Airspace Above Baltigo's Nil District

Hovering above the clouds, Jackal sat in his room going over the plans for the final heist which was raiding Mother's 'Debutante' Ball. Knocking on the Captain's Quarters, one of the ship's staff alerted Jackal that Sinbad had received communications to pick up Justice from the Nil District. It wasn't a strange rendezvous point really, collecting him from the Ninth could've proved problematic if indeed he'd received the Warlord Status and even more so, any notion of them being tied together. "Estimated time until he'll get to the District?" Jackal inquired. "About twenty-minutes boss." the grunt retorted, shutting the Captain's door after delivering the message.

"Get Spook and Gilbard to the mess-hall... Wait... Gilbard's busy with his experiments... Interrupting him now might not be the best idea. Wake Spook up. Hopefully he didn't have too much fun with those women from the Second District." Jackal stated grinning. Springing up from his bed, still sore from the training with Ursa, the Bandit King shuffled towards his Calico Scarf, his Gauntlets, and goggles, organising his outfit to meet up with his crewmates. He'd look more intimidating than usual as his eyes were bloodshot from staying up all night, memorising information about Mother's personnel that he'd received by intercepting her communications using his two Type B Den Den's, compliments of the spoils of war.

SPOOK.

"In West Baltigo born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool. And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good. Started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared: and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in the air above Baltigo!""

Spook took a shower, unaware that his presence was requested. This was the morning after a particularly long night operation. Which had ended in a vague void for Spook.

The bathroom is equipped with an old-fashioned faucet, but it did its job nonetheless. The way Spook showered is quite odd; his method was also known as the 'navy shower' -- hot water, turn off the tap, soap himself up, water again. Hard times had hit the ship, from what Spook could perceive. It wasn't like him to make grand use of available resources. Discipline has led his life for the majority. Certain roots couldn't be slashed away, and as a result--he took showers in this odd manner. After being done with the shower, Spook put on a simple white shirt, buttoned all the way up to support the elegant bow tie he wore. Over his shirt a chic vest with seven buttons, the bottom one untied. His pants matched the style of his vest and shirt, complimenting his shoes; a pair of shortwing bluchers.

A discovery was made once the lord of his bedroom had returned to his room of operations. The security guard had become a toy once more--probably happened last night. On his pillow Spook found a letter requesting his presence. Spook made his way to the captains room and entered--it wasn't like him to knock before entering, since he was summoned he made the assumption that he was expected. Spook made sure to take the toy with him.

Judging from the captains look, perhaps it'd cheer him up?

Since Spook was essentially made from grandeur, a regular entrance wasn't in his MO.

Once he stepped into the room, he threw the toy he had towards his captain. With great strength, as this was the kind of relationship he wanted to establish with his captain; centered around banter, more specifically small bouts.

I got you a present for our date.

After the throw, Spook made it known that he was dressed sharply by striking a pose. The toy was dressed like an old timey wimey police officer. During the creation of the toy, that was the only thing Spook could think of when he imagined a costume. The toy was capable of movement, and will listen to the commands given. The toy could talk and respond to questions.

His name is Kadrynir, The Brave - Kadrynir, I want you to listen and obey to Kaito's commands moving forwards.

The toy gave an agreeing nod.

This is the first toy I've created, he's special in his own way; he's not just any ordinary human, he's a security guard--or well, former security guard, of the ball we will be attending. You could ask him all the questions you have about the layout of the building.

Spook went to the nearest bar in the room, if there was any, and then made a white russian before finding the closest seat.

I presume you requested my presence for a reason. Did something bad happen? Did I miss the captain doing tokes?

Throughout his speech, Spook fluctuated from a serious tone to a non serious one.

After turning in the bounty Lucas made his way over to an alleyway very quickly. He wasn't too sure if he was being followed so it was best to use special travel means. Lucas made his way through the Ninth district through means of his devil fruit. One would only see his fruit as a means of combat. Lucas figured out that all of his items on hand would assimilate with him into the ground. By doing this he is able to travel through all matters of stone undetected. As long as he didn't surface. He knew his way around Baltigo, he traveled in the direction of the neighboring district. Only popping his face out the sides of buildings made of stone to make sure he was going the right way.

It wasn't long before he moved through the ground into the Nil district. A district made mainly of slums where the unfortunate existed would be a great place to meet up. As he made his way into the district he climbed up the side of an abandoned building where he emerged from the stone roof. With an airship, this was the best way to be picked up by the crew. Lucas made sure the beli he got from the bounty was still there and not lost in the ground. He gripped the bag that was slung over his right shoulder tightly. He then reached into his left pocket with his free hand, revealing the type 2 den den mushi given to him by one of his crewmates.

“Justice to the ship, I repeat Justice to the ship, I am in the Nil district not that far from the exit of Ninth district. You can locate me on an abandoned building near the entrance of the Nil district. Over.”

Before Jackal could've even exit his room towards the mess-hall, Spook had arrived in record time at the Captain's quarters. At the entrance of his doorway, Spook's usual charming personality exuded, as he'd toss a toy towards the Captain's direction. Perceiving no ill-will, Jackal would've grabbed the toy seconds before it'd made impact towards his face. The interception came with a slight head nod at the force to which it was tossed, "Nice arm." Jackal stated, inspecting the newest gift in hand. A toy? Even more so, Jackal stared at the item oddly for a few seconds, "Thanks I guess?" Jackal inquired puzzled before Spook added context to his statement. Seemingly at the mysterious magician's commands, the toy suddenly nodded it's head in approval."Oi. Did that... Did his... Did it's head just move?" Jackal inquired shocked, almost tossing the figurine away as if it was hexed or cursed in some kind of manner.

Dressed in it's black and silver attire, Jackal inspected the doll further in attempt to find strings but as Spook continued on explaining the origins of the doll, he'd figure this was a weird skill of his being put to use. "Wait Wait... You can make people into toys? And get them to obey your orders? How did you even come upon a skill like that? Witchcraft?" Jackal inquired, with the country-bumpkin like expression most country folks would've had towards city personages. Still staring at the bar puzzled, Jackal watched as Spook shimmed over towards the personal bar inside of his room. It's wan't anything as staffed or in size as a regular bar setup, but it was enough for Jackal to enjoy the occasional drink. Of course, the hard stuff was lined on the shelves but the really true good stuff was kept chilled in barrels of ice behind the bar, good ol' 100% Milk. As he'd trail behind, Jackal would rest the doll on the countertop, reach into the barrel for a bottle of milk, and hop atop the bar counter, sipping the milk gingerly.

"Anything I want to know about the building huh?"
Jackal inquired, searching his memory log for plausible questions.

"Where's it located?" Jackal continued on.

"Old Chateau - Luxure. It's in the heart of the Second District. Uptown. We're all em' fancy likes socialise." the toy action figure explained.

Whistling, "Even it's movements are detailed... How are you pulling the strings on this one?" Jackal stated inquisitively, genuinely lost at the spectacle.

"How do I know that's the right place? From my reports... Mother holds several events at multiple locations to throw people off." Jackal stated.

"Yes but the Luxure has the best facilities for the orgies to be had." the toy explained. "Mother puts the pleasure of her clients over anything else... It's the Luxure. For sure." the toy continued.

His curiosity peaked, Jackal rushed for his sketchbook which he'd use to layout his future plots and points to remember. The Mink would've almost forgotten anything about the meeting at hand, firing off questions to the toy in almost seconds.

"How many entrances?"
Jackal inquired.

"Three. The Main Hall... The Recreational Room and The VIP Entrance."
Kad stated.

"How many personnel on hand to guard this whole place?"
Jackal continued on.

"All of Mother's Pieces will be present. Including the King and Queen. As well as Six of her Brokers, the Pawns. The security is being handled by the King's personal court. Around 500 Pawn level pieces guarding the compound."
the toy continued to explain.

Jackal would've continue to fire off several questions about time of day, vantage points, the skills of the guards, and even the kind of weapons they would've been equipped with but the questioning was interrupted by Sinbad stating that a transmission from Lucas had came in. Picking up the intercom in the room, the order to fish the man out of the Nil District was given, he'd most likely come through the rope ladder on the bottom floor of the vessel, by the docking port. Placing his new found buddy on his shoulder, Kadrynir, or Kad or short and finishing off the bottle of Milk for another, he'd motion to Spook, "Grab your drink. We're going to meet up with Lucas and see how his mission went." Jackal stated grinning. "What I have to tell you involves him as well so perfect timing!" Jackal exclaimed, storming off happily with his newest addition to the family on his shoulder.

Spooks toys were humans, capable of independent thought -- but still tied to their fate as being Spooks servant. They were quite versatile.

God touched me in the back of the bus when I was like 5 years old, ever since then... I turn humans into toys by making physical contact, I can make them obey any rule I have for them. And I can also make the people who knew the human forget their memories of the human. So they wouldn't even look for them, he-he-he-he.

Having downed his white russian, Spook replied to the next question that the boss had given him.

Well, I suppose they're sentient. They have to obey to my desires. Or the desires of whomever I give permission to give the toys orders.

A round of interrogation began to unravel, Spook already had answers to these questions, and let the captain ask whatever was on his mind. The intercom started to buzz, it seems whatever task Justice had, was completed.

Sure thing.

Spook in one smooth movement moved to the bar, and quickly mixed vodka, kahlua and heavy cream until he had another white russian in his hands. And then followed his captain to wherever Justice would appear from. There was information to be shared, Spook got curious. The idea that the captain was using his toy as a parrot slightly amused Spook. They needed more toys, for the battles to come. Spook needed more power as well, but all will be ready in due time.

Sinbad's voice came through the den den mushi confirming the ship was on the way. It shouldn't be long considering Lucas could see the ship off in the distance heading in the direction of his position. All he had to do was wait patiently for the ship be overhead and the ship drops the ladder. It was about ten minutes before the wind from the large propellers caused the dust on the building to blow away. Lucas placed the Shotgun on his back between his suspenders. He needed to have a free hand to hold onto the ladder so he could be pulled up into the bowels of the ship. The ladder dropped down and he climbed on. Looking up he gave a nod for the grunts to begin pulling him up into the ship. Took about two people to turn the pulley wench due to Lucas's stature. The ship pulled off as he was pulled into the hull of the ship. He tossed the bag onto the ship as he got closer and used his now freed hand along with his other to pull himself in.

“Afternoon Gents, guessing the crew is waiting upstairs?”

“Aye everyone is expecting you.”

Lucas said nothing and threw the large sack over his right shoulder again. He made his way through the ship to where Jackal and Spook were waiting. It was a room where crew members congregated. This was a room was separate from the others, it was for the main crew members and not the worker bees. He saw that Jackal and Spook were speaking. The captain had a toy in his hand that he seemed to be invested in. 'Do I even want to know?' Lucas thought to himself placing the bag on the table in the middle of the room. He went back to close the door for some level of privacy from prying eyes. “So I can say without a doubt the mission was a success, as for the Warlord position, not even gonna bother going back to check in. The marines took the bait but no doubt I am going to be watched closely now.” Lucas explained while opening the bag. A bit of beli spilled out of the bag onto the table from Lucas opening it. “I spent my cut on these bad boys, the blacksmith made em for me on the spot.” Lucas pulled out a pistol and the shotgun from his suspenders in the back. He wanted the two to admire the craftsmanship of the weapons before putting them away. “The majority of the bounty is yours Jackal. Granted its not as much as we would have liked due to Basil being dead but gotta take your wins where ya can get em.”

Transfer Successful :

As Jackal and Spook arrived to the mess-hall's private room for executives, Lucas had arrived about a minute or so after their arrival, Jackal was still intrigued by the toy that now followed him around, and also by the fact it could pretty much walk on its own made it convenient to say the least.

"Shishishi... Is it just going to follow me around like this all the time, Spook?" Jackal inquired.

Spilling the riches onto the table, Lucas began to gave a mission report on how the exchange with the marines went down. Examining his newest pieces of 'silverware', the Mink couldn't help but a little glimmer in his eye. Even from his position he could've tell that they we're crafted by capable hands, and it'd be a useful asset to have for future raids and trouble that the crew just seemed to attract.

Shooting Lucas a thumbs up, "I should get some firepower for the crew too... The others aside from the main roster aren't anything more than grunts... but with the right equipment, they could be ten times more useful." Jackal stated, just spit baling after seeing his nakama's latest purchase.

"Turning Bazil in alive would've been even more of a hassle. We're just making the best of the opportunity that fell in our lap, nice work Justice." Jackal stated smirking in response to the significantly reduced amount on the bounty, as he'd open the bag on the table to reveal the spoils of war.

Shouting for a few grunts who guarded the door in case of any emergency, the two grunts ushered into the room. "Go get me some crocus bags." Jackal commanded. After waiting a few, the Mink finally received the bags, tossing a few stacks at the grunts and dismissing them from the room. Next, he'd divide up the spoils and toss a portion of the earnings towards Spook's direction.

"Spook. This is your cut. I had planned to split the earnings among the crew anyway. Gilbard isn't really interested in these kinds of things, so he said you could have his cut too. The Ball is approaching, whether's weapons, skills or mental preparation, use these funds to get your business in order." Jackal concluded.

"Now." Jackal said, plopping into the chair at the helm of the operation table. "The issue I wanted to talk to you about is this. Today, I've received communications from the Type B Den Den's we've stolen from the warehouse. I couldn't decode all of the message but the majority read like this:

Communications wrote:
Black Card out for Bandit King and his associates. Accepted by Wild King Takashi.

The Captain slid several copies of the message along the table, one to Lucas and one to Spook of the simple message.

"I don't know if you've been on Baltigo long enough. However, Black Cards are the equivalent to a mafia putting a hit out on a person or crew."
Jackal explained, as well as the other cards in the system and the various meaning of their colours. (Information on the 'Card' System found here )

"And it since it's Mother's communications we've zeroed in on. The person whose coming for us on her behalf is another pain in the ass. From what I've managed to gather, the Mink known as the 'Wild King' - Takashi, has a bounty even higher than my own and has been kicking up trouble in Ursa's territory... one of the Nine Kingpins and has even managed to take away one of his bases." Jackal explained.

Pausing for a moment to kick feet up on top of the table, "If Takashi wants my head, he'll have to work for it. However, I'm not one to sit in wait. My suggestion, is we hit him where it hurts. His biggest asset seems to be his army. Along with our raids on the base, we'll begin to reduce his forces, and defeat him to send a message to not only Mother but the other Mafia's as well." Jackal stated smirking.

Little did Jackal know, that the person who issued this card wasn't Mother nor any of the Nine Kingpins but his own Mother, the Warlord Diana. However, that information, would be another revelation for another time.

SPOOK.

While following his captain to wherever they headed, Spook noticed the captains interest in his toys increase by the minute.

Yes, if you don't want him to, tell him to stop following you. Also, we could order kebab tonight, using the toy as a delivery boy.

Spook smacked his lips at the thought. The start of his great empire began with this toy, never again will he do a menial task.

Speaking of the main roster--

While mid speech, Spook got interrupted by Lucas, unaware of what he was doing, he carried a large bag. It was heavy, Spook could tell from how full the bag was. Lucas's queue for entering was Spooks queue to signal Kad, making it obvious that he wanted something from him.

Oi, Kad, get my man a cold beer, and something to eat. I'll have another white russian, and get captain a glass of milk. After you come back with those things, I want to hear music, let's have some Beethoven up in this bitch, 7th symphony-2nd movement of course.

By placing his hand on the head of the toy, he expanded him slightly in size--making the "menial" tasks he was given easier. Kad gave an approving nod, and went off to get all of those things, asking other grunts on the ships for directions to certain items as he did so--though sadly he couldn't comply with his request for a musical piece.

Something big had happened, was Lucas offered a warlord position? The shine of the revealed beli reflected in Spooks eyes. He stepped closer to the bag, to inspect the contents, while Lucas explained what his cut got him. [1] Spook acknowledged his new weapons. A pistol and a shotty - impressive. What did he do to get all of that beli though? What Lucas said next explained the question Spook had. He begun stroking his chin a little, and looking a little more at the beli, while the two men held a talk about the unfortunate runt who resulted in all of this money. This was effectively enough money to be permanently retire with--ironically, someone was retired permanently in return. Spook himself had acquired decent armor, it was quite durable.

Jackal spoke of getting firepower for his crew--this was most likely for the ball. Was his plan to draw the ship into battle? It could be possible, since this thing flied. But it didn't seem that practical--if the ship got hit or something, it'd cause everyone to have to evacuate. They'd be fish in a barrel. An open target for Mother and her ragaband to take aim and fire at the panicking men who are soaring through the sky, from a ship assblasted to bits. As it turned out, Spook was given a share of this, he couldn't help but smile.

Thank you for the resources, Captain.

Spoken with a million dollar smile, a single tear he shed.

He didn't exactly have a frame of reference for how tough the enemies in the ball were going to be. Front-line fighting wasn't Spook honed himself in, but if push came to shove that's where he'd be at the end anyway. While Jackal got settled on his chair, his toy Kad returned with the items in question all neatly placed on a tray that he passed around. Upon receiving his third glass of white Russian for today, Spook downed whatever was left of the second one and gave the glass to the toy. Spook listened carefully to what Jackal said next, seemingly a referee had given the crew a black card? It only raised more questions than they answered. Immediately after passing the 'black-cards' around, Jackal explained what they meant. The mob had put a hit on them, which pretty much aligned up with the ball soon--no surprises were had, really. This just meant that they were committed more than before, no going back now kind of deal. There is another player, another Mink called Wild King, the rest of what Jackal said was pretty much gibberish, save for the fact that his bounty topped his own.

How high is your bounty anyway?

Spook scratched his nose and immediately fired off his next questions

Can't we pit this Wild King against Mother, two birds with one stone? Or do you suppose that Wild King is employed by Mother?

After taking a sip of his drink, another question came to mind.

Either way, this ball sure is gonna be one hell of a hassle, anything I should specifically focus on prior to the ball? Like a skill.

Lucas noticed the toy was moving around on its own. 'This must be Spooks power, poor bastard. I wonder who pissed him off enough to end up in this fate.' He thought as Jackal gave him the thumbs up. He placed the weapons on the table next to the bag of beli slumped over on the table. The contents leaking out showing the large sum of Jackals cut. Lucas nodded at the captain's praise of turning in Bazil's body. 'It would have been nice to get the full pay still.' Lucas thought to pull up a chair. He plopped down in the chair and proceed to lean backward. Jackal was nice enough to give Spook a cut of the beli which set a good precedent for the captain. It showed he wasn't greedy and always willing to spread his wealth with the crew. That was enough to make him smile. The ball was indeed approaching faster than anyone would have liked so they had to be ready in return.

Jackal sat at the helm portion of the table, Lucas was leaning back in his own Spook proceeded to take his cut of the beli. While doing so he ordered the toy to grab Lucas and Jackal a drink. While he was doing so, also ordered to grab some food. Lucas didn't mind the idea of a tiny servant, the thing was the servant stopped being so tiny. Spook was also able to increase and decrease the size of the toys on a whim. His power was something that should be respected, as to not end up like the poor sap playing Butler at the moment.

Lucas looked at the copy of the pirated broadcast given by the type B den den mushi. It was something about a black card for Jackal and his crew. The more pressing issue was that the order was received by Wild King Takashi. Jackal quickly explained what a Black Card was, a mafia hit on selected individuals. The thing that Lucas was stuck on was Wild King Takashi.

“Wild King Takashi? That is certainly a nasty individual with a rather high bounty to boot.” Lucas only heard stories of the individual in question. Ones that sounded more like an old legend than anything. “Fortunately for us, they still haven't figured out who Jackal's associates are. So we still have a level of surprise on our side. Problem is the guy is no pushover,” Lucas explained.

After speaking, Lucas listened to what the captain had to say and processed all of it. The rumors certainly held some level of truth, Lucas wondered why the Wild King would take a hit on Mother's behalf. It certainly didn't make sense unless there was something they didn't know.  Then Jackal started singing a tune that Lucas was familiar with. There was no point in waiting for him to come after them, it was better to use the element of surprise and attack first. This only added to the problems the Calico pirates had going for them at the moment. First mother and now this, things were certainly getting interesting.

Spook offered up an thought about putting the Wild King and Mother against each other. Lucas was a bit on the doubtful side of this idea. It would be rather hard to place them against each other if the guy took a hit out on Jackal for her. “Don't think the turning of one against the other would work Spook. Why would he have a reason to turn against her if she gave him the hit on us?” Lucas asked. Spook was certainly right about one thing, the ball was going to be problematic one way or another. There was no denying that information.

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

"Last time I checked, 280,000,000 Million." Jackal stated, shooting the toy maker a 'V' hand gesture.

As the toy returned to the room, delivering Jackal a glass of milk, the Mink sipped the milk slowly, to make sure it wasn't spiked, as that's how Spook got him drunk the last time. Jackal contemplated Spook's suggestion about turning the two against each other, and Lucas quickly chimed in also with his concerns about that method.

"I was quick to jump the gun in the way I worded that sentence. If you look at the transmission clearly, it only proves two things. 1. Mother knows about Wild King Takashi coming after us. 2. I've been issued a Black Card for my head. However, the way the message was worded, it didn't seem like it had any direct implications to her. For all we know, they could be allies. The message is too ambiguous to assume so. It's just a hypothesis knowing everything that has happened this far. In theory, it'd make sense for it to be Mother who put the hit out." Jackal stated, going to clarify his stance on the situation.

Circling back around to Spook's question, "As for skills you should work on... Hmm... Nothing in particular. My original plan for Mother, especially now that I know the layout of the building was simple. Our men secure the exits, we enter through the front, concentrate our forces in one main group, make it to Mother's position and kill her. However, subduing her might prove to be more useful. Gilbard already knows this... but I was weary telling you guys this since your newer members. However, our life's going to be on the line and I trust you lot now." Jackal explained.

"If I could keep Mother alive... It'd be advantageous. Especially since I'm planning to unify Baltigo as one Nation. The Kingpin system is perfect for managing each district but to get the nine of them to sign on to my plan would've been a hassle. That's why I opted to take Mother's seat. Truthfully, she just happened to be the first Kingpin who I interacted with but it could've been any of the other Nine." Jackal continued.

"For my plan to progress, I need a cut of Baltigo's pie. Then, I have to prove I can increase business by at least 200% of current sales. It'll prove my ability in managing an economy at a microlevel but proof nonetheless. After which, I'll propose a scenario which will allow me to become 'King'. Once I rise to that position, it'd need someone to run the Ninth, and Mother would be the optimal option once I enforce a few rules on her.

The long short of it is... If I could somehow 'erase' her momentarily. That'd be ideal but I doubt her 'Pieces' would just let me do that."
Jackal stated.

"And if your wondering if my reason for wanting Baltigo as a whole is out of some power hungry conquest... My answer is 'no'. It's just a smaller piece in my long term plan. What I'm looking for requires a Nation's Worth of Willpower to locate. If we make it out of the Ball, I'll tell you lot what that is. Even Gilbard doesn't know." Jackal concluded.

Finishing his milk, "Sorry to change the festive mood to such serious discussions. I tend to think too far ahead, none of this matters if we can't pull off the mission at the Ball. Lucas. Your ability will be necessary for quick escapes and crowd control. Spook. I know you prefer to work from the shadows so I might need you to handle eliminating the rest of her security. From the transmissions, I've managed to get a list of all of those attending. It's the whose who of Nobles, Brokers and even Royal Families who've pumped funds into the Second District. They're truly who we need to win over... If we can get their support. Then, killing Mother won't even be necessary." Jackal concluded.

SPOOK.

Whatever spit he had in his mouth was gathered and swallowed, upon hearing the bounty of his captain. That was enough to lead a long and meaningful life, bring philanthropy to the poor -- but alas, Spook wasn't interested in such. By bagging up the cut that Spook was to receive, his attention was once more available. The three men seemed to agree that the hit came from Mother. Spook began thinking of other strategies that could be applied while Jackal explained his own strategy. During Jackals explanation, Spook got his drink and ordered Kad to stay at his side for a bit.

I see, I have the ability to 'erase' people.

He'd cut off his captain, and decide to share one more detail of his abilities, since they will be relevant to this strategy. His abilities allowed him to wipe the memories of everyone that inhibited memories of that person. Meaning if he should return someone human, and then toy again, people will forget the toy as well -- since they inhibited memories of that person as a toy. The details of these were witchcraft, they made no sense, but in it's own vacuum it did.

I shall demonstrate this ability to you. Do your best remembering where your drink came from.

Spook rested his hand on the head of the toy, after establishing firm eye contact with both Lucas and Jackal -- the most intense eye-contact he's given to this date; the toy returned into human shape--and almost within the same instant, back into a toy. With Spook saying CONTRACT; he referred to the basic contract he's set up a while ago.

Contract.

While forming the man into a toy again, sapping the memories that people had of the toy(other than himself of course), and reestablishing eye contact.

Well. Where did your drink come from?

Spook looked through the room. [1] Wondering what the reactions were going to be, he curiously studied whatever Jackal and Lucas had to say. Spook leaned back a little, crossing one leg over the other.

About the strategy; I think that plan is solid, and should work. One thing I want to bring up though, on the night of the ball - could we attack Wild Kings assets? Make him divert half his troops to the diversion.

His fingers were used as a comb, gently rustling against his beard while he explained an idea he just came up with.

The toy brought in the drinks and food requested by Spook. Lucas started with the can of beer brought to him. He popped the top with the metal tab. “Cheers,” Lucas spoke while raising the can. Popping the top suddenly caused the foam to fizz outward which in return he quickly drank from it to make sure to not waste a drop. He listened to the Captain's words and had no objections. Lucas agreed with a lot of what he had to say due to having the same idea. There was a lot of assuming but not a lot of concrete evidence. In return that just created more questions than answers. Then the Captain went on to answer Spook's next question about training. It was a question Lucas had himself, granted he had some idea of what he needed to do. Lucas placed the half-empty can on the table and went to town on the food brought to him. It was a steakhouse burger with all of the bells and whistles on it.

As he bit into the burger Spook spit out the drink he sipped from at the moment of hearing about Wild King's bounty. Lucas moved his hand nonchalantly to make sure none of the spit floated near his food.  Lucas wasn't too surprised by the number spoken, not that he was a bit worried. He did not like to show any expressions of fear on his face. Then again he was fully aware of possibly fighting people way above his own parade rolling with a crew like this. It left room for exponential growth, a real sink or swim situation.

Then Jackal said something very dangerous, after all of this he wanted to keep Mother alive. He stopped chewing for a moment and looked sideways at the captain for a moment. Keeping someone like that alive would prove problematic in the long run. Before Lucas could interject Spook spoke up about his ability. Then Lucas looked at his food and drink for a moment making sure to remember that it was the toy that brought them. Then the toy became a man in an instant which changed the tone in the room. Considering the guy was a bit puzzled himself. This was the reality of Spook's powers kicking in. How quickly he could manipulate someone at the utter of some words and a touch. With just as quickly as the man was there he was a toy again. This time something felt off. Lucas looked down at the table trying to remember where the food and drink came from. 'Did I grab this?' He thought to himself for a moment before looking back at Spook and Jackal. He would be lying if he said he wasn't a bit worried about all of this. Thankfully Spook was on their side, “I am not sure actually. That is some spooky shit no doubt.” Lucas replied calmly. He continued to eat and drink while the cogs in his head spun. Jackal continued speaking about the matter at hand.

Lucas still trying to gather himself after losing some time in his memory wondering how deeply this affected him he fired off the initial thought in his head about keeping Mother alive. “What makes you think your laws would actually be followed. Personally, I think we should take the eye for an eye route. Remove her from power and take her seat at the table. No point in keeping someone who is ruthless like that alive. Who is to say she wouldn't turn on us the moment she got even a little bit of freedom.”

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

As Jackal hypothetically mentioned his need for the skill to erase Mother, Spook chimed in, explaining to focus on the information specifically the toy bringing them their drinks. As random as it was, Jackal humoured the man, not expecting him to needlessly tell the them to do so. Spook was exactly the type that seemed keen on small talk. In an instant the man flicked in between stages of being a toy and being a normal human being.

It'd be at this moment that Jackal would peer at his glass, his memory seeming fuzzy, and once the knowledge of the toy had returned, he'd spit out his milk. "Woah." Jackal exclaimed, spitting out the milk from his mouth onto the table. Mix-emotions. That was a dangerous ability that Spook had his hands on, Jackal knew they'd have to be some trick to it, or some newly acquired skill, since this was the first time that Spook had mentioned this trait to his ability.

Puzzle, Jackal would leave the deep diving for another time, for now, he'd listen, letting Spook explain the premise of how exactly memories left, and cross-referencing what he'd learn early about the contract, and the rules his toys must follow. "Ah so the toys are made from humans." Jackal thought to himself. "I understand why you wouldn't mention this ability to us Spook. It's certainly frightening but I'm afraid against Kenbunshoku Haki users... You'll have a hard time making 'contact'." Jackal explained. At that moment, Lucas would've also interjected with a solid point, keeping Mother alive was also another risk that he'd have to take on. The chances of the woman sitting idly by and allowing Jackal to use her as a pawn in his own game, seemed immensely slim. Tapping his index finger against the table as a mechanism to ponder, Jackal ran the pro's and cons inside of his head.

"Hold on Justice. With Spook's ability keeping her alive might not be as hard as we think. If we can erase all memories of her from the Second District, it'd literally become a lawless state in seconds. With all the major players in Second District, they'll have assets invested that they themselves don't know why it's invested, and no figurehead to guide them." Jackal theorised. "Either way. I'll keep the option on the table of killing her opened. If it proves too complicated, at anytime, any of us must go for the kill." Jackal stated. "I've plotted for scenarios where she'd dies. I've already planted seeds for that by sending the freed slaves back to their trade but under my protection as their 'Big Brother'." Jackal stated.

After which, he'd have the toy deliver his share of the cut from Lucas's turn-in to his personal chambers.

Spook

SPOOK.

After all the items on Kads list were delivered to the rightful recipients; Spook performed his magic trick. It was a weird ability, he hadn't quite discovered all the nooks and crannies just yet. The reason why he did this magic trick was to let his crew know that there might be gaps in their memories moving forwards. While scratching his beard a moment, Jackal seemed to point out that Kenbenshoku Haki users couldn't be touched as easily--which made him wonder, what is Kenben?

What is Kenben Haki?

The man asked, eyeing his captain with his head slightly tilted.

Before you explain--there's a danger that comes with the memory wipe, let's say I turn Mother into a toy, our enemies would instantly forget why they fight. That'd work perfectly, right? Wrong. You guys will forget as well

Death awaits for the slightest lapse in concentration

Spook coughed into his arm, and continued to listen to his captain, with Lucas interjecting due to his conflicting philosophy of the situation, before continuing to verbalize the train of thought that spiraled within.

But once, off the battlefield, I could attempt turning her into a toy--make everyone forget. Is she worth any bounty? The same goes with Wild King. I'm not sure if I can turn them into toys, I should warn. There seems to be a strong link to my abilities and the abilities of my opponent regarding that. Namely, their spirit.

After pushing his chair away from himself, Spook moved in a non aggressive way towards his captain. He'd raise his hand, suggesting that they'd do a high-five, and during the high-five, Spook made it a point to use his toy fruit. He was quite sure he couldn't turn the captain into a toy anyway.

See? Nothing.

Spook returned to his seat, wondering if his captain even felt something at all -- though that did rely on whether or not the captain high-fived him.

Buuut...

He eyed his comrade Lucas.

Haha, let's not find out whether or not I can turn you into a toy.

A loud chuckle escaped his lips shortly after his conjunction. Teasing Lucas in this manner was pretty funny, but he imagined that he was going to get teased back by Lucas in his own fashion sometime later. Hopefully through a form of banter.

Even though Lucas forgot where his meal came from it didn't really stop him from finishing the rest of it. He moved out of the way of Jackal spitting his milk out onto the previously cleaned table. He made sure to move his food so milk didn't get on it. After quickly scarfing down the remainder of the burger he took to the beer while Jackal spoke on the matter at hand. Lucas took into account the possibility of turning her into a toy. No matter how one looked at it, it was a gamble keeping her alive. Not that Lucas was kill crazy, he was not wanting to take unnecessary risks. If she could be taken out it would be better to do so right away. Then something else grabbed his attention right away. The mention of Haki was something that had always been interested in. Being a scientist Haki always seemed whimsical in nature, almost magical. Being a scientist he founded a lot of his thought in logic. Haki was a wild card that always proved to be problematic for devil fruit users. He did not use Haki himself but he wanted to learn it. After Spook's little comment about death, Lucas spoke up.

“The problem with Memory wiping is that yes they would forget Mother's legacy. That would only destabilize the mafia. Sure we want that a bit but we want to take control of an organized group. Chaos brings destruction. We would be better off making an example out of her. Strength is something organized crime groups would always respect.”

Lucas took another drink of his beer and let Spook continuing to explain the extent of his power. He touched the captain to show the difference in power is a factor. Therein lie the limitation of his power. Having a difference in willpower could prove to be problematic. Spook looked over at Lucas and had a look in his eye. Lucas had a blank look on his face, “Let's not find out if you could turn me into a toy ya?”

The meeting was coming to a close but as the captain stepped out the room Lucas stood up. “How about teaching us how to use Haki? I have always been interested in it just never met anyone who brought it up.”
