The Calico Pirates were gearing up for their assault. They were in the need for some beli to grease their wheels. Gilbard had heard of one of the districts specialising in medicine so he decided to see if he could offload some of his produce. They were useful tools, but he had learned all he could from them. Plus he could always make more. Setting out for the 4th district, Gilbard wondered just how much his stuff would be worth to other people.
Thanks to the in-your-face advertising campaign at the district border, Gil hadn't spent much time finding the place. Strolling into a nearby pharmacy, he was met with a beaming young lady. "Good day, how may I help you?" "I'm here to have my goods evaluated." "Sir, we don't do-" "Get me your boss." He croaked, not in the mood for customer service. Out trotted an old man with a shrewd little face. "What can I do for you, Mr..." "Noam. I have some medicine to sell. It is unlike anything that you have." The old man gave a polite little laugh in response. "This is the fourth district, sir. The cutting edge of medicine lives here. Instead could I interest you in-"
Gilbard took out a jar of his d.ansgameoli and unscrewed it. He then bit into his thumb until he drew blood. Showing the man his wound, he then dipped it in the jar. Upon pulling it back out and wiping it off, the wound had been healed, with only a small pink scar being left behind. The man's eyes and mouth were circular shape by this time, and quickly ushered Gilbard into the back room.
"Well, Mr Noam, it looks like you have some strange stuff there, mind me asking what it is and where you got it?" The pair sat at a small coffee table. "I made it. It's called d.ansgameoli. I won't be sharing how I made it, but it is a powerful medicine which heals wounds quickly. It will be very valuable to the right buyer as you can imagine. I also have this stuff." He pulled out a second jar, this time with Sleeping Beauty inside. "This is called Sleeping Beauty. It causes those who injest it to fall into a death like paralysis for a short time." With a lightning fast flick, he pulled out a needle from the hem of his clothes and dipped it in, then pricked the young lady as she went back out to serve the other customers.
Soon after, she collapsed, like she had died instantly and for no apparent reason. Gil grabbed her before she hit the floor, lowering her down softly. "It will wear off soon. She is still aware of everything." By this point, the old man was practically drooling. As an experienced member of the 4th district, he knew just how valuable these substances would be to the right buyer. Not only that, but they would be even more valuable to The Good Doctor, who would no doubt want to attempt to replicate them. Gil was confident that they wouldn't be able to though, due to not being able to find out or even get to what they were made out of. "I see, and how much are you wanting for these?" "I'll leave it to your appraisal. But let it be known that I have other buyers that are willing to pay top dollar for this stuff and I have no urgency to shift this produce. I am curious how much the great 4th District values my best products. If there's a good price, I may be able to make more for you."
After the conversation had ended and a price had been agreed upon, Gilbard sold his two drugs and left the 4th District.
