain orders, especially when she was going to be a Vanguard for the fleet heading to Sandy Island. However she was particularly pissed because of the circumstances for which she WAS going to Sandy island. She was going there to put down some damned pirates who had been running around breaking shit that wasn't theirs. Hell, if she wasn't a marine and instead a Bounty Hunter she would still go there and kick all of those Pirate's asses. Maybe then she would actually get paid something...

Kimberly sighed as she took out a Cigarette from her justice coat pocket before bringing out her lighter and lighting it. Her smoking habit had become a tendency since she became a commodore. Having to deal with all that Damn paperwork was a bitch, and then she had to deal with all of her underlings, it was to damn much honestly. So she smoked to relieve some stress but still didn't help her when she dealt with Idiots, namely some of her damn co workers. It was a mixed bag of feelings when she thought about going to kick some pirate ass instead of being stuck behind a desk all day. On one hand she would happily kick Pirate Ass for some stress relief, but on the other hand she was angry for the amount of innocent lives that were no doubt lost. So instead she simply kicked it out of her mind for the moment in exchange for looking at the giant bastard behind her. Well, David wasn't a bastard but damn if he wasn't logical as all hell. He thought every damn question through like someone had asked him to blow up a boat of innocents. Well, at least WAIT.... David would be amazing at paperwork...

Kimberly stopped and looked up at David's helmeted head, before shaking her head and cursing. David was far to big to do paper work sized for a human. With that curse in mind she continued on with a slightly confused David at her feet, as the approached the last stretch of land to make it to the docks.

It did not take long for David and Kimberly to reach the dock, more of somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes to fully reach the docks. The walk there wasn't particularly eventful, more of marines rushing around preparing to set out for either water 7 and sandy island. The flurry of activity was quite a spectacle for anyone not versed in the marine ways like David was, everyone moved with a purpose and with swift effectiveness he didn't know could exist on such a wide scale. Although considering the circumstances it could be understandable. David had had the news coo be read to him before he left the barracks this morning, and it was terrifying stuff. Slaughter and rebellions on Water 7 and piracy running rampant on Sandy island, a fact that gives David a throbbing headache when he thinks about it, more closer to a migraine then anything else. David had no such idea why his head hurt so when he thinks of Sandy Island, but on account of how his head starts to hurt, as well as the flaming sensation of the burns that cover the left side of his face flaring up, he had to assume something happened to him on Sandy island. Something he forgot.

During the time of which David was thinking hard about Sandy island, Kimberly and David had arrived at the docks. The amount of ships being loaded and armed was staggering. Most of the ships being warships of varying sizes being fully armed to the teeth, it seemed more as if the whole of Marineford were going to fight a war. Which wasn't that far off if one considered what was happening on multiple islands.

Kimberly and David approached a group of ships that didn't have anyone coming on or off, as all the crews were on board and seemingly full stocked unlike the rest of the ships. The small group consisted of Two Caravels and a Brigantine, one large enough to carry David on its deck, even let him stand, if with no real room to move and just barely. To which it did indeed carry him once upon a time, when Kimberly brought him to Marineford from Dum island. However David did not remember it being as big as it seemed to be now.

Kimberly who was almost done with her cigarette, looked up at David who was looking at the ship in a confused manor. David had obviously not known she requested a larger ship to take David with her. She, somehow, got permission from Arrow to take a bigger ship so she could use David as a giant cannon. To think all she had to do was spout some lines of David being able to hit some ships from a longer range then cannons and a little showcase of his power, which she did today around lunch with all those ensigns, and she got the ship she had wanted. She even had some more of his giant ass arrows put in the cargo of the ship encase he needed more. She was a damn good commanding officer if she had to say so. Waving her hand at David to get his attention, which she did, She would motion for David to kneel down to actually hear her. David did comply, though the act of kneeling down did scare an ensign who had been carting a box of ammo who almost dropped it. Shouting up at David, Kimberly would say "Alright go get comfortable on the ship, Its a ship that is normally meant for Giants, and yes we do have giants besides you, so you should have a quarter to yourself so you don't have to sit outside anymore. Be ready to move out though, we won't be here long." Finishing with that, Kimberly would turn to regard the ensign who was carrying a clipboard who was obviously waiting for her. "Alright mam, all three of your ships are prepped and ready to go on your order, they're standing by." The ensign said, saluting the Rear Admiral before walking away. Smirking to herself, Kimberly would turn and shout at the crews who were standing by for her order before speaking. "Alright lets move out! I want to get to Sandy island within the next few days, so don't waste my time!" After saying that Kimberly walked to her ship where David was getting help from a crew member to find his rooms. It would certainly be interesting to see how David handled all of this, Kimberly thought, as she walked onto the ship and all three vessels set out to Sandy Island.

{A Few Days Later}

David was not used to having a roof over his head, as when he lived on Drum he simply lived outside as the weather never really bothered him. If it got to cold he simply put a fur cloak over his body before continuing doing whatever it was he was doing. So having a travel where he could sleep on a bed, something he also wasn't used to, and not have to worry about rain or snow was something of a commodity to David. He only got to experience at night however, as Kimberly had put him on watch duty the entire trip. For if he saw a ship with a black flag he was to shoot it immediately and not to let it get away, for the sake of not letting the enemy know we were coming. David could understand the theory behind it, don't let the enemy know you were coming until you were right on top of them. It was sound logic, and David wasn't particularly against simply being at the ready to shoot so David had little to no problems simply standing ready with an arrow lay on his bow at the ready.

The few days of traveling saw little activity, much less than David would of thought. He had assumed due to the state of Sandy Island that Pirates would of been flocking to its waters to pillage, rape, and pillage as they saw fit. But it seemed as if the water were barren except for the small vanguard of three ships, as David had not seen head or tail of a ship besides theirs. It concerned and worried David, for if the Pirates were not flocking to Sandy Island where were they? It made no sense to him, as from his understanding pirates flocked to places of weakness. So David only grew more and more concerned as they neared Sandy Island.

It wasn't until that David and the crew were an out away from the island that David finally saw a pirate ship. It was a group of ships actually, three small Caravels who didn't seem to have noticed them yet. David spoke, letting the others knows that they were coming upon pirates. "Be warned, three pirate ships of Caravel size to out west. They have not noticed us yet. Orders Commodore?" David said to Kimberly, who was at the head of the ship at this point with a telescope looking at the three ships. "Alright, Everyone full speed ahead and I want combat positions, They aren't getting back to the Island with those ships." Kimberly said, to which all the crew members responded, even the two Caravels at the left and right and a bit forward of the Brigantine.

It was only moments later of the orders being given that the three pirate Caravel's were turning away, attempting to make it back to the Island. The Caravels however lost precious time while turning about. Precious moments that Brought David into range, something he did noticed. Kimberly still looking at the ships with her Telescope shouted up to David. "If you can hit them then do so, The faster they get destroyed the less likely they are to get away." Kimberly said as she motioned for David to shoot. David, as he is known to do at this point, had no problems doing so.

With a grunt of effort, David raised his bow while pulling back the string. He had destroyed his fair share of Pirates, this was no different to him then hunting an animal. Taking only a few moments to read the wind and the trajectory needed, David fired his first shot. The arrow curved high into the air before coming down and hitting the mast, taking it clean off the deck, before slamming into the front of the ship, slamming the ship forward as a result before starting to sink. Pulling another arrow out of his quiver and bringing his bow and drawing the string back before the first arrow had even hit, David would once again only take moments to feel the wind speed and trajectory before firing his second arrow, this one aimed for the one in the center. However as the arrow was coming down from the top of its curve, a strong gust of wind sent the arrow off course and to the right, instead of striking the center boat instead striking the one on the right, directly into the Caravel's left side railing and embedding itself into the hell of the ship. David actually watched that arrow land before grunting in annoyance, he always hated when his arrows went off course.

Getting another arrow out of his quiver, David would rest it on his bow before raising it and drawing the string back. However before he shoots this time, David would wait. The center Caravel, the only one left, started to out speed the vanguard, as the crew members of it were frantically attempting to get away. Keeping his arrow Raised, David didn't move. He didn't move when the Ship suddenly sped up. Didn't move when the Brigantine stopped at hte first destroyed ship to pick up those who survived David's arrow. It was only that the last Caravel was at the edge of his range that David fired. However he didn't fire straight instead suddenly turning to the side and shooting the arrow to the far left of the Caravel. As the arrow reach the top of its arc, another gust of wind came and sent the Arrow flying drastically off its original course, instead carrying the arrow into the side of the final Caravel. David still in the release position nodded his head in acknowledgement and annoyance. As he still hated his arrows going off course.

It wasn't long until the Brigantine and two caravels had picked up those that had survived David's arrows and threw them all in the Brigantine's hold. Less then thirty minutes truthfully. During that time, The prisoners were scared of David, refusing to move anywhere near him. The marines on the other hand thought that David was amazing, the epitome of perfect shooting ability, something no one really said but everyone agreed upon. It wasn't until the Brigantine that something else had happened. Kimberly had been watching the coast in case any had tried their luck to swim to shore. Something that did award her for her efforts, as she saw a man run on top of a sand dune and looked towards the Brigantine, before running away. Shouting at the top of her lungs to David, Kimberly said "PIRATE, ON THE SANDS, RUNNING INTO THE ISLAND. SHOOT HIM DAVID!" Kimberly said with haste, needing David to actually hit the man else their entire plan would be thrown out the window. David, of course, obliged the woman. Drawing one final arrow from his quiver, David would pull the string back and raise the bow taking aim. It didn't take him but a moment to figure out what he needed and shoot the fleeing man. The arrow flew the truest that day it had seemed. As the arrow flew in a straight path directly into the man's back, splattering his organs and body parts all around the surrounding area. David's only thought on the matter was, 'I will have to clean that off.' As if nothing was wrong with the world.

After retrieving his arrows, David and the vanguard set off, for Nanohana. Where they would set up a foot hold for the marines coming into Alabasta.
