Grand Voyage Information:

~ACT I~

The morning normally for Elliot, he woke up in the Marine Headquarters stationed just outside of Future City. He didn’t have any assignments for today, Robert was out and about, and the crew had the day off. He put on his civilian attire, which consisted of pair of jeans, shoes, and his blue hoodie with the red stripe. He didn’t wear anything with Marine logics or symbols. He just wanted to enjoy the city without having to worry about the World Government stereotype following him even more than it already does. The Long-leg was going to do something for himself today. While he was apart of the Runaways, he grew accustomed to drinking the occasional beer after something good happened. He had joined a crew that was going after some decent players in the outlaw scenes. On his first visit into the city, he scouted out various shady bars that often sold him drinks without a second thought because of his immense size. He lucked out being fifteen feet tall, but it did have certain disadvantages with building and ship sizing. He needed a large room without having to sleep in a very uncomfortable position.

He took off out the headquarters in his civilian clothes with a little bit of money in his pocket. He wanted to have a couple of drinks and see what the shade side of Future City had to offer. He wouldn’t do anything to cause trouble with the World Government or Happo Navy. The bar wasn’t anything special in looks or structure, but it was crated for large individuals and was garage themed. They had a lot of robot, car, and anything machines themed there. He found it a nicer place to get the drinks he wanted, and he didn’t really have to talk to the people within. Elliot turns down two or three different locks before getting to the street with Toni’s Garage on it. The horribly painted sign hung on the front of the building with the letters painted a red color with the background a white paint that was chipping off. It didn’t sound to busy inside, but he figured it was still pretty early in the afternoon for drinks.

Walking into the bar, Elliot made his way over to the barter, ordered a simple ale, and took his first gulp before closing his eyes and sighing deeply. He loved the taste of a good beer or ale after some good luck. He opened his eyes to look at the bar mirror in front of him. He could see a board on the back wall with fostered pinned to it. You could tell that most of the posters were crossed out, ripped, or barely readable, but he noticed a man standing in front of it with a inspecting look on his face. The long-leg took another drink of his ale before turning around on his stool to face the man fully. He didn’t take notice at first because he was too busy looking for something that obviously wasn’t there. Turning around to head to the bar, he instantly noted Elliot looking at him with a curious look on his face. It seemed like things were about to get interesting in Future City.

~ACT I CONT.~

The man rushed by Elliot without even saying anything to him at first. He only motioned for the bartender, pulled out a piece of paper, that looked to have three stars on it, and whispered something that he couldn’t really make out. Finally the bartender moved to the back and the man turned to look at the long leg in his face, he placed the paper back into his coat before smirking. “You got a problem big kid?” The man’s voice was almost foreign in appearance, he looked to have short hair tucked underneath a beanie, heavy coat for the harsh weather, and a pair of mechanical gloves in his pocket. Elliot spun back around to face the bar fully, took a drink, and smirked back. “No problem. Just trying to figure out why you are looking at that board so damn hard that is all.” The long-leg gave a small chuckle before tapping on the bar to order another drink. “I will get one for him too.” When Elliot said this, he pointed over at the man that seemed to a bit taller than the average human, which Elliot would probably take a guess of seven feet tall. When the bartender returned with two pieces of paper that looked like the posters over on the board, the man smiled just like he would if he had won a lot of money. He took his shot he ordered before taking a small drink of the ale to wash it all down. “My name is Issac René. I am a three star bounty hunter.” Taking a brief pause before continuing, “I would be a four star, but I killed the last bounty instead of bring him in alive. I was looking for a massive bounty out here in Karakul, which I happened to just find.” He held up a poster that was of a person named Unstoppable Ryon. He was worth a hell of a lot of money, and the other poster was of a smaller bounty of a Mad Mike, which held a picture of a guy that had a bolt coming out of his head.

Elliot had heard of the bounty hunters before but he never would’ve goes that they could reach five hundred million bounty. He didn’t know what he would do with that money if he ever came across it. Instantly Elliot was interested in the life of a bounty hunter, he took another drink of his ale before asking Issac a very simple question. “How do you get started?” A smirk slid across the bounty hunters face after the words left his mouth, he downed his beer before folding up the poster of the Unstoppable Ryon’s poster and tucking it in his pocket. “Let’s go! I will show you how to start out, kid. If you get yourself killed, you aren’t my responsibility. I will show ya how to bounty hunter and you will go after Mad Mike.” The long-leg down his beer, paid his tab, and got his stuff all while Issac turned around to head out of the bar. Chasing after him in such a hurry, Elliot didn’t notice the two cloaked beings in the back of the bar that piped up at the sound of Mad Mike’s name. Who were they? Elliot was definitely about to find out.

~ACT I ENDS~

It didn’t take Elliot long to catch up to The Bounty Hunter named Issac. The man was built tough but the looks of him, he also seemed to be knowledgable about things around that kind of world. Elliot didn’t fully understand how the Bounty Hunter system worked, but he hoped that this man would provide him with a little bit of an introduction. walking through the crowded streets was a bit easier of rate tall long-leg, he seemed to part the sea everywhere he went. Everyone seemed to think that he needed a crap ton of space, or they were just too nervous to even try to all close to him. After about a minute of walking, Elliot finally broke the silence. “Mister René, you said you were going to give me a little bit of an introduction to this life. What exactly does your job deal with aside from killing or capturing individuals?” Elliot was generally curious on the fact. He always figured that Bounty Hunters were lawless people that always took a liking to beating people up for money. But the persona that Issac gave off wasn’t like that, he seemed noble in a sense. He had a good aura about him, and he only chuckled before answering Elliot’s question. “Kid, we have to scout the area the bounty has been living in. We need to find some sort of associate that we can use to gather information. Then, we need to find out where they are hiding, investigate it, and come up with a plan of action to acquire the bounty without killing them. You always gain the most money by being them in alive.” He gave a small smile as he looked over his shoulder to check their backs to prevent anyone from sneaking up to them.

Issac picked up on the two heavily cloaked individuals that seemed to react to the mentioning of Mad Mike’s name. He averted his gaze to prevent them from picking up that he had figured them out. Elliot, who didn’t know anything about the individuals following them, kept going with the information transfer. “Okay, you take in people alive for bounties. You have to gather information on the people to make this easier than just popping up and trying to beat them. Seems fairly easy in the concept, but I am gathering that each bounty will have themselves held up somewhere?” Issac only seemed to nod at Elliot’s question while he took another peak behind them. This time Elliot picked up on Issac gazing behind them. “What is it?” The Bounty Hunter Smirked and only whispered, “I think we got a tail.” He took a right down an alleyway towards a dead end about twenty meters down he alleyway.

Issac turned around to face the two individuals that happened to follow them down the alleyway. He stepped further back to let Elliot stand between him and the individuals. “Here is your test, kid! Take em out and leave one alive to give ya information.” Elliot looked from his mentor back at the two rather big men standing in front of him. He could make out an eerie glow of red behind the scarfs and everything blocking their face from being seen. The pair of heavily clothed individuals both took off towards the duo at the end of the alleyway. Elliot had to make a choice; he couldn’t release a cannonball with the mouth of the alleyway opening up into the street. He could cause too much damage that way. He could use the new technique that he developed for more long range individuals, but he simply shook that off to go with a classic for his mentor to finally realize who he was dealing. The pair closed in on Elliot without any weapons, which meant they were very confident in their hand-to-hand abilities. Elliot simply raised his right hand with a finger gun pointed directly at the individual to his left. With a smirk, he morphed his index finger, which was being used of rate barrel of his finger gun, into the barrel of a pistol. The pistol fired off at newly seen speed before slammed into the head of the individual to the left. This threw off the attack that was being carried out on Elliot. The last remaining individual jumped to the side before adjusting to a more boxer-liked stance hesitating at the weird finger gun development.

“God damn, kid. That was pretty interesting power. I think you will become a great hunter. You got one left. Take him alive if you can. We need to know who exactly is coming after us.” Just at the moment, the individual seemed to speak with a robotic voice. “Protocol Delta activated. Return to base.” He turned to run away, but Elliot acted quickly morphing his whole arm into a elegant Designated Marksman Rifle with a long barrel. Elliot took quick aim before firing off three shots that slammed into both knees of the individual and the third shot slamming into the lower back. The recently fallen being seemed to spark and twitch, like a machine would after it shorted out.

The last robotic individual was trying to crawl away while his knees and lower back shot sparks out. The low hum of mechanical engineering struggling to turn and keep the person moving. Elliot strolled over to the individual crawling away and he was saying over and over again. “Gotta get back to base. Must report to Master Mike. Must Report...” He sighed before creating the finger gun again and letting it go into the back of the head of the robotic grunt. “We wouldn’t have gotten anything out of him. These guys are just robots. It looks like they were triggered by you saying Mad Mike’s name. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a higher Intelligent robotic being watching them.” Elliot and Issac took off back down the alleyway with the bounty hunter laughing loudly at how easily Elliot took care of those mindless grunts. He was going to teach this kid everything he knew before he left out for his Bounty. Before leaving the alleyway, Elliot grabbed both robotic individuals, he figured he could scrap the metal to earn some belt or even sell them off to someone else.

~ACT II BEGINS~

After the events of the day, Elliot went back to the headquarters to rest and think about everything he had learned about the Bounty hunting business. He could honestly grow it into something that no one has ever seen yet. An entire enterprise that consists of the bounty hunting objective. These bounties were ordered by the government and were enemies of those. He didn’t know what exactly the upper levels of the job consisted of. He went to sleep thinking a lot about the day and hoped that the next day of going through rounds with Issac would be just as eventful!

Waking up the next morning, he kept to the simple style of a civilian and met Issac just on the outskirts of the city. They were going to start the day by going through the various Happo Navy guards that were friendly to the Bounty Hunters. They notice all of the coming and going within the city. If anyone was coming and going a lot would be noticed by them, Elliot was mostly observing today but he knew that he needed to find out something about Mad Mike if he was going to be going up against him in the future. Issac was dressed pretty much the same as yesterday with the addition of a bag of what looked like baked goods in his hand. They walked along the edge of the city while chatting about various small details of the job, like where to take bounties and what side streets will lead you out somewhere good, and the ones that end in a dead end. Finally the long-leg had to ask about the bag! “It is a present for our first informant. Louie. He is a bit on the heavier side, which is why I am giving him muffins, cookies, brownies, and a couple of marshmallow balls for his information.” Elliot looked at him kind of shocked. He had enough stuff for him to ask a question or two as well.

It took them probably another ten minutes to find the guard shack that Louie was resting in. They walked up on the Happo Navy guard asleep in his shack. Tossing the bag of goods onto his stomach, Louie woke up abruptly to a laughing Issac. “Hey Louie, I brought ya some goodies. I figured you could help me and my little friend out with a couple of answers.” Issac seemed to almost jokily  to pull the guard into the conversation. He asked a little about his mark coming into town or not, but the guard could only say that they were told to leave the Coil alone now. The Coil was supposed to be under new protection of someone claiming to be The World’s Great Marksman. Issac finally waved over Elliot before motioning him to ask a few things.

“Well, I have this poster of Mad Mike. We were attacked by Robotic cloaked individuals yesterday. Have you noticed anyone fitting his description or the descriptions of the cloaked individual?” Elliot wasn’t going to take notes or anything like that. He was forcing himself to remember what the informant gave him, because he didn’t wanna leave a paper trail for someone to follow if they killed him for his bounty. Louie stuffed his face full of brownies while he spoke to Elliot. “Well, I have noticed more cloaked individuals coming into town. They come in groups of two and don’t really do much by linger around town in bars. They don’t do much. So we don’t mess with them either.” Elliot nodded a bit while he took that in. If he had seen numerous pairs of cloaked individuals. Then he could possibly find out even more from people on the street. “Where did they wander and linger around the most though, Louie?” He looked shocked at Elliot. He stuffed around brownies when he chuckled again at the young buck. “Well they stuck to the bars on the northside and the food joints on that side of town as well. I hear they didn’t really eat a lot. They simply drank and watched the people.” Louie waved off the pair to enjoy his sweets. He definitely got some good information from the first person. he couldn’t wait to see who elsIssac had on the agenda today.

~ACT II CONT~

The next stop of the day had to be adjusted sightly for the Northside information they got from louie, but Issac reassured Elliot that he knew of a lady on the Northside that had her hand in pretty much all the illegal trade in that area. She would normally divulge some information after a little time with Issac. This was a bit more sensitive when it came to this woman. He definitely had an little trick up his sleeve today. They entered Eleanor’s place that was a garage and blacksmithing shop. She seemed to be able to forge and maintain vehicles from her place. “Hello love!” Issac’s voice boomed and echoed throughout the garage causing Eleanor to suddenly look up from his little project, which was a pretty insane looking body armor. “I got a kid with me that I am teaching the ropes of this little Bounty Hunting Gig. Be nice to the Boy!” Issac’s voice seemed almost happier or something in the presence of this lady. They exchanged little kisses before she drew her age to the boy, who could barely fit in her garage.

“I suppose, you will owe me for the information I will be giving he kid. You definitely can’t pay for it now.” Eleanor gave a small wink to Issac who seemed to blush slightly before motioning for Elliot to asked his questions. “First off, I would like to know if anyone is buying this sort of metal from you guys.” He pulled out a piece of the robot that they had taken out yesterday. He had dismantled a little bit of the robotic grunts to get a feel for the components that were used in its creation. She examined the piece before tossing it back on the pile behind her. “I did sell some metal like that. A couple of other places have sold to the same cloaked individuals with the mechanical voices.” She leaned over to whisper something into Issac’s ear before returning her gaze to Elliot. “If you bring in the rest of the metal, I will give ya some money for the scrap. Last question you got kid you should make it worth the price being paid.” She filed her nails a little bit while she waited for his next question.

Elliot thought for a few moments on the specific question he needed to ask the informant, he knew a bit about the people that Mad Mike had working or built for him. He had the robotic guards to prevent himself from being spotted in town. Someone must’ve gotten some sort of information on his whereabouts. “If numerous people are seeing these cloaked individuals, I would like to know if any information has come up about where Mad Mike likes to lay his head at night. He obviously can’t be in the city, because he is using these robots to do his small work to gather his supplies.” She lifted the file and pointed it at Elliot. “That is the question, my boy!” She gave a small smile before going back to filing her nails more. “There have been rumors of an ice towers up by some of the mountain sides near the city. Some say he lives in the city somewhere, but the information seems to definitely lead to outside of the city. I would keep my leads going there.” She gave a small smile before waving the boy to leave, which he definitely did. he waved to Issac before heading across the street to grab a bit to eat while the bounty hunter “paid” the lady.

~ACT II ENDS~

After an hour or so, Elliot had gone back to his hiding spot in the city to grab the rest of the robotic grunts and returned when Issac was exiting the garage. Eleanor appeared out from the garage whenever the long-leg got close enough with the sacks full of parts from the grunts they took out yesterday. “I dismantled a bunch of it, because I didn’t wanna be seen carrying around two human body like robots around the town.” She handed Elliot full of Beli for the scraps of the two robotic grunts, and she gave Issac one last kiss before waving them goodbye. “Well, I would say that was an interesting encounter.” Elliot would say as they walked towards the Northside entrance to the city. If they were sticking close to the Northside, Mad Mike and his goons might be in the northerner part of the island. They would have to ask a couple of people that interacted with the cloaked individuals like they did.

Issac was giving little bits of information, but he was mostly working on his own plan to take on a Deva-classed Bounty that would grant him Four-Star ranking within the Bounty hunting community. Elliot could tell on his face and how he had been drawing down every plan that he could possibly think of as a sign hat he really wants to earn that ranking. One thing that Elliot picked up on during their time together, he realized that Issac was a hand-to-hand fighter or a close ranged fighter. He didn’t carry weapons but he could always be seen holding those gloves in his pockets. They must be for his fighting style. He wouldn’t ever get close to a Marksman that was feared around the world. He was taking on a pipe dream. He kept all of his plans and journal entry in a little light brown leather bound book. It was perfect size to fit in the inner workings of his heavy coat that he had taken to wearing in the harsh environments of Karakul Island.

They finally reached the beast place to ask around about the cloaked guys, The North Market Place. The highly mechanical city did have a little market for various items that could only be found in the harsh environments of Karakul, like furs, gems, and various other accessories. Elliot spent he next hour going from vendor to vendor asking questions about the routines of the cloaked individuals that had been coming into the city for the past few months. Some he had to trade something for the information, like a couple of Beli notes or a certain item from another vender. Elliot had to be quick to learn a little about bartering for things. Issac came to his rescue a couple times before he finally got the full hang of it. They ended the day at one of the little restaurants on the Northside of the city. They talked back and forth about their bounties before Issac finally finished this food and addressed Elliot with a more direct tone. “Kid, what did you learn today and yesterday?” He took a drink of his beverage while he waited for Elliot to process the information and give him a bit of inside looking what he knew about his mark.

“Well... Mad Mike doesn’t ever do anything for himself. He has been gathering materials and technology to create robotic grunts to do his bidding while he tinkered in his little compound.” He paused to take of drink of his beverage before going on with what he learned about the compound and Mad Mike himself. “I learned from a vendor that he sent someone to spy on the cloaked guys, and he returned from the icy wasteland with tales of a ice tower that Mad Mike stays in. I will be going to check out that tomorrow, and they said you can hear him working and the buzz of electricity in use when you get close.” Pausing for the final time, Elliot finishes with, “He doesn’t seem to fight for himself, which one could assume that he won’t put up much of a fight if I can take out his guards. He also stopped heading into town when he got his ass beat in a little bar brawl that was finally broken up by the bar owner and his muscle.” He let out a small sigh before looking up to an approving nod from Issac. He gave a small smirk before patting Elliot on his shoulder. “You did good, Kid. I will see ya at the collection house. I am off to hike towards my mark. Don’t get yourself killed!” He paid their bill and disappeared into the setting sun. Elliot finished his drink and plate before heading back to the Headquarter for a good nights rest before hiking towards his mark’s location in the morning.
