Akashi
It's only been a few days since Akashi was placed into suspension from his marine tasks. A violent incident had alerted his superiors about Akashi's emotional instability and left them with no option but to penalize him, however; as one of the strongest marines in water 7, he knew they would eventually come into their senses and let him return. And in fact, Akashi was right about that. Only a week after his suspension, a marine walked down to his house and knocked on his door in need of his assistance. "Akashi Trajada, I was sent with a message for you." As Akashi took a look at the little letter, the cadet in front of him disappeared, leaving Akashi alone to read it.

"Ensign Trajada, these last days a small group of vandals has been stealing different merchandise in water 7. After a group of marines scouted these vandals in attempt to arrest them, they were murdered and left with a warning message. We now believe they are a small mafia just starting to grow in water 7. After reading this message, report yourself with your superiors for further instructions."

Akashi did not care about the task itself, but it was time to return to his duty. He threw the note to the nearest trashcan and left his home only to walk towards the water 7 marine headquarters. He was anxious to start beating up people again. And this task specifically sounded like a lot of fun and maybe permision to shoot.

Part 1: The Giant Muffin
After getting to the marine headquarters to request the information needed for such task, he was given very specific instructions. He was now on the mission of finding the target's base. No more, no less. He was given the task to investigate, just like many other marines, and eventually assault their group to arrest them, but only after gathering a marine task group for that. After some quick questions, Akashi was ready to start investigating and looking for said place. He was told the first place this group assaulted was a small bakery shop near the market. That was now the first place Akashi was going to investigate, and so, he went towards the market where he quickly found this bakery shop. Its name was the Barking Cake, known to have the best donuts in the area. Akashi was not in the mood for donuts or cake, so he just quickly entered and asked the man in the desk a few questions. Being honest, Akashi was actually pretty good investigating, however; he was not feeling like making a real effort. Plus he knew he was anyway eventually going to find this group, it was only a matter of time. He got out of the store knowing everything about the first robbery, but it was confusing why these men risked their freedom just for a couple of donuts. He really had no idea about who he was messing with, but Akashi could already feel how close he was to finding these men.

A man walked right next to Akashi and right into the shop. Akashi took a quick glance at him as he moved through his line of sight. Akashi was a man who has always had accurate suspicions, and the man who was just walking inside the shop was indeed looking a bit too confident. Akashi froze his feet in front of the door and waited a few seconds before slowly turning around. He looked through one of the four little windows in the front wooden door. The man who has just entered was around only around 1.7 meters tall and was quite chubby as well. He was wearing a purple suit and black vest to accompany his white shirt. He looked like a rich man, with enough money to buy top class bread if he so wished. The man at the front desk welcomed him as he opened his way to the back of the shop, leaving only a younger baker to keep customers, which were none at the moment, pleased with their service.

Akashi walked inside a second time, using this new employe as an advantage. "Hello and welcome to the Barking Cake, how can I help you?" Asked the kid just as the front doorbell rang. Akashi walked towards the desk quite intimidating. "Hello, I was passing by and could not help but notice the damage on your desk." After Akashi's announcement, the young boy leaned forward to see such damage and avoid having to walk around it. It was actually a cheap trick, more so considering there was only 1 mall window in the shop beside the tiny ones at the door. "Sir, I can't see the damage your talking about." Just as he spoke his last words, Akashi placed his hand over the employee's head and smashed it down on the wooden surface, leaving the kid unconscious and later on, lying on the ground.

Akashi moved towards the back door, which seemed to lead to the kitchen. The smell of recently baked bread was more than nice, but the amounts of flour and sugar made it so that the room looked like a white hospital room. The only non-white thing besides the bread was the wooden table in the middle and materials to prepare the mass. The two men who had recently entered were also nowhere to be found. They had disappeared from the room, but Akashi was sure they were yet to be found inside the shop.

Akashi started to look around, he knew he could maybe find some sort of secret entrance. He moved around hats, the only table in the room and even checked inside the flour bags. But it was not until he looked inside the chimney oven that he found what he was looking for. The quick check took him around 10 minutes, not enough for someone too suspect after not seeing a someone at the front desk. It was now too late to react, but Akashi was now realizing the mistake he made by leaving the open sign on the entrance.

Anyway, he found a little lever inside the chimney. He pulled from it, still having his lower half of the body outside the chimney. He was, of course, risking his upper half since the lever could have just been an inconvenient switch for the oven to turn on, however; he decided to take the risk. As the black metal lowered in height, the top part of the chimney opened and the wind pulled towards the newly found exit. Akashi was not able to see much through this new air sucking route, but it looked safe and big enough for people to pass through it. The entrance closed again. The air had not been strong enough to pull Akashi only because his lower body was still outside, but it was obvious how this thing worked.

Akashi stepped inside the oven, climbing through the little entrance. Using his left squeezed limb, he pulled from the lever, opening the secret duct again, this time pulling him completely. Akashi's body was violently pulled and quickly moved through a metallic tube at very high speeds. He was not sure, but it seemed the tube was taking him underground and not the other way around. Once he reached the finish point of such entrance, he fell on a metallic platform just in front of the two men he had seen entering the room before. "Chef Baguette, you said it was safe in here!" Said the short chubby man. The baker, who was rather blond, tall and strong man with a big mustache stepped towards Akashi before he could stand up after landing on his back. "My apologize Mr. Alfredo, I will take care of this."

The big baker threw a punch towards Akashi, however; the marine was easily able to roll through the ground stand up only a few meters from the blond baker. Once he stood up, Akashi was able to take a quick glance at his surroundings. He had fallen from some sort of air duct behind him and he was now standing on a metallic floor, but what surprised him the most was where he was now located in. It looked like a giant baking factory of some sort. Metalic and gigantic structures were standing around them and the smell of hot bread, as well as some outstanding heat, pointed towards bread being made.

The man Akashi was now facing was new, he was not the baker he had seen earlier. The other one was quite small and thin, the opposite of this big and muscular cook, however; their face was actually pretty similar, almost the same. "Quit running around and fight like a man." The blond cook took his both fists and moved them up, simulating a hammer with his arms. "Special Baguette Delivery." Said as he used both hands to smash the area in front of him in attempt to slam Akashi. The marine, however, was too fast for him and easily stepped aside as he pulled his two guns and pointed them at the men. "Don't make this quick for you too and start spitting up what you know." Both men let a sigh out. "Come out boss." The big cook hat fell from the giant's head, revealing the cook Akashi had spoken too before. A tiny man in his baker outfit jumped from the tall man's head and landed in front of Akashi.

"Hello, Mr. Akashi. Remember me from last time we met?" Said the baker quite elegantly. Akashi rugged his face just as the man spoke. "Yes, I do... We just met a few minutes ago." The man laughed as he jumped around and laughed. "Gurgle gurgle gurgle! I know, I'm difficult to forget." Akashi's anger quickly pulled through as he pointed one of his guns towards the tiny man. "Start explaining, what's going on here?" The little man let a sigh out and looked directly at Akashi's eyes. "Okay, we'll talk."

"This all started a long time ago when water seven was just growing as a shipwright island if you can call it so. My family, the Crouton family, was not at all good at shipbuilding. As you may see, my family is short and not at all good at carrying big pieces of wood, however; we were incredibly talented as bakers. And it was then that he decided to put our own bakery shop, also known as the Barking Cake.

As more people came, our job was getting popular. Tourists would come and visit our shop for bread while they ships were being rebuilt. But as even more people came and stayed, more food options started to flourish, leaving us with little to no people to buy us. The people who moved in and out of water 7 as well as the shipwrights themselves, were strong men who ate a lot of protein and could not eat sugar or too much bread for their bodies to stay strong. Our shop was falling. But the day came when a crew of black market merchants came to water 7. They brought all kinds of stuff. Between those, they brought what we know as the Red Fish Sugar Cane.

The Red Fish Sugar Cane is an illegal plant that could only grow below sea level. The legend says the cane itself was so sweet, it was able to turn big bodies of salt water into sugar water. It is called Red Fish Sugar Cane because it was this plant that turned a small sea into a mix of salt water and sugar water, the only place was the rare Red Pillow Fish could be found. Legend says that place is called the ocean of sweet dreams, however; it is just a legend and no other people but that crew of merchants is able to say they have seen it.

Anyway, I'm starting to get out of track. We found a way of planting and producing that plant here in our shop. We have been selling expensive bread with that sugar to some important people around water 7 as well as we've been importing and exporting it through the grand line. But it's gotten quite dangerous lately. The sugar is highly addictive and it looks like another important family has now gotten information about our latest project, the Giant Red Muffin. We have been preparing a giant muffin, sweet enough to get a whole island addicted to this sugar. The ones who assaulted us a few days ago are the Cottage family. They want to find our muffin and essentially keep it for themselves. And that is what has been going on lately with the assaults. Our family is being attacked, captured and murdered."

"Pretty long story to be honest, but quite interesting as well." Said Akashi. It was all making quite some sense now. He was sure they were speaking the truth, or at least most of it, so what was left now was to arrest both families for illegal trafficking of bread. "I guess you are all under arrest for illegal trafficking of plants, to say the least." The little baker starting jumping around. "No, wait, wait, I have an offer for you." Said the tiny man, convincingly enough for Akashi to at least lower his guns. "We mean no harm to people here, in fact, all we want is to sell tasty bread, our sugar has caused no problems, so what about we make a deal?" The little cook said his last words with a big smile, almost the size of his overgrown mustache. "We have many different things only people from the black market posses. We can give you power, money, and fame. So the deal is you help us by taking down the Cottage family, which is any way your work, gurgle gurgle gurgle." Said the man and laughed again. "In exchange for doing your work, only with them, we will give you a devil fruit. You've heard of them. Strong fruits able to grant supernatural abilities to those who consume it, I've heard the world government is in a rush to find these, so what do you think? Gurgle gurgle gurgle." Said the man and ended with a laugh.

The tiny man was right, the world government was really in the look for these fruits, and if he decided not to make the deal and shat down the factory, that fruit would most likely end up lost. Akashi did have a choice, it was not his only option, but it was maybe the better one. "Okay, I'll keep secret your illegal stuff going around and in exchange, you will give me the devil fruit." "Gurgle gurgle gurgle. It sounds like your now one with the Crouton family. Gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle." Akashi was really annoyed with this man, but arguing with him was not even near to being a good idea. "Also, Mr. Akashi, would you mind leaving now? I will send you a letter. It will have the instructions to find the Cottage family. Also, do yourself a favor and do this alone, you don't want your fellow marine friends to know you made a deal with us, because if they do, bye bye fruit."

Ep. 2 The Cottage House
Twenty four hours have passed since Akashi left the bakery. It was about time the letter arrived at his house. Marines were still unclear of what was happening, but it was probably not going to take much more than Akashi to take down these new enemies. They were pretty recent in Water 7, in fact, not even the whole family had arrived at the island. The worst-case scenario was Akashi having to scape, and asking for help to take them down, in which case he might lose the devil fruit he was now seeking, but that was not the main priority.

Akashi walked outside his house as he read the first line in the letter. "Go towards Dock 3. Near that area, there is a street called Baguette, just walk there and you'll know how to find them." The letter was, apparently, not very long, but Akashi followed each and every instruction. He took it calmly to avoid raising any suspicions between the marines and his superiors. He took a long walk to the towards the dock number 3, but just before he got there, a white sign quickly caught his eye. When he turned left and read the sign, he saw it was not a white sign, but instead a normal wooden one with a paper hanging from it. The paper was easily readable but was only written with pencil in a very cheap and quick style. Akashi walked towards the so-called street which was more of an alley and ended up in front of a metallic door. He knocked a couple of times before a man opened a little rectangle shaped hole through which he could see Akashi. "Who is this?" Asked the man behind the door. "My name is Akashi, a marine. I've been sent to talk to Mr. Cotage. If you don't let me in, I'll just have to go get an assault group, so please make this easy." With his marine uniform on, it was easy to take his word.

The man behind the metallic door opened and let Akashi in. As he closed the door, Akashi took a look around. It was a very fancy place despite looking old from the outside. A red carpet and lots of paintings guided his way through the building. "This way sir." Said the man who opened the door. He was a big brute, strong yet fat who had to walk stoop to avoid hitting the ceiling of the small corridor. After a small walk through what seemed to be a bar, the.  arrived at a room where Akashi was politely invited to walk into. "Mr. Cottage, a Marine wants to speak to you." Said the brute and left the room.

Azaziel couldn't spend most of his time in his new quarters, especially after recently being assigned to Water 7. He had decided it was best for him to simply leave and go outside and look around and see what he could do or be of use. After all, he was a marine in the end and he still had a job to do. As he walked outside of his quarters, he began to make his way towards the bakery, he truly had gotten hungry and grew an appetite ever since he joined the Marines. Jack told him that would happen, and despite Az not believing such scrutinizing words, they turned out to simply be very very true in Az' current eyes. While he rolled into the bakery, he was overwhelmed by the great smell of baked goods including the inclusive smell of fresh bread. The Winged marine would walk forward towards the baker who seemed fairly nervous either way as if he had just recently dodged a bullet. Maybe it was because of Az's appearance yet whatever it was Azaziel had not taken a liking to his reaction.

Azaziel would walk closer, enough to look into the baker's eyes, as the marine sported a kind regard in his eyes. Of course, anyone that knew anything about Azaziel would know that that regard was simply a visage of his true personality and identity. In reality, he was considered truly an asshole, who while did his job perfectly or attempted to, would throw away everything in order to achieve his goals; especially relationships. Az would look dead eye into the baker's eyes as he gave him a stink eye while the baker began to sweat due to nervousness. A few seconds later he would begin to smirk and opened his mouth, "So, why so serious ol'baker?" The baker then began to chuckle as he realized that Az sort of had an idea of what was going on. He would then sign and began to tell Azaziel of all that had gone on. "Well, I thought you Marines were finally out of my hair but I guess I have to tell you what I told the other one." The other one, Azaziel thought. That meant that another marine had been here recently. It'd be best for Az to simply roll along with it all as he thought he might be able to even help the other Marine if he did need it. Az was never one to work in groups, but he always knew that if it was for the best of the two of them, he would do it.

The marine would begin to scratch his head as he spoke again, "so point me in the right direction and I won't cause any problems." The baker would then swiftly show him where the other marine was and that his name was Akashi. Damn, it was so simple for Az. People would speak so easily under his intimidation, maybe it was simply because he was born like that. He was told that he would find him on a street called Baguette, so that was where Az went. As he walked into the alley, which he was told to be a street, he rapidly noticed a metal door, which he decided would be best to knock on. A little rectangle hole would open up as a voice spoke behind the door. "Who is this?" Asked the man behind the door. Azaziel shrugged then replied, "I am Azaziel. I work for the Marines, open up before I make you." The man behind the metallic door opened and let Az in. As they approached the room, Azaziel couldn't hear anything. Then the large man told Az to wait outside as someone was already inside. Acting as if he had listened, he nodded, then right when the large man left Azaziel barged inside. Causing a commotion was Az's best skill.

Akashi was now standing at the entrance of a big cozy room. It had a red carpet, wooden walls and lots of decoration like paintings and little sculptures. "Please sit." Said yet another short and chubby man. Akashi sat in the nearest seat. It was a blue couch, just as fancy as the rest of the room. The room had a strong smell of tobacco and alcohol. The room was filled with many men, at least 6 more wealthy looking men besides the first one to speak plus four bodyguards standing by the walls of the room. "So, Mr. Marine, what would you like to talk about?" Asked the same man who spoke a first. It was clear he was Mr. Cottage, the head of this family and mafia. Akashi glanced confident at the small crowd as he started to speak.

"Mr. Cottage, I came to talk to you about the recent incidents and attacks if you can so call them. We have enough evidence to believe it was your family who has been assaulting our people." Said Akashi just before silence overwhelmed any sound in the room. Those few words were enough to make Mr. Cottage sweat. Though while he was probably a little nervous already, the sweat was mostly caused by the terrible condition his body was in. The elegant man placed his glass of what seemed to be whiskey on the nearest table from his seat and moved his hand to let everyone else know they had to leave. After this, only a few men where still inside the room, between them Akashi and three brutes.

"What do you know about this? Because we sure are not guilty at all." Asked Mr. Cottage. Akashi smiled just before replying. This was a task he decided to do by himself. It was maybe the first time he disobeyed orders, but it was for a good cause. "I spoke to the Crouton family. They are pretty sure it was you. Also, we have a couple of witnesses who said they saw your boys. Please, let's try to make this easy. I'm here alone, asking you to kindly submit as guilty." Akashi was indeed lying, but his words were convincing enough to crack the man in front of him. Only a few seconds after this, the man started to laugh in desperation. "I've killed more than a few marines already, why stopping if you're the only one here?" Said as he stood up and the brutes started to walk towards Akashi.

Suddenly, the door opened letting a blond Marine ally in. "It's a setup! " Said one of the brutes. Everyone was shocked by the arrival of a second soldier, even Akashi. He was almost certain he had been careful about not being followed, but this was not his first mistake in the last few days. "Hurry up, kill them." Said the little chubby man and ran towards the nearest door and out of the room, leaving three, yet to be four, brutes. The fourth man arrived from the same door Mr. Cottage ran through but carrying a shotgun between his arms. Akashi only stood up and took his two guns out. He was not concerned about any lives lost, not even the other marine's life, but neither were them.

It was only a few seconds before the armed brute pointed his shotgun at the blond marine. The other three brutes ran towards these two soldiers, leaving each one with two brutes to fight with. The first brute threw a punch at Akashi, missing only by an inch or two. Akashi was actually surprised, they were quite fast for their size. As the second one took a table and threw it towards Akashi, who had now his back against a wall, the marine ducked, having the wooden structure shatter above him. He quickly pointed his guns at the enemies and fired both guns, one of them damaging the first brute's shoulder and the other one hitting the second brute's chest. One was now down, but Akashi used his time to dash towards the surviving brute and landed a punch at his face before he could react. Those first brutes were not as strong as Akashi, however; he was probably finding a few more before getting to Mr. Cottage.
