The docks of Mock Town weren't exactly the image one would think they would see when they imagined a town's docks. Along with the nighttime fog that hazed over the waters and along the wooden planks that served to allow sailors to safely walk into town, it was also littered with abandoned warehouses, or at least warehouses that should be abandoned. Some of them were only abandoned in name alone, being homes to squatters or smugglers. It was a bit of a balance, as when the smugglers didn't need to import or export their stolen goods the squatters would then use them as homes, and the other way around was just the same, where when squatters were moving in the smugglers would be gone. It was a circle of life for the downtrodden and pitiful, and while Legosi is most certainly not one of those that actually live in the warehouses, he was lucky enough to board one up, kicking the others out.

This would serve for them to safely talk about this job without anyone else actually butting in or overhearing. It was also perfect because during this span of three days the young buck's antlers had shed, leaving him with no antlers, broken or not. As he waited, his left arm freshly stitched and bandaged up, he would reflect on his appearance. It was disgustingly feminine without his antlers, what with his lean body and softer features. It was hardly anything anyone would call intimidating. He had wondered what he could do to change that, and yet he came up with nothing. Face paint would be wasted on him due to his fur and the same went for conventional tattoos. Hell, the only reason his marking of No.4 on his right shoulder was still visible was because they actually branded that into his skin and then inked it in afterwards, as a means to ensure it was a permanent symbol of how little value he was.

With a heavy sigh, he already knew he couldn't do anything, so while looking at himself in the broken mirror he would slide back on his dress clothes, fitting them to his body and ensuring that he still looked proper, even with the light blood stain that came down from his head past his left eye from the antler shedding. He can clean that off later, for now he had to wait for the others to come. He already knew he was here earlier than planned, but that was so he could actually get things prepared. Legosi already knew the others wanted to rob Goh, meaning that they more than likely didn't wish to get into a fight, but he wanted more than that, not to mention that if the guards and co end up killing Bermudo then all the better, since that would mean he won't have to deal with the lion afterwards.

He wanted to ensure they would actually encounter Goh while also ensuring that they wouldn't have to deal with too much opposition, and the only way to make sure that they do would be to wait until after tonight's fight, meaning early morning. That's more than perfect, as that means at the most four people should be present, and those four would be Goh and his three guards he keeps on the premises at all times. As for the target, Legosi already knew that the slob kept his things within the manager's office, locked away from all fighters unless they were certain kinds of Minks that needed to give him a "special favor" before they can participate. Unfortunately for both himself and Goh, Legosi was one such Mink, and he had done it enough times that he knew where to look. The only real issue was actually getting there without getting killed.

That was something that can be discussed with the others though, and so he would wait around the entrance of the warehouse for the others to arrive, formulating a plan as he did so.

Taiyo

Taiyo
A few days had passed since Taiyo had made his encounter with the two minks he'd met, by the names of Lego and Bermudo. After the events of the underground fighting tournament, and the way that Lego had been cheated from his earnings even after winning, Taiyo had come up with a plan. He despised the injustice done by the man known as Goh enough to want to retaliate, and involve himself in the situation. He'd come up with the idea of taking the money that Goh earned Lego by force. He usually never enjoyed intentionally harming the livelihood of other people, and refused to do so. This however, was a situation under circumstances where it almost seemed called for. It wasn't as if Goh was rightfully earning the money he had to his name, he was putting people like Lego in the ring, leaving them to brutalize one another, all so he could keep the profits from their work. It was truly evil, and Taiyo refused to let it happen any longer. Both Legosi and Bermudo agreed to participate, with Lego instructing them to take a few days and then meet at one of the abandoned warehouses by the docks. That was the next destination.

Taiyo waited for the sun to set, and then headed out for the docks. He was eagerly anticipating this moment, making sure to continue his training throughout the days leading up to it. He wanted to get his name out there, and start his journey as a pirate. This was the best way for him to do so. He came through Mock town, and then headed towards the area where incoming travelers would dock their ships. Upon one side of the docks, there'd been multiple warehouses. He came up to the one with the windows still in tact, and quickly saw Legosi. His antlers had now fully shed, and he had wrapped up the immense cut would on his left forearm that Bermudo had given him. Taiyo smiled, and then decided to make his presence known.

"Hey there Lego!"

He continued walking until he was just a few feet away from his soon to be crew mate. He looked around to make sure that there was nobody there that could potentially be of a detriment to their plans, and then spoke once more.

"Now all that's left is Bermudo. Once we're all here, we can go over the details."

Bermudo
Bermudo chewed on his dinner slowly as he gazed at nothing in particular, having used up the last of his funds to get a room and some food at an inn. His meal wasn't illustrious in the least, simply being a small slab of pork chop with a bit of rice on the side with a cup of water. Days have passed since that night at the tournament where he lost to a fellow mink by the name of Legosi, whom at the time he simply knew as Buck. He was still a bit sore from that battle, both physically and a little bit mentally. To see that even if he had won he still would've been cheated out of his rightful prize and still be stuck living here. The very thought infuriated Bermudo.

Slicing off the last piece of meat from the bone with his knife, he recalled that tonight they were going to meet. To discuss about how they were going to rob the greasy ape with the least amount of trouble. Honestly, Bermudo believed he could've done such a thing himself. It wasn't first time he's done something like this and wouldn't be the last, though he couldn't argue that things were much more in favor if he worked together those two, Legosi and Taiyo. Hell, he might just even be able to get to the money first and pocket most of it before they knew what was going on. Smiling at the thought, he went on and finished his dinner before heading out to the streets. It was already late at night, being quite close to morning. No moon was out, so the only illumination Bermudo had were the light posts that dotted many of Mock Town's streets.

"I should pick up the pace," He mused to himself as he rounded a corner and headed towards the docks, "don't want them to rag on me about being late." A little bit of fog loomed over the harbor's waters, masking a bit of the sea in a sort of ethereal blanket. Luckily none of it managed to get on to the actual dock, allowing Bermudo see clear enough as he approached the warehouses. From there he slowed his strut, observing each of the "abandoned" buildings and making sure their windows were not broken.

His hand gently rubbed the revolver in his suit pocket, still loaded with the last of his six bullets. He'll to make them count if things got ugly. Luckily it seems that wasn't the case yet, as he soon stumbled upon what seemed like the warehouse Legosi described. After all, it was the only one he's found thus far whose windows weren't shattered. "Good evening." He would say plainly as he entered the old building and saw Legosi and Taiyo, noting the deer's lack of antlers and somewhat recalling that they shed them every so often. It was not a process he wanted to see, however, but nonetheless.

Legosi was pleased someone didn't stand him up. Right as he was beginning to get impatient enough to call it off, he was pleased to see Taiyo waltz on through, a smile on his face and a greeting escaping his lips. He kept a watchful eye on what he assumed would become his captain after this mess is all over and done with as he walked on for another few feet, seemingly checking the area before going back over to talk to him. He mentioned that all the was left is Bermudo, and that once they're all here they can go over the details. "Maybe we're better off just going on without it." He would mutter under his breath as he looked on, attempting to let silence take over as he waited on the final participant of their raid.

Legosi's feelings on the lion couldn't honestly have been lower. To him, Bermudo was no better than Goh and his goons, and his wounds still tingled and shot out in pain just from looking at him. He almost preferred Bermudo not to come just because Legosi wasn't even sure if having his would-be mugger around would've been worth what will probably be a mission failure due to a happy-go-lucky torture session Bermudo decides to hold on impulse like he did with Bror. Simply put all Legosi wanted was to go in, steal the prize, and leave after destroying Goh, nothing more and nothing less, he didn't want to look over his shoulder every five seconds just to make sure Bermudo wasn't there with a gun pointed at his back.

Still, he had to begrudgingly allow the lion to join in. The thing was a good fighter, even if it was a brutal one, not to mention the fact that it seemed competent with a gun made it pretty useful to help fight against some gun-wielding guards as well. Legosi wasn't entirely sure whether or not they lived there like Goh did, only that in between before and after he would get drugged he would see them, the former guarding the entry, the latter dragging his used flesh out to dry off outside. Maybe they were actually trash collectors, instead?

"Happy to see some of us can show up on time." He said with a bitchy tone of voice, his eyes narrowing for but a few short seconds before softening upon looking back over to Taiyo. "Alright, now that everyone is here I can go ahead and let you both know that Goh actually lives there, but we can possibly make sure we avoid him by coming in the early hours, around four in the morning. The man likes to drink, so he's usually found down at Goldies at that time, boosting his own ego about how great he is to his guards. At that time we'll more than likely will have to deal with a maximum of two guards at the most, but between the three of us as long as we hit hard we can take them out."

"As for the prizes.." His voice would trail away as he had to avert his eyes, his right hand once more grabbing ahold of his left bicep, shuddering slightly before regaining his composure. "I've been in his office enough to know that he keeps his wealth there. He also sleeps there too, so if he's asleep, then as long as we're quiet we could easily handle him should he wake. I was thinking that since Bermudo has a gun it should go ahead and cover the first floor alongside you Taiyo. I know Goh's office enough to know where the goods are."

"Do you guys have any questions or suggestions?" He would ask the two, his eyes going from one to the other as he allowed his information to sink in.

Taiyo

Taiyo
After Taiyo had made his presence known, all that was left for the two was to wait for Bermudo. Taiyo took the time to think about the Lion man's presence there. Had he made a mistake by extending the invitation out to him as well? It was very clear that He had his own, non just motives behind agreeing to participate. He cared not of justice for Legosi, but for a way to fill his own pockets. He had pulled a gun on the two after all, and threatened Lego's life for something he'd earned on his own. Taiyo knew for a fact that he couldn't allow those actions be representative of himself, or anything he did. He wouldn't allow that to happen. Ground rules would have to be set. Bermudo had to know that sadistic displays of violence, and taking from the innocent were not things that he was going to allow to happen, and he would take the time before they struck to ensure he let that be known.

"Good evening."

his train of thought was interrupted by none other than the voice of Bermudo, as Taiyo turned his eyes towards the lion man.

"Good evening Bermudo, glad you showed up."

Legosi however, didn't seem to be that happy about Bermudo's presence, making a snarky remark about his lateness. He didn't blame Lego for disliking the Lion who'd left marks on his body, but one thing was certain. If the three were going to complete this job, and in the future be a successful pirate crew, they all had to get along. Or at the very least learn to tolerate one another. After letting his distaste with Bermudo's attendance be known, He turned his attentions back towards Taiyo with a more welcoming expression upon his face.

Taiyo listened intensely as Lego filled him in on the situation, retaining all the information that he could. From what he'd said, there would at the most be two people they'd have to deal with. 3 vs 2? The odds were in their favor, as long as they came in swinging heavy. Taiyo continued to listen as Lego began to speak about what they'd come their for, the prizes that he was owed. He trailed off, grabbed hold of his left arm, and shuddered slightly before coming back to his train of thought.

He liked the sound of this so far. He knew the area well. If he took lead, they could be in and out in no time. Bermudo could cover them with his revolver just in case things went south, and they could get what they came there for and leave. It was solid enough for Taiyo to nod his head in agreement. He liked the direction which they were headed.

"Do you guys have any questions or suggestions?"

"No. Everything sounds good so far. You know the area, so you can take lead. You and I will follow behind you. There has to be one understanding that we all must come to though..."

He let his demand ring further with both for a few moments, and then stared directly at Bermudo. While he had addressed them all, this request was mainly for him.

"We aren't here to do anything than get what we came for. If it's not life or death, nobody has to get hurt. And if we do have to fight, none of us are allowed to take it any further than it has to go. Mercy must be shown."

He Knew that his stipulation would more than likely be alright with Lego, but wanted to set the ground rules for Bermudo. Taiyo was in no interest of harming anyone who didn't have to be harmed.

Bermudo
Bermudo would seemingly be unfazed by Legosi's tone, staring directly in his venomous eyes until the deer turned his attention towards Taiyo, his face softening as he did. It seemed the cervine held a rather low opinion of him, mostly likely due to the fact that he did slice up his arm and then pointed a gun to his head. Not that Legosi's opinion meant much in the grand scheme of things. If he wanted things to run smoothly, he have to put aside whatever grass-eater grievances he had about Bermudo. Especially since they were going to actively rob a man who has enough belli to hire guards and arm them, even if the guards themselves were just a bunch of degenerates he scraped off the street.

That being said though, Bermudo would return Taiyo's politeness with his own, nodding and smiling in response. However, he was no fool. He honestly doubted that the bald ape had a much higher opinion of him than Legosi due to having attended the tournament.  Not only that, he was also present when Bermudo tried to rightfully steal his prize from Legosi. Nonetheless, if they were going to work as a group they should try to not fight each other along the way. Thus, Bermudo was going to try his best to be a "team player" during this, at least until everything goes wrong and he sees a chance of getting out scot-free.

Bermudo would listen intensely as Legosi began explaining the plan, telling how in the early hours of the morning Goh would frequent an old, run-down pub known as Goldies with some of the guards, leaving only two to watch over the warehouse. Before he could explain more, however, the deer would take a hold of his left bicep and shudder in pain, causing a small sense of sadistic joy in Bermudo. He was happy to see that despite his loss at the hands of the stag, he managed to leave him with a rather painful reminder of what it was like to cross fists with him. This wouldn't show, however, as Bermudo made sure to keep his composure and maintain his expressionless visage.

Soon Legosi continued with his run-down of what they should do, mentioning where the fat slob kept his cash. Naturally Bermudo made sure to remember that detail especially in-case things went sour, so that he at least knew where to look if he ever decided to come back. Despite focusing on that detail, however, Bermudo didn't miss the... slip up Legosi made as he continued on with explaining what each of them should do. So the bush-licker thinks that he's not even worthy of being considered a person, eh? That's quaint, especially coming from a mink whose basal form is considered a common and delicious food.

With all of that done, Legosi would turn to both to them to see if they had any questions or ideas for what was about to come. Before anything could be said, however, Taiyo began to speak. Staring right at him, Taiyo essentially demanded from Bermudo to not kill unless needed, to not fight unless threatened. That mercy must be shown. Bermudo, however, said nothing at first. Rather, he let out a sort of tired sigh as he took off his glasses, cleaning them with his suit jacket. "We will have to fight," he said plainly as he slipped them back onto his face, "somebody will get hurt, and they won't show mercy to us. I won't argue with you, as cooperation is needed if we want this to succeed... however I will do what I must to survive." He wasn't about to be dictated what to do by some ape he just met a few days ago, especially one who doesn't seem to know how the real world works. Still, it's more beneficial to stay in this group for now. "And as for you Legosi, you're not exactly the best person to be calling others "it", especially when your kind is commonly used for consumption by the entire populace."

Legosi nodded his head in satisfaction to the understanding that seemed to come from the two, especially Bermudo, whom of which he wouldn't put it past to just break into an outrage about wanting to kill and steal every for himself and that they shouldn't get in the way. The deer Mink was satisfied in knowing that that wouldn't be the case, however, it seemed they both did wish to speak and establish other things of course, which was something he expected, not only as fellow partners in crime but also as a soon-to-be-formed pirate crew.

Taiyo was perfectly fine with Legosi taking the lead due to him knowing the area, which Legosi was more than fine with. As he presented this plan that would play perfectly into the true plan, as he can spearhead the way to the office and take the prizes, enacting revenge upon Goh before that thing with the gun and glasses can do it himself as some sort of way to get his murder boner off. Yeah, him being in the lead was just perfect for the true plan he had in mind, although he was curious about Taiyo's one demand, wondering what it was exactly that his newly made captain would want from him as part of the bargain.

He shouldn't have been surprised with what came out of the man's mouth though. A demand to show mercy, to not kill and to not take it too far. That was exactly how Legosi himself wished to operate. Granted, his own desire to play things that way comes from the simple fact that building a food chain off of a pile of dead bodies or mentally scarred people would make him the strongest among a graveyard, and as a result nothing. He needed as many enemies he defeats alive as possible so they'll actually know who it was exactly that defeated them. "You're the Captain, I swear to not bite anyones' thumb off." He replied, a sly smirk crawling on his the corners of his mouth as he would glance at Bermudo for but a few moments before looking back at Taiyo, expecting him to say more.

It turns out however that it wouldn't be him that acted, but instead Bermudo, whom of which took off his glasses and cleaned them using his jacket, slipping them back on, almost as if he was prepping himself for a snarky remark, which is exactly what he had given. He acted almost like a tired mentor trying to lecture a stubborn student on how to act, stating flatout that they have to fight and that people'll get hurt, especially with one side showing no mercy. He then made it clear that he will do whatever it takes to survive. Legosi took this into consideration. For anyone else it was a sound point, but all he saw was a sadistic mugger, someone who saw himself as above others despite living in Jaya, partaking in underground fights and in meetings held in abandoned buildings. This person literally was no better than them. Hell, with how he treats others, Legosi will happily out on a limb to say that he was worse than them.

He ended his drabble with a comeback towards Legosi, flatout telling him that he's not the best person to be calling others "it", especially when his kind is more commonly used for consumption by everyone. Now it seemed like Bermudo was taking potshots as well, engaging Legosi in what was definitely a childish fight, but one that he had to engage in nonetheless. "Yeah, I'm a deer, so what?" He responded as he moved towards the door, clasping his left hand upon the handle, gripping it tightly, ready to slide it upwards. "But the big difference between us, Bermudo, is that I don't need to torture others to get over the fact that I'm washed up. I get to start my own dream after this while you're stuck mugging someone else." With that, he tore the handle upwards, violently opening the entrance and motioning them to leave.

"If you after acting like an animal are going to start acting like I'm in the same group as you, then think differently. Unlike you I already proved that I have self control. Now how about we go and meet up around three-thirty outside of Goh's arena before Round Two starts right now." His tone was serrated like a blade, threatening to cut and leave behind jagged words filled with his irritation towards that thing. Legosi couldn't hope for anything more than to see  Bermudo hurt or even taken care of from this, but for now he would have to actually take a few moments to himself. After Taiyo and Bermudo would actually leave, he would slam the door shut, this time taking the time along to grab his right shoulder tightly, his tattoo just tingling from Bermudo's words.

Taiyo

Taiyo
"You're the Captain, I swear to not bite anyones' thumb off."

Taiyo took note of two things about Legosi's response to his demand. He complied, even going as far as to refer to Taiyo as the 'Captain'. The prospect of him finally achieving said title put a smile on his face as he heard it. The second thing he'd noticed, was how Legosi took a moment with his response reference Bermudo's actions the following night, and how he'd brutalized the man within the fighting tournament. Taiyo noticed how Legosi appeared to have been just as disturbed and traumatized by the lion man's actions as he'd been. While Taiyo had directed his comments specifically towards Bermudo, he knew that the three of them were now a team. No team was going to function without stability and respect, and he realized that would have to be something that they all showed one another in order for them to succeed. Taiyo looked in the direction of Bermudo, anticpating how he would react to his demands. He watched as the lion man removed the glasses from his face, sighing as he began to clean them off on the jacket he wore.

"We will have to fight."

Bermudo took a moment to position his glasses back upon his face, and then continued speaking.

"somebody will get hurt, and they won't show mercy to us. I won't argue with you, as cooperation is needed if we want this to succeed... however I will do what I must to survive."

Taiyo grimaced in response to Bermudo's complete disregard of what he'd said. He was annoyed with Bermudo's need to challenge his one request. It couldn't have been difficult to get in and out of the warehouse without causing any unnecessary harm. He knew it wasn't. Bermudo was just looking for a way to morally justify his lack of humanity. It disgusted Taiyo, but he knew that part of what Bermudo had said was true. If this was to be a success, the three of them would have to cooperate well with one another. He removed his expression, replacing it with a blank stare, followed with a nod of agreement. Cooperation was the key to the mission being accomplished.

"And as for you Legosi, you're not exactly the best person to be calling others "it", especially when your kind is commonly used for consumption by the entire populace."

Bermudo fired back at one of the comments Legosi had made earlier, quickly contradicting the statement he'd just made about cooperating with one another. To Taiyo, in this moment one thing was certain. These two did not like one another. He could not hear it, but see it on one another's faces. There was definitely tension between the two, but Taiyo couldn't pinpoint an exact reasoning towards why. Legosi's reasoning could have been something similar to Taiyo's reasons for being hesitant towards cozying up to Bermudo, being his sadistic actions and the fact that he'd pulled a gun on him the following day. It could have been something deeper, the issues the two had with one another could have been rooted in something greater than what was being presented. Did the two have history? Taiyo couldn't tell for sure.

Legosi responded to Bermudo with a few quips of his own, criticizing Bermudo for his brutality and his lack of understanding towards how his actions would impact others. As he spoke, he headed towards the door from which they'd all entered the warehouse, ripping the door wide open, and gesturing for the two to leave.

"If you after acting like an animal are going to start acting like I'm in the same group as you, then think differently. Unlike you I already proved that I have self control. Now how about we go and meet up around three-thirty outside of Goh's arena before Round Two starts right now."

Taiyo could tell by the tone of his voice that he was cleary affected by the statement Bermudo had made. His dislike of the lion man could be heard in his tone, and Taiyo knew that this was a detriment to all three of them. He would look towards Bermudo, shaking his head in disapproval of the words he'd said. He then looked back towards Legosi before speaking.

"There is nothing wrong with your "kind", Lego. You're a man, just like me. Just like Mudo. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Let's get back what you earned."

He took the moment to speak in an attempts to let the deer man know that he had his back, and would continue to. He was apart of his soon to be pirate crew after all. After speaking his piece, he headed out of the front of the warehouse, and began heading in the direction of the warehouse that Goh had been using for his underground fighting ring.

Fire. Fire was what was building up inside of Bermudo as he heard the piece of venison speak, responding to the fact that he called him out on his usage of "it" to describe Bermudo. Washed... up? Wash up!? Unless he had some memory damage, Bermudo was certain that, unlike the filthy schmuck before him, he actually had a reputation. He actually had (keyword being "had") money. His name actually means something! He didn't need some pointless tournament for that. His hate would only grow as the damned deer before him angrily opened the door and continued to spew garbage from his mouth. Self-control? What self-control!? Evidently he doesn't have enough of it if he couldn't keep his mouth from starting something like this in the first place.

His eyes bore hellfire while his exposed teeth showed savagery as his hand immediately went into his pocket and began pulling out his revolver. Once it was half-way free, however, Bermudo stopped. Though gritting his teeth and visibly shaking with rage Bermudo would shakily inhale, closing his eyes as he did as he did his best to recompose himself. He didn't even notice the look Taiyo gave him, not that he would care. He was too focused on what was happening at the moment. "I could kill you both where you stand." He snarled in his mind, the gun still exposed and shaking. "I could put a hole in your worthless fucking skulls and no one would care." Slowly and surely though, Bermudo would place the revolver back in his pocket as he let out a sharp exhale. "....But I won't....I won't give you the satisfaction."

Gulping audibly Bermudo would slowly open his eyes and stare at the deer man. With his teeth no longer bared and his form no longer seething with anger, Bermudo seemly lacked any characteristics of rage... except for his eyes. Filled with nothing but contempt they stabbed into Legosi like poisoned daggers, his hatred practically seeping from them as he stared at the deer. Soon, however, he would break his stare and readjust himself. Straightening his suit, running a hand through his mane and the like. There was still business that needed to be done tonight, and he wasn't going to waste it by spending his time with some no-life cervine who believes himself to be so much better than others. So, putting his paws in his pants pockets, Bermudo began to walk towards the door, seemingly calm, uttering a simple phrase as he passed by Legosi.

"Don't get eaten."

With that he made his way outside and, spotting Taiyo walking ahead, would quietly make his way towards him. "It's safer to stay in groups." He would say dryly as he soon walked beside the hairless ape, staring straight ahead.

The first one to exit would be Taiyo, whom of which of course reassured Legosi that there's nothing wrong with his kind, that he's a man just like him and just like Bermudo. He shouldn't let his emotions get the best of him. It was funny hearing a human reassure a mink that they're one in the same, that underneath they're all the same, and even funnier looping in Bermudo of all people with them as well. In the short time Legosi had met the lion the single thing that has been made clearer than anything else was the simple fact that they're not the same. There may be nothing wrong with Legosi's kind, but there's something wrong with Bermudo's. Yes, all of those carnivore minks, all of those monsters that are born with the capabilities to be a predator. There's something wrong with all of them, and not even Legosi knew what exactly it was.

In a fit of rage he would slam his hand against the metal door, causing it to shiver and create a loud rattling sound that echoed through the empty confines of the warehouse. "They're all just backstabbing monsters!" He shouted to no one whatsoever. It made him sick that he still had to receive help from that thing. That same creature that had the audacity to try to rob Legosi, to take away his one big shot of getting away. He knew without a fact that tonight would be no different to that night as well, that Bermudo's kind are prone to this. They don't value their friends. They just abandon them when rescued, using them before then like an emotional sack of meat, playing with their food for comfort. Legosi refused to be played with tonight, however. He wasn't going to allow Bermudo to have his way, not tonight.

Tonight it won't be him that has to make sure to not get eaten, but Bermudo.

"What're we going to do about him? Are we just going to let him backstab you again?" Another voice rung out from the confines of the warehouse. Legosi looked towards the glass he was using for a mirror just recently, seeing within its reflective layers held another depiction of him, a scowl on his face and two beautiful antlers protruding from his head. The hornless deer made his way over to the mirror, taking a closer look at himself before turning back away, almost as though he couldn't stand to face seeing the man behind the glass. "I-I don't know. Taiyo seems to want us to try to get along for now, but I can't. I just know that he's going to do something again. It's inevitable with his kind."

"So what? If you were worth anything you would go ahead and do it." He may be vague, but Legosi immediately knew what he was suggesting as well, it was what the deer mink himself had considered during this meeting, but now faced with that question from another.. it seemed impossible. "You dare ask me if I'm going to kill-" He turned, and immediately his voice cut off from shock, as no longer was he standing in his reflection, but that of a scraggly deer child, wearing nothing more than rags for pants, a big black "No. 4" seen clear as day on his right shoulder. "Why not? You were practically planning it before. You're nothing, especially with them around. Minks like him just hurt and backstab others. We should get rid of that monster before he does that to someone else."

Legosi stared into the eyes of the child, and the child stared back into his own. He can see the same darkness within his eyes that he saw within Bermudo's. Just the stare alone made him grab his right shoulder, his fingers digging directly into where his own No.4 tattoo is, shuddering as he considered such a decision. Should he accept this darkness again, the same darkness he had escaped as a child? Was it really worth risking himself to get rid of Bermudo, just for the crime of being an evil lion? He was lost for that moment, unsure of what to do. His moral compass wanted him to refuse, but for some reason, in that moment, he felt it was the right thing to do. Afterall, the number four means death. "What're you thinking?"

---

It was thirty minutes until four in the morning, and nothing would be around the beaten down warehouse that held the underground fighting arena that Goh owns. Nothing but the forest facing the northern exit and two guards outside, one on the south side and one on the north. Silence filled the nighttime cool air, bearing an ill omen of silence, one that Legosi wished wasn't around for that night. He was hoping for at least some cicadas or something else of the sort to be making noise, but instead nothing was, and that wasn't good news whatsoever since that means stealth was out of the picture. No, now if they truly wanted to begin, it would have to be a full-scale assault, with all three rushing that guards and preparing themselves for the other to come around the corner.

He already came up with an idea on what to do with that though, one that could open up an opportunity for him to be able to do what he had discussed earlier as well. As soon as Bermudo and Taiyo would arrive, hidden in the shadows of the trees, Legosi would speak to them both while keeping his eyes on the northern guard. In a hushed tone he would begin to explain the situation. "There seems to be only two of them out here, just like we discussed. I think it would be most efficient for our captain to lure the one to the south over here by himself, I'm sure he's more than strong enough to do so and we can make sure they all stay in one place. While Taiyo does that, I want Bermudo and I to handle this one, that way I can quickly make my way in and make sure everything is clear on the inside."

This was a moment where he refused to hear any sort of protests or suggestions. This was his plan, something he wanted to do and something that he feels justified in calling on now. After all, in Taiyo's own words Legosi knew this place better than they did, so there's no way he should hold much issue in Legosi's decision. "We don't want to kill anyone, so no shooting on our end until we get in. Let's go!" He immediately advanced out of the trees, running the ten meter distance directly towards the grunt, whom of which panicked upon seeing him, taking a few moments before readying his rifle in fear. Legosi had studied before on ones shooting ability when they panic, however, and how they become less accurate naturally, and this was no different. At six meters, the bullet would graze Legosi's shoulder just enough to make him snarl and to tear that portion of his jacket, but not deep enough to cause the deer to halt his progress. This was followed with a loud sound of the rifle, the boom causing birds hidden in the trees to fly out, making a lot of noise due to their panic while Legosi's ears rang lightly, immediately making him feel adrenaline course through his veins.

Two meters were left before he outright lunged at the guard, grabbing his rifle with both hands and using his momentum to slam his right shoulder directly into his chest, knocking the wind out of the guard, where he would then yank on the rifle, raising his right foot and pushing off the guard with it, knocking the man back and disarming him. "Bermudo, finish him!" He shouted with haste towards the lion as he held the rifle in his right hand and grabbed the door handle with his left, waiting on the others to engage the enemy.

Taiyo

Taiyo
"It's safer to stay in groups."

Taiyo would hear the voice of Bermudo, as he walked towards him, coming to walk next to him on his left hand side. Taiyo glanced over towards Bermudo, and then nodded to show he agreed with his sentiment. The two of them were by themselves, walking towards their destination of the fight-club warehouse where they'd met the night before. Taiyo thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try and develop more of an understand of Bermudo. By extending the idea of taking Legosi's rewards from Goh towards Bermudo, his intentions were simply to get an extra hand in getting the job done, and potentially recruit an extra person for his crew. That was the idea he'd made in his mind, at least. He definitely hadn't made Bermudo aware of the fact that those were his intentions. Was this someone that he wanted to be associated with? Did he want the actions of Bermudo to be reflective of his own ideologies in the public's view? Of course he didn't. However, there was one thing about the lion man that forced Taiyo to genuinely weigh out the pros and cons of an alliance between them. He was strong, and he could fight. That was essential to anything and anyone trying to get something done. Strength. Bermudo definitely had it. The question was, how would he choose to use it? Taiyo wasn't sure. He had no clue what being in the same crew with Bermudo would entail, or whether he would listen to the ideas and plans Taiyo would lay out for them. While the main focus was to ensure Lego got back what belonged to him, this event would also serve as a means for Taiyo to observe how the three could work together as a team. While the two kept up their walking pace, he would open his mouth to speak his intentions.

"I understand your intentions from showing up here. You came for the money. I respect that. I know the need all too well. I need to make it known however, that I didn't come here for money. My only interests are ensuring that Legosi gets back what he is owed, and..."

He took a moment before continuing, making sure his eyes briefly met Bermudo's.

"To recruit you both. That was also the reason I came to the fight the other day. I was looking for people who were strong, to help me further my goals and my ideologies. I want to spread my mark across the seas. I don't want there to be a single island that doesn't know who I am or what I stand for. Would you like to help me accomplish that?"

After he would receive his answer, Taiyo would go his separate way from Bermudo, where he would prepare himself. A few hours later he came up to the opening within the trees and bushes in the forest, to the end of the dirt path. About ten meters away from where they stood was the warehouse. Taiyo could clearly make out a guard from the front entrance they'd all entered through the last time he was present. He could see a rifle in his hands as well, but the guard didn't seem to notice their present just yet due to the trees and bushes blocking the majority of his view in the darkness of the night. A few feet in front of him and to his side, Taiyo would make out the figure of none other than Legosi. He would listen in closely, and wait for Legosi to tell them how to move.

According To Legosi, Taiyo was to go towards the opposite end of the warehouse and lure the second guard towards them in order to keep them all in one place. He could definitely handle him on his own. He made sure to retain the orders that he'd been given, and prepared to act accordingly.

"We don't want to kill anyone, so no shooting on our end until we get in. Let's go!"

Taiyo watched as Legosi made his move directly after speaking, running out of the trees and towards the first guard. Taiyo didn't take another moment to hesitate, running to his right, deeper into the trees, about 10 meters away from where they were standing. He would then turn himself back in the direction of the warehouse, running alongside the array of trees and bushes among the right-hand side of the warehouse, attempting to sneak up on the second guard. As he was about 8 meters away from the other side of the warehouse, a large booming noise could be heard coming from the direction of Legosi and Bermudo. A gunshot. Taiyo grimaced at the sound, wondering what had happened since he was now out of view of the two. Regardless, he had to accomplish what he'd been told to.

"The hell was that?!?"

The second guard appeared to have heard the gunshot as well, and Taiyo stopped dead in his tracks as he watched the side of the building, viewing The guard as he walked around the corner and towards the direction of Legosi and Bermudo, rifle in his hand. Now was the time to act. There was about a ten meter distance between the two from where Taiyo stood. He had to get ready to fight. Quickly, he tensed up his muscles, focusing all of his enery into his legs. He then made his move, sprinting out of the trees and directly towards the second guard.

"I'm right here!!"

He yelled at the top of his lungs, making sure that the guard would not have any time to focus in on his comrades. The second guard almost immediately turned towards Taiyo, and Taiyo knew what would come next. He was prepared. As the guard began to lift up his gun to aim at Taiyo, he was already on the move. He quickly leaped forward just as the guard placed his finger on the trigger and shot, the bullet from his rifle grazed the sole of his sandal as he did so. His leap took him another 8 meters forward, clearing the distance between him and the guard as Taiyo was now only a few feet away from where he stood. Gravity brought him back down to the ground just as the guard was going to reload his chamber. Taiyo would hit the ground, and immediately after make his move, bringing up his right leg, and aiming a kick at the right side of the guard's torso. The kick connected, causing the guard to lose grip on his firearm, and skid across the ground a few meters to his left, in the direction of Legosi and Bermudo. Taiyo quickly followed this up with a punch, aimed directly at the guard's stomach. The hit connected, causing the guard to gasp for air, sending him flying back once more after Taiyo pushed himself deeper into the punch to propel him. He would land a few more meters back at this point being in front of the warehouse, where Legosi and Bermudo were handling the second guard. He would lay out in the front of the warehouse, incapacitated. Taiyo would then smile at his accomplishment, and run back towards the front of the warehouse to see how Legosi and Bermudo were handling their half of the mission so far.

Bermudo

Bermudo
Many things were running through Bermudo's mind, most of which comprised of the various, gruesome ways that Legosi could be beaten and killed. The filthy deer man ignited a certain fury in Bermudo and, while not planning to show it externally, was more than happy to imagine what he would do to him if the circumstances were slightly different. He resisted the urge to fillet Legosi, however, for two main reasons. One being the operation at hand. The chances of success were boosted with more of them taking a role in this. It would be simply illogical and impractical to have Legosi "be late" for his own plan. The other reason was simply because Bermudo wouldn't give that grass-licker the pleasure of proving him right. That he lacked any sort of a self-control. What arrogance. Why, he'll simply have to prove the poor, dumb veggie eater wrong!

Interrupting his thoughts and the silence that surrounded them, Taiyo began speaking to Bermudo. He would go on to explain how he understands what Bermudo's intentions are, pointing out how he was coming along simply for the money and that he respected that. Bermudo would say nothing of course, rather, he would simply look at Taiyo as he spoke. The ape would reveal that he wanted to recruit both of them. That he came to the fighting tournament to not witness a bloodbath, but to scout out potential crew members so that he could further his own goals and ideologies. Honestly, Bermudo couldn't blame him. The boy was clever to actually go to a fighting tournament to see the strongest there was, especially in a cesspool like Jaya. He sure did seem to have the confidence for pirating as well. Bermudo still wasn't that impressed, however. So far, Taiyo has essentially proven himself to be some big dreaming kid whose conscience would get him killed if he encounters the wrong person. "I'll think about it." Came the simple response as the two parted ways in-order to prepare for what was about to occur.

Within a couple of hours Bermudo would silently enter the forest through a parting in the foliage and would easily find his way through the old and down-trodden dirt path that he had already used once before. Making sure to avoid stepping on things like twigs and dead leaves, Bermudo made his way towards the warehouse. Keeping to the trees and their shadows, he eventually came upon Legosi and Taiyo waiting in silence and staring at the one guard ahead. Not prying his eyes away from the rifle-wielding man, Legosi would begin to speak in a hushed tone to the both of them, explaining his plan. In all honesty it was a sound plan for a herbivore, keeping the guards close in one place while essentially overwhelming them before they could react. Although Bermudo honestly felt this could be much easier with a simple shot to the head, he decided not to his voice opinion. Not now at least.

Suddenly, it was time, and Legosi was the first to charge into battle with Taiyo following close behind. Bermudo, taken by mild surprise, simply sighed and mimicked them, charging head on even as the guard let out on gunshot. Soon Legosi was tussling with the guard, having smashed his right shoulder into him before taking away his rifle and kicking him away.

"Bermudo, finish him!"

"Just shoot him!" Came the lion's response, not expecting the deer to actually heed his request. Thus, Bermudo quickly pounced onto the fallen, hairless ape, his back now facing Legosi. Before the guard could do so much as push him off, Bermudo would wrap his paws around his neck and constrict them, cutting off the guard's airflow. Though he was met with various pulls and tugs at his arms, trying to make him let go, Bermudo didn't budge. Honestly, the fat ape shouldn't have skimped out on buying actual guards rather than these poor chumps he found.

"That's it....sleep." Bermudo growled as the guard fought less and less, the asphyxiation making him weaker the more he struggled until he simply didn't. Though not exactly wanting to, Bermudo would slowly unclasp his paws around the now unconscious guard's neck and stand, fists clenched, as he stared down at him.... or at least he was until the body of the other guard fell out of seemingly no where, also unconscious. He would simply raise an eyebrow as Taiyo came back, being quite pleased with himself for doing.... whatever the hell he did to the guard.

"Before you even ask," Bermudo started as he stared at Taiyo, forming something of an annoyed glare, "he's not dead. Just unconscious....but it would be wise if we hid them in-case someone comes along." He would proceed to dust himself off before glancing at both Legosi and Taiyo, taking in their expressions before continuing. "I'll hide them. I been doing this shit longer than both of you anyway. In the meantime, you two should go inside and see if the monkey left any surprises for us."

At first Legosi was about to curse at himself when Bermudo's response to just shoot the man came, causing him to almost do so just to keep up appearances. Taiyo still wasn't back yet, so he could still fire off a second shot and stage it so the guard and Bermudo shot one another. All it would require is for Legosi himself to actually move fast enough in pulling Bermudo's gun out and dropping the rifle. It's not something particularly impossible, but he didn't know how fast exactly Taiyo would move to take out the other guard. In fact, he knew nothing about their captain's fighting capabilities, so it would be quite the risk. Still, he needed to take the opportunity to do so anyways.

Thankfully, it seemed that not only did the idiot actually carry through on Legosi's order but on top of that he also had his back turned, and almost as if that was the signal for Legosi to act as well, he released his hold on the door and pulled the gun up with both hands clasps on it, taking at for the back of Bermudo's head. It was then that the deer fully understood the weight of carrying such a dangerous weapon, and the capabilities he had with wielding it. All it took was a singular pull of the trigger to guarantee that he won't be threatened with harm, one more move to erase the existence of this thing from Legosi's sight and free him and Taiyo to continue on, no harm done. The feeling alone excited him, the corners of his mouth rose, forming a small smile, and he took aim.

His finger refused to move, however, almost as if something is holding him back from embracing the darkness. His mind screamed at him, pleaded with him to pull the trigger and end it, but the more he looked at the back of Bermudo's head the more he began seeing stripes, and all too familiar pattern of black and white, causing his smile to vanish and his hands to shake. Finally, out of frustration at both himself and at what he is about to do, Legosi lowered the weapon, the stripes disappearing from his sight, and a sigh escaping his lips.

'Not today.' He mused to himself, his eyes leaving Bermudo as the lion finished knocking out that guard, although Legosi was distracted, too distracted to keep and eye on the door, and as a result when it opened up, slamming right into his back, the deer was knocked off guard. He staggered forwards away from the door. "What the hell is going on out here?!" He could hear someone demand from behind him, causing him to quickly recover as he knew right away who it was. Another guard had appeared at the door, pistol in hand, and his eyes were widened with both surprise and anger. 'I should've shot him when I had the chance. Fuck!' Legosi's mind was screaming at him as he recovered, getting up and charging directly at the guard, where the two locked hands, with Legosi struggling with his injured left to keep the man from pointing the barrel towards his skull.

Still, even with a grazed shoulder and injured arm, the deer mink was stronger than this grunt, and before he knew it just twisting his body and exerting force had forced this man against the wall, where he would force his right hands free before slamming it against the throat of the guard, squeezing and lifting upwards just enough to restrict the flow of air. He could feel the man's strength slowly weaken and the shine of his eyes disappear while the door closed them inside the darkness, and soon enough as he heard the sound of metal hitting the floor, he knew he had won. Releasing the man, he then heard a hard thud as the man's unconscious body hit the floor, where with both hands he would begin dragging it back towards the door, cutting through the darkness to do so, although right as he grabbed the handle a shiver went down his spine, almost as if someone was watching.

The door would open back up again and out emerged Legosi with an unconscious grunt in his hands, pulling the body outside, leaving him laying there with the other two, with Taiyo and Bermudo. Bermudo already spoke, letting their captain know that his victim isn't even dead, but instead unconscious, although he recommended that they hide them just in case someone comes along. Legosi nodded when Bermudo glanced at him, his face not having a scowl towards the lion as usual, but instead a softer look, one that he made an effort to ensure allowed the lion to know that he understood.

"Good idea, Bermudo." Legosi would struggle to get the compliment out of his mouth in response to his suggestion of hiding them. He wasn't about to doubt his ability to hide bodies, especially considering that he was getting ready to shoot him just because he had an issue with him over that. Well, that wasn't the only reason, but still it counted among the large number of them. Looking over to Taiyo, Legosi would nod towards him as well. "Good job Tai, Let's go on ahead while we let him do his job." With that, Legosi would keep the door open for a few more moments before turning and entering the darkened confines of the arena. The silence was as deafening as the darkness was encompassing, and Legosi still couldn't shake out the feeling of being watched. Still, even in the darkness he had been here on more than one occasion, and certainly enough to know where to go. Where they entered should be directly near the stairway leading to the manager's office, as the northern end was opposing to the actual entrance.

"You stay down here Tai, just in case anyone else comes we can still have an exit secured, I'll head up and get the goods." He would suggest to his captain, immediately making his way up the stairs. The two things he could feel right now unsettled him. Guilt and alarm go hand-in-hand in making mistakes, guilt from nearly killing another person on a whim, just because they're scum, and alarm from whatever is watching them. The wise choice would've been to stick together, but this was Legosi's plan and the best way he can secure that prize. Hopefully while he works whatever the hell he ate yesterday will kick in and help them out.

After climbing the stairs, he would sprint towards the door to the manager's office; a modified office where overseers would overlook factory workers, although the windows have been boarded up, and as Legosi entered the room after forcing open the door, the equipment would be gone as well. In its place was a bed, worn and used down to the point where an imprint of a fat mound was made within it, and multiple small lights that did little to illuminate the room as well. Other than that it was rather sparse, with a small locker, a broken dresser, and an open safe, sitting within was the prize money and something else that Legosi couldn't quite make out.

Immediately he would make his way to the safe. The coast was clear and it seemed his plot was now fully failed, although he was content with that. Right not he had to collect and make his way out, although when he pulled the object out his eyes opened in surprise and at the same time his face twisted into one of fury, for the object in his hand was none other than the devil fruit he was supposed to win, the pale shade of grey betraying a pear shape, and intricate waves that almost looked like a mix between a liquid and flame covering it as well. He didn't know anything about these fruits of legend, but from just holding it alone he felt a deep pit enter his stomach. This was the real dead.

Immediately Legosi took a bite out of the fruit, and the taste alone nearly made him gag, causing him to collapse. He took another after that, and then another. He wouldn't dare risk not obtaining whatever power came from this, but the more bites he took and the more he struggled with actually keeping it down. Through the sheer force of his determination he would keep it down to the last bite, where then he puked, the acids coming out of his mouth, but oddly enough no chunks of Devil Fruit. It was almost like he had never even consumed it in the first place. With his stomach still upset the deer mink would grab one of Goh's shirts littered on the floor, wiping his mouth before dropping it, picking up the full sack of beli, and walking out of the office.

Upon exiting, a light lit up brightly, shining directly in Legosi's eyes and blinding him temporarily. "There ya' are, looking more like a bitch than ever! Legosi and what seems to be a stupid kid that he talked to. What did he promise you? Head? Lemme tell ya, he isn't as good as he thinks he is, kiddo." Legosi's eyes adjusted, and he immediately looked over the railing, seeing both Razorblade and a patched up Bror standing before Taiyo. "Goh! Stop this! He's not apart of this!" He demanded of the short fat man standing within the ring itself, his own spotlight pointing directly at him, a serrated blade in his hand. "Oh yes he is, boy. Anyone that breaks into My arena is gonna have their body found in the water at dawn. I don't care if it's a kid that stumbled in here, I'll kill 'em! Get your ass down here so I can kill you too!" With that, in a fit of anger Goh would slam his microphone down, breaking the device into little pieces.

"Fine." He had reserved himself to this. This was definitely some sort of cosmic punishment for considering  killing Bermudo, he just knew it. He knew Goh would still be here, but not the previous two fighters. It was a surefire thing that he was more than likely going to get beaten to a pulp here, but he wasn't about to take it submissively. Goh used him, made him feel not only less than himself but also like he was but a piece of meat to be sold, and that was something he had sworn to get back at him for. Tonight would just have to be that night, he guessed. Moving on down the stairs, he would offer Taiyo a concerned glance before walking by the two fighters, climbing into the ring, where he already was feeling the heat of the spotlight on his tan fur.

He already knew he was going to have some trouble with Goh, for this man at one point in his life captained his own small crew. Goh the Pig, known for his intense greed and borderline sadistic means of obtaining whatever he wished. Even if it was something as small as a sandwich he wasn't about to get it before bashing someone's teeth in to do so. His title came from when he was shipwrecked, and to survive he had to eat his own men. When discovered they mistook him for a stranded pig, caked in the dried blood. Here the pig stood now, ready to claim another victim, while Legosi himself had to prepare to take out someone that once had a bounty in the millions.

"Kill the boy while I handle this thing." Goh told both of his men while he stared Legosi down, his hand tightening around his blade. The final round was about to begin, and it seemed it was going to be none other than Buck and the Pig as the closing act. '3.. 2.. 1..' Legosi's mind counted down, and as it hit zero, both Legosi and Goh charged at one another, beginning their own battle.

Taiyo

Taiyo
Taiyo made his way from the righthand side of the warehouse to the front where he'd left Bermudo and Legosi. his running pace quickly would turn into a slight walk as he came around the corner to see what the two had managed to accomplish. The first thing he would see was Bermudo, hovering over the motionless body of the guard they'd all seen once they arrived on the scene. Taiyo couldn't tell what he'd done to the man, but quickly assumed the worst. That Bermudo had gone against his wishes. That he'd intentionally ignored both Taiyo's stipulation and the command that Legosi had given just a few moments prior to them making their move. Taiyo stared in shock towards Bermudo, and then spoke his concerns.

"Did you-"

"Before you even ask,"

Taiyo's question was met with an early interruption from Bermudo, whose eyes met his along with an annoyed glance.

"he's not dead. Just unconscious....but it would be wise if we hid them in-case someone comes along."

Taiyo nodded, while simultaneously letting out a sigh of relief. He was glad that Bermudo hadn't ignored the request that he'd made. Taiyo's main intent behind participating in the events of tonight was simply to ensure that Legosi acquired what was promised to him, and deliver justice to someone whose actions needed to be addressed. The last thing he wanted his name or his ideals to be associated with was unneccessary murder. Just as Bermudo spoke, The front doors to the warehouse opened, Legosi entering up from them with another unconscious body in his hand. Another guard that he'd managed to take down on his own. Taiyo watched as Legosi threw the guard down onto the ground next to the two that Taiyo and Bermudo managed to take out. So far,Things were going according to plan. Taiyo looked over to Legosi, nodding to him in respect of his accomplishment.

"I'll hide them. I been doing this shit longer than both of you anyway. In the meantime, you two should go inside and see if the monkey left any surprises for us."

Taiyo was not hesitant to do as Bermudo suggested. He was eager to get along with the rest of the mission, and get Legosi his belongings. He listened as Legosi spoke in response to Bermudo's suggestions

"Good idea, Bermudo."

Taiyo raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, and looked over to Legosi in confusion.

'Did he just.... compliment him?!'

This came as the ultimate surprise to Taiyo, as he was under the impression that the two despised one another. What would make Legosi even think to give the lion man any kind of compliment? Taiyo took note of this, a smile appearing upon his face as he realized what was happening. The two seemed to be gradually setting aside their differences for the sake of the common goal of completing tonight's mission. Despite their grievances, they were openly listening to and accepting one another's ideas that furthered their chances for success. They were acting as a team, a prospect that made Taiyo even more excited for what the three could potentially do as a crew.

"Good job Tai, Let's go on ahead while we let him do his job."

Taiyo would follow suit directly behind Legosi as he reopened the front doors to the warehouse, holding it open as the two entered. They entered the main arena where the fighting tournament had taken place just a few nights before, which was currently pitch black, without a single sound. The only thing that Taiyo could make out was the outline of Legosi directly in front of him, following him as he lead through the dark and towards the bottom of a set of stairs.

"You stay down here Tai, just in case anyone else comes we can still have an exit secured, I'll head up and get the goods."

Taiyo would listen to the order that Legosi gave him, waiting on the ground level as Legosi headed up the staircase towards where he presumed his rewards would be located. This was good. They were close to being completely done, and there hadn't been a single hitch in the road since they started.
Through the dark, Taiyo walked forward, getting closer and closer towards the center of the room where the fighting ring itself was located. After a few minutes of standing and slightly wandering in the dark, Taiyo could hear the sound of a door upon the second floor opening. He looked up to see Legosi, leaving the room he'd walked up the stairs to enter. Just as he did so, he'd felt something bump into his chest, causing him to jump back a few meters just as a shining light came on overhead, aimed at Legosi.

"What the hell?"

"There ya' are, looking more like a bitch than ever! Legosi and what seems to be a stupid kid that he talked to. What did he promise you? Head? Lemme tell ya, he isn't as good as he thinks he is, kiddo."

Taiyo would look back in front of him to see what had bumped into him, and who was currently speaking. Standing only a few meters in front of him, just outside of the fighting ring were two familiar faces. Bror and Razorblade. The two other fighters who were in the ring with Legosi and Bermudo the night of the tournament. He observed each one of them intensely. Bror had the hand from which he'd lost his thumb wrapped in gauze, but was still fearsome in size and stature. Razorblade came about to the same height as Taiyo, and had a few scrapes and cuts left upon his face from his fight with Legosi. That, and gauze covering both of his forearms from when Legosi penetrated them with his antlers.  Right behind them was the person who'd spoken aloud, Goh. Standing within the middle of the fighting arena, was the announcer from the event who'd caused this whole mess in the first place. The man who'd cut short on the money and devil fruit prize he'd owed Legosi for winning the tournament. Taiyo didn't like him, nor his lack of care towards how his actions would affect other people.

"Goh! Stop this! He's not apart of this!"

"Oh yes he is, boy. Anyone that breaks into My arena is gonna have their body found in the water at dawn. I don't care if it's a kid that stumbled in here, I'll kill 'em! Get your ass down here so I can kill you too!"

Legosi would do nothing but reluctantly comply, walking down the staircase and dropping the bag of beli, before walking directly past Taiyo and into the ring with Goh.
Taiyo clenched his fists, and stared off angrily towards Goh. He wasn't going to stand there and allow him to continue disrespecting and threatening them. He looked towards him, ready to hit him with everything he had.

"I'll kick your a-"

Just as he tried to move forward, his movements would be rejected by Razorblade, who responded to Taiyo's attempt to move towards Goh by punching him directly in the chest. The hit caused Taiyo to gasp, sending him stumbling back a meter. He quickly caught his breath, and looked back directly towards Razorblade as both Razorblade and Bror chuckled at him. Razorblade spoke, staring at Taiyo with a smile upon his face.

"Where the hell do you think you're' going? You gotta get past me first!"

Taiyo knew what that meant. He was going to have to fight. He brought his right leg forward, and put up both his hands, making his fighting stance.

"Alright then. Let's Go!"

Bermudo
Though Bermudo was mildly pleased that his words weren't challenged and that neither of them condescendingly reminded him to not kill the guards, he was mostly surprised at Legosi's small praise, even if he could tell that it was rather forced than genuine. He would say nothing, however, and would just watch as Legosi directed Taiyo to follow him and let Bermudo play clean-up in peace. After watching the two of them vanish into the darkness of the warehouse while allowing the door to close on its own, the young lion would let out a tired exhale. Not life or death? Bah! As kind-hearted the boy seemed to be, he clearly doesn't comprehend the situation at hand, or that scum such as these tend to get revenge on those who show them "mercy".

Glancing at the three unconscious men before him, Bermudo would quickly scope out any sort of optimal hiding place. Luckily for him, the forest was thick and was hard to navigate even during day time, perhaps even being impossible if it weren't for paths as the one that lead the trio to the warehouse. So, taking one of the men by his arms, Bermudo began to pull him off the plain, lifeless dirt that surrounded the warehouse and brought him into the thicket about twenty feet away. He would do this two more times with the other bodies, silently dragging them into the foliage and aligning them next to each other. Without a single word Bermudo would from there take off his suit jacket, hanging it over a nearby low branch, before unbuttoning his dress shirt and doing the same. After that, he would take one of the men's shirts, more so ripping and tearing a large part off with his claws, before hanging it as well.

He would get onto one knee as his brought a hand to one of the guard's cheek, cupping it almost affectionately as he took in the man's features. This one was dark-skinned, bearing stubble on his chin while sporting a sort of small afro. He bore a single scar which stretched his upper-right cheek and down to his bottom lip while his nose seemed misshapen, possibly broken from drunken bar brawl. Placing one padded finger on it, Bermudo would run his finger down his scar, stopping at his lips for a moment before having his hand etch further down to the sleeping man's neck. He would keep it there for a moment, not moving a single inch as he took in the man's appearance before having his claws suddenly break through his skin and forcing his fingers in. Then, with all tranquility gone, Bermudo would press a hand over the man's mouth to keep from lifting him and to prevent him screaming as he violently ripped out his throat. Blood bathed his right hand and wrist, with some managing to get on his bare chest and abdomen.

From there he went on to the next guard. He was a rather pale, almost sickly looking man with short, blonde hair. His face reminded Bermudo of a skull, being fairly gaunt and and his cheeks being practically concave. Indeed, his entire body seemed just as skeletal, no doubt from starvation. He ran his wet, bloodied hand through the guard's hair, like a spouse would do to their lover in silent admiration, before having it slowly travel down to his cheek and then his neck as well. Bermudo, once again, repeated the same brutality as he did the first time and ripped out his throat.

The final guard wasn't a hairless ape like that other two. Oh no. Rather, he was a fishman, though what kind could be anyone's guess. He bore dark teal skin and bright orange hair, with the majority of it splayed out on the ground around his head. He had a rather large, round chin and small nose. His eyes were equally small though not necessarily beady. Bermudo, unlike with the others, didn't take as much time observing the unlucky thing, least the deer and Taiyo get suspicious over why he's taking so long. Thus, for the last time, Bermudo would stab his claws into the man's neck and tear it out, painting his right hand and some of his front in fresh, warm blood.

"Idiots." He mused to himself out loud as he stood, thinking about Legosi and Taiyo and their overall disposition towards his killing streak. Where they saw unneeded violence and death, Bermudo only saw efficiency. Did neither of them know the lengths of what downtrodden scum such as these men would go threw to get revenge? Mercy, bah! These rats would wait for the moment you'd turn your back before shoving a knife in it. Mercy meant nothing to them. Because of that, Bermudo simply acted accordingly. It was more practical to "tie up" loose ends, least they want those very same ends to come back and bite them in the ass.

Walking to the low hanging branch Bermudo would grab the piece of torn clothing first and began to dry himself off, rubbing it against his front before specifically focusing on scrubbing his bloody hand with it. The cloth soon turned dark red and moist with blood, prompting the lion to toss it onto one of the corpses, having just about the same amount of use as they did. From there he would grab his clothing next and quickly put them on, buttoning up his shirt before sliding on his suit jacket and quickly walking back to the warehouse. Luckily for him, the foliage was thick and high enough to easily conceal his murder. Heading towards the warehouse door, however, something caught the lion's eye. Upon the ground right in-front of the door was a rifle, no doubt one of the guard's. "Huh." Was his only response as he picked up and checked the cartridge. Fully loaded magazine. Holding the weapon in his hands, he felt a tad bit grateful toward's Legosi's plan. Though not exactly the most practical thing, it did give Bermudo a fully loaded rifle.

Deciding to keep it for a little while, Bermudo would turn the handle to the door and open it, heading inside the darkness that infested the warehouse. Though it was very hard to see, its layout wasn't exactly complex and he no doubt that he was making his way to the main room that housed the arena. Rifle in hand, he trudged quietly through the dark building until there was suddenly light. Originating in the arena room, Bermudo quickly saw Taiyo ahead and.... Bror?

The lion's eyes widened as he slowed down, stopping next to Taiyo as he store at the two obstacles before them. Razorblade and Bror, and behind them was Goh, who was monologuing to Legosi. Though he missed most of what the greasy little fuck said, Bermudo quickly put two and two together and knew that a fight as about to begin. "That little deer better have my money..." Was his only thought as his eyes met with Bror's single one, the other wrapped in bandages from Bermudo's assault a few nights prior. Along with that, how thumbless hand was also wrapped up along with his scarred stomach. Interestingly, despite looking like an obese mummy, Bror didn't look any less intimidating.

Out of no where would Razorblade and Taiyo begin fighting, drawing his attention for a split second before he felt a familiar, giant fist smashing against his turned head and knocking him back. Dazed for a second, Bermudo would violently shake his head and came to just in time to see Bror raising both of his arms high into the air with the intent of crushing Bermudo. Though not as brutishly strong as the fat ape, he was definitely faster. He would quickly roll to left, avoiding Bror's fat fists as they cracked the stone floor, before getting up and running past him into the main room as Legosi and Goh began their own bout. Now with some actual space, Bermudo turned around and took aim as Bror charged him with an enraged bellow, his very feet seemingly causing light tremors.
