Cassius perused the various wares of the Ninth District, not looking for anything in particular but simply killing time. He had met an interesting pair of fellows recently and his mind was alive with thoughts and plans for the future. He had heard from his people on Fishman Island, things seemed to be at a stand still and he wished more than anything to swim back to them and join their ranks, but he knew he still wasn't prepared. The execution had all but confirmed his fears of where he stood in the world. While he hadn't stuck around for the main event, the papers had been flushed with news and reports of what had happened. Not only that, but the entire city of Lulusia Kingdom had shook and rocked with what happened in the arena. True goliaths had gone toe to toe and the world stood on edge waiting holding its breath. When such monsters like that existed, how could Cassius even dream of toppling an entire kingdom?

Cassius shook his head, putting the clearly counterfeit jewelry he had been holding back on the display case. He hadn't even noticed the shrewd old hag chastising him for touching her "expensive wares".
Mmm, apologies. He mumbled, moving on from her stall. He walked through the streets in what felt like a mental haze. Sober, yet confused all the same. His thoughts were muddled and the stress coursed through him, threatening to consume him. He lit his pipe, raising it to his lips in an attempt to calm his mind. Scratching at his beard, he gazed about the shops and walls of the buildings. Suddenly a poster caught his eye and he paused.

A...circus? The words of the poster had caught him by surprised and yet suddenly it all made sense. Such a childish thing was exactly what his bedraggled brain needed. A mindless show of entertainment to distract him, giving him a much needed break to catch his thoughts and restructure his plans. The men could do with a bit of fun as well, something to ease their own nerves about the upcoming battle. Many of them had left their loved ones back on the island to sail with Cassius, obtain needed war supplies and grow stronger to return. As such, their thoughts often drifted back to home, same as Cassius's own. He pitied them and sympathized, this would be the perfect break.

Ripping the poster from the wall of the building it was plastered to, Cassius glanced it over. Tickets were cheap and it seemed the next show was starting in about an hour, giving him plenty of time to return to The Leviathan II, gather his men and head out. Perhaps they could even share a drink or three beforehand, to really get in the spirit of the show. He smiled, folding the poster and placing it in his jacket pocket as he turned his attention back to the Nil District docks where The Leviathan II sat docked in the sludge waters.

Several minutes later he stepped aboard the main dock and walked over to the alarm bell. Grasping it firmly he rung the daylights out of it, rousing the men from their duties and mid-afternoon naps below deck. They scrambled up the stairs, numerous confused vagrants stopped what they were doing on the docks to stare up at the sudden sound aboard the large vessel. His men, some armed, looked about wildly for any sign of danger. Cassius burst out in a belly laugh,
Wawawawa! Settle down there men, didn't mean to give ya such a fright. I've good news, we're going out on the town today for a show. Something to lighten the spirits and turn those sour moods around. There's a circus in town, and before you ask, yes I did say circus. Childish it might be, it's exactly what we need. Grab a cask of whisky from below, we'll lubricate our brains properly before setting off. Wawawa! The fishman laughed again, watching the confused faces of his crew turn to surprised and then joyful laughter as two ran down to retrieve the cask and the group drank heartily (or as one might say, pregamed the shit out of this circus).

The carnies had set up their circus in a clearing where an old building had recently been torn down. It was exactly as Cassius had expected, with the grand main tent being white and red striped, people hurried into the entrance, pushing and jostling one another for the good seats. Cassius and his crew laughed and joked about the flustered humans who milled about, chuckling as one would near, notice the buzzed fishmen and immediately back away in poorly hid fear or disgust. For once, being what humans considered to be hideous was actually beneficial. As a result, the crew of fishmen made their way towards the main entrance rather quickly, trying to hide their amusement as the crowd parted around them like a sea.

Inside it was dark, the air a bit stale, but people were just as busy in here as they had been out there. Children ran ahead of their parents, trying to find front row seats to the action. Cassius and his men were content to detach themselves from the crowd and head to higher seats in the back.
Let the children scramble for those closer seats. We'll make our own fun back here boys, wawawawa! The fishman belly laughed and his men raised their drinks in agreement as they found their seats. It was amazing to Cassius just how rude creatures of the same race could be to one another. Not only to one another, but even family members. He watched wives berate husbands, parents berate children, even some children talking down to their own parents. The fishman shook his head in disgust, happy for the dim lighting so he could easily ignore the pathetic mongrels.

As the tent began to truly fill up, carnies entered the center ring area, sweeping and readying the floor for the big show. Props began being rolled out and Cassius watched in childlike wonder, trying to predict what each one would be used for and which acts would be performed today. Finally, after a long few minutes, a well dressed man in a red coat, white pants and black top hat walked out to the center of the ring. The crowd quieted as he suddenly opened his arms wide and shouted out to the crowd,
Good evening ladies and gentleman, tonight you are in for the performance of a lifetime! Truly the greatest show in the world!

The crowd clapped and cheered, eager for the show to begin, and so it did. For the next hour or so, Cassius and his crew watched in drunken amazement as performers juggled balls, knives and then even flaming knives. There were clowns, sword swallowers, fire blowers, cannons and various trapeze artists who descended from the ceiling on ribbons. Cassius watched in amazement as they walked through the air on little more than fabric. At one point, clowns stuffed a rather bendy woman into a box, closing the lid and placing it on top of their tiny prop car, only for both full grown gentlemen to enter the car and drive off. This brought cheers and a deep belly laugh from Cassius,
Wawawawa! How'do they do that, eh? He asked his nearest crew member, laughing the whole time.

However, the fishman captain's mood took a turn as the animals were brought out. Various acts began, some with large cats, others with monkeys. Each time they were wheeled out in cages, released and, when they didn't perform the way the ringleader desired, were whipped feverishly until they did as commanded. The animals looked malnourished, broken and, even from high up where Cassius was, it was clear they had numerous scars across their bodies matching the strokes of the whip.
The hell they think they're doing to those poor creatures? Cassius asked in outrage, the empty bottle of rum shattering in his hand as he gripped it too firmly.

His crew members looked at one another before looking back at their captain, knowing full well what was about to happen.
I say, that ringleader needs to be taught a lesson. Take the other end of that whip and see how he likes it.
Aye Cap'n. One of his crew members agreed.
Just then, the large cat they had been showing around the arena was placed back in its cage and a new cage was rolled out. This one lacked the iron bars but instead was made of some sort of glass and filled with water. In it, sat a small sea creature no more than three feet in length. It looked scared, nervous even as it took in the large crowd and its eyes then fell on the ringmaster and his whip. It sank to the bottom of the tank as rubber balls were dropped into it, floating on the surface.

Surely, you've all heard of the great sea monsters. Leviathans of the deep, the deadliest creatures known in all the high seas. The monstrosities known as, SEA KINGS! The ringleader shouted as the crowd hushed and then murmured amongst one another, clearly contributing members of the show.
We here have not only mastered the master of the sea, but trained it to perform a wonderfully hilarious act for you all tonight. Gaze on in amazement as this titan of the ocean juggles for you. The ringleader said with a chuckle and the rest of the crowd joined in. The ringleader turned his attention to the tank, staring at the nervous Sea King baby, who stared back visibly shaking in its own tank. When the creature didn't begin its act, the ringleader snapped his whip on the ground to get the creature's attention. Successful in his desire, the sea king began its act. It swam rapidly to the surface of the tank, flipping out of the water and into the air above the tank. Three balls were thrown high with it as the Sea King fell back into the tank only to rise to the surface once more and begin juggling the balls by expelling geysers of water from its mouth.

The crowd whooped and cheered, but Cassius only fumed more as he watched this poor, defenseless creature worked against its own will. A beast such as that had no business confined to such a small area. It should be free to roam and swim as it pleases. However, the final straw was when the sea king was too slow to launch a geyser of water and one of the balls dropped back into the tank. Almost immediately the ringleader's whip cracked across the back of the sea king's head, causing it to whimper in pain. A thin trickle of blood leaked into the water as the rest of the balls splashed into the tank around the whimpering sea king.
Again. The ringleader demanded.
The sea king continued whimpering in the water, too scared to move.
Again! The ringleader demanded, his voice louder as he cracked the whip over the Sea King's head.
This caused the Sea King to begin to visibly shake and cry, hunkering down even more to get away.
I said- He began, raising the whip once more.
Enough! Cassius declared, rising from his seat, fists balled.
Here we go. One of his crewmates sighed as they too rose with their captain.

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

Scanning the Ninth District Market place for materials for his dials, Jackal hoped to find at least one or two merchants who'd managed to stumble upon a few conch shells that'd be of use to him for his recent makes.

Alas, dubs all of them, and the trip the market, though never a bore, ended up being a complete failure in the sense of being productive. In center street, one occurrence was much different from anything he'd ever seen before, and honestly, as someone not too familiar with the outside world, though, it'd been three years since he'd been free, a sights of a clown dancing in the middle of the street, while juggling three metal balls, was indeed, intriguing to him.

However, the market wasn't as kind to outsiders trying to promote anything other than a product, so as the man did his usual routine, the force shoulders bumping into him to and fro, eventually brought him to his knees, knocking off his jester hat, which seemed to have a bit of a Christmas Theme.

Trying re-calibrate after the unfriendly bump, the man's third eye came into view to all around him, and the flyers he'd been handing out occasionally, would've taken back burner to everything else on his person. The murmurs from the gawking racists came in like clock-work, even though the marines had enforced the law about Three-Eyed Clan's men being equal, obviously, in sewer dump like Baltigo, the words of the World Government only acted as lighter fuel to already unquenchable racial flare. "Eew.. Look at his eye... It's moving... Is that real?" one of the crowd members announced.

Scrambling for his hat, his parchments scattered all across the street, the Bandit King slid from behind the crowd to the front to garner a much more personal view. Retrieving his hat, the members of the crowd began to scream and shout at the teen, "That circus has Three-Eyed People! What a bunch of freaks!"

"Those monsters are responsible for the chaos in the world today! I hope you all die out!"

"Monsters!"

Just as the Bandit King had enough, leaping over the crowd, jaguar mink landed in the inner circle of the crowd. Dressed in a jester uniform, the Mink carried a single long-sword at this side, and with much intensity, the Mink drew the tip of the blade, and smack the Three-Eyed Clansman in his face.

"My name is Dan Dan. I'm a worker at the circus! If my slave has offended you, then I truly apologize. I was overseeing his actions from a far, I assure you, this one is not a threat, we've already broken his will and his mind! I hope that this wouldn't discourage you from coming to our circus. Despite his race, the boy is the perfect subject for the knife throwing show!" the Mink, Dan Dan explained.

Biting his lip, blood began to run onto his Calico Scarf, draped in his brown hooded robe, the Bandit King surely just watched a bit longer, before it became to obvious as the crowd disbursed. The Jaguar Mink scuttle around like a mice following a pied pipers tune, giving out flyers to the crowd members, picking them up off the ground, one by one, until finally, the market had returned to normal. The Mink would quickly grapple onto the Three-Eyed, leading him down street, through the nearest alleyway, and out of curiosity, the Bandit King followed, trialing behind far enough that his presence wouldn't be noticed.

"Why- Why must it always be us!?" the unknown voice coming from the Three-Eyed Member exclaimed.

"Sampha. I warned you about leaving the carny to come out into this cesspool. Ignore the ringleader's orders sometimes, he doesn't have our best interest in mind." Dan Dan stated.

Propped against the one of the wall's that acted as the entrance to the alleyway, the Jackal Mink's keen hearing fed the entire conversation his way with perfect clarity.

Clutching onto the brace around his neck, "It's because of these cursed slave collars!" Sampha shouted. "I hate them. All of these humans don't understand us! My people we're slaughtered by them and now I have to work as their entertainment. It'd rather pull this collars switches and die-" Sampha's words were cut short from a massive backhanded slap from Dan Dan.

"You're only 18 Sampha. I've been with this circus since I was a cub. Through my own desire to see the world, I ventured from my homeland to become a pirate. After losing many crews, I ended up in their care. The Ringleader is a nasty man but I urge you, don't forfeit your life. I plan to escape this circus one day, and resume my dream of returning back home... to Zou. I'll take you with me."
Dan Dan explained.

Breaking down in tears, "I know Dan Dan. It's just... I don't want to be treated like this anymore." Sampha stated, wiping his tears in his raggedy attire. "Let's get back. We don't have much time left until the show commences anyway. I'll buy you a drink after tonight's performance." Dan Dan stated.

As the two exited the alleyway, and entered back onto the main street, Jackal and the Three-Eyed Teen's Sampha's eyes met momentarily. A smirk filled his face, as Jackal remembered his good friend, the foolish Alabasta Prince who also carried the clan's blood. The shackles that'd been placed on him, even as royalty, the world they'd live in was constantly looking for groups to blame. Before the Pirate Era, it was the Revolutionaries, before that it was those who'd resist the World Government's formation and now, in a more modern context, with the appearance of the Devil Fruit, once again, the blame landed on another group, the Three Eye Clan.

Picking up a flyer that'd happen to left in the elements of the wind, Jackal decided to check out the show, just to inspect what kind of operation the circus had been running. With enough time dedicated, Jackal climbed onto the rooftops of the buildings in the district, using his claws as pegs to scale the structures. At the pinnacle, the Mink would leap from building to building, checking the poster for the street's address, finally, in the distance, after about thirty-minutes by foot, he'd stumble upon a red and white tent in the clearing, with it's own makeshift metallic barricades, put in place to mediate the massive crowd that huddled to get in.

Putting on his goggles, Jackal used their telescope option to scan the perimeter of the tent, circling around the buildings in the area until he'd made it to a clearing in the back, a kind of stable of smaller tents where the carnies housed. Leaping from the ceiling, and gliding several meters inward, Jackal land in the heart of the carnies camp but as soon as he landed, the cold feel of steel pressed against his head.

"Where in the world did ya' comeback from Mink. Are you dumb!? Boss said you can't sneak out on showday!" the woman exclaimed, chewing the gum in her mouth feverishly as the double barrel shotgun was in contact range to the Mink's dome.

"Shishishishi... Sorry. I lost my outfit... and my flyers. Some Bandits stole all of my possessions. I had to buy new clothes and- Look! Forgive me! I only got picked up in the last island, I'm new to this all and a little slow. Forgive me." the Bandit King stated, grovelling, assuming his character almost instantly. Jackal had forgotten this feeling, the need to assume a character to fool those around him, it was a life he'd often been accustomed to as a slave, a bitter-sweet kind of experience.

Lowering the gun, and chucking the Mink onto the ground by slapping him in the back of the head with the barrel, "Good. Once ya' understand who yer' masters are! Go and help the others carry out the Big Bretha! We're almost nearing to the main event. Don't forget your face-paint!" the woman announced. "Thus continues the curse of women placing guns to my head." Jackal thought to himself chuckling. Shedding his robe, and pillaging the tents for a circus performers outfit, Jackal finally blended in with the other carnies, however, the treatment of the non-human performers was atrocious, having to balance the tank with the Baby Sea King on their backs, with no assistance from the other staff, Jackal propped the cage down, and retreated back, scanning the crowd to see faces of all those in attendance.

It'd be then that Jackal would pick up on the faces of the Jaguar Mink from earlier and the Three-Eyed Clansman who'd also been in his performers attire in the back stage area. As the Ring Leader began his heckling towards the crowd, the sound of the whip lashing against the Sea King brought merriment to much of the backstage staff, except those who'd been on the other end of it for most of their stay there. One thing Jackal had lost was his ability to stay in character, as the blood lust oozed from the Bandit King, even the terrified staff that felt the pressure coming from the performer, dared not to inch any closer.

That sentiment sparked a fuel in the other non-human slaves, the Fishmen, the Minks and the one Three-Eyed Clansman, however, none of them even moved an inch, because unlike Jackal, they truly knew the consequences of speaking up. Right before the Ring Leader was about to raise his whip for another strike, the Mink stepped out from rafters, springing into mid-air with several explosive charges until he'd make to the tightrope, overlooking the crowd, but at the same time, a familiar face had stood up and voiced his stance, and even if he couldn't see Jackal with the distance between them, the goggles formerly on his forehead, and now on his face, made it even more obvious what was about to happen.

Hanging from the tightrope upside down, using his legs as braces to maintain suspended, the Mink chuckled to himself, "Beat me to it, Cass." Jackal stated, loud enough for himself to hear.

This skill utilises Jackal's dog like appendages to leap distances in any direction or height, in a nimble matter. It's similar to acrobatics, and can be used to escape or evade contact. At this Rank, Jackal can use this skill in conjunction with a Strike Based attack to add momentum to his movement, giving the attack used the speed of this skill.
Range: Mid (15m-50m)
Attribute: Speed & Agility
Rank: Advanced

Name: Quick Detonation!
Description:
Using quicker compact detonations, Jackal uses these charges to obtain flight and hover for up to miles, in a multidirectional manner. Each burst(s) allows Jackal to travel up to fifty meters in any direction successively, before needing to fire off another charge. Prolonged flight however puts immense strain on the Mink's body, for every five post(s) that this skill is used continuously, the speed & potential range diminishes. The maximum that can be travelled in any post is 100 Meters at a time.

The look on the ringleader's face said it all. Cassius's outburst was not only unexpected, but unwanted as well. However, he was a showman above all else and while his lips twisted in a perturbed frown for a fleeting moment, they quickly broadened into a wide smile when he realized the show was still on.
Ah, look at this folks, it seems we have a member of the audience who wishes to be part of the show. Usually sir we ask that you wait until the portion of the show where we ask for volunteers, but my word you seem so excited you're ready to burst. We'll simply have to make an exception, right folks?

The crowd, in response and still believing this was all part of the act, clapped and cheered as Cassius gruffly made his way down the wooden steps to the center ring of the circus. At one point he passed a man carrying soda and popcorn back up to his family in the stands. The man's arms were full and he and Cassius engaged in an awkward sidestep, each matching the other while trying to get out of the way and proceed in opposite directions. After the third such incident, with Cassius's temper reaching a boiling point, he simply grabbed the confused man by the shoulders and, with his superhuman strength, tossed him into the stands to his left without a care in the move.
Oi, move you fool. He said, finishing his descent.

In the center ring now, Cassius could feel the light workers in the rafters train the beams on him, showcasing him for the crowd. He looked up to see where they were, annoyed by the excessive attention he was given. Raising an arm to block out the light, he squinted and could just make out a figure with a scarf and goggles, furry and certainly not human, it hung from the trapeze wire staring down at him. Something about this creature seemed far too familiar, but he didn't have time to place it as the ringleader interrupted his thoughts once more,
You seem quite fond of this little creature my fish-friend. Perhaps you'd like to take its place in the tank? You seem...the type for it. The ringleader said with a cruel smile, flicking the tip of the whip into the dirt at his feet with a snap of his wrist.

Cassius grunted and frowned with distaste, What's say I show you the business end of that whip? See how you fare when you're helpless and we all see you for the sniveling weakling you are. See how the crowd likes that one. He outstretched his hand, taunting the ringleader to give him the whip.
The ringleader's eyes flared with anger as the whip suddenly lashed out, slicing through the air and lashing across Cassius's open hand. Blood splattered into the dirt at the fishman's feet as a massive gash was carved into the palm of his hand. The crowd gasped and then hushed into a timid silence, waiting for what came next. Some of them were beginning to question whether or not this was still part of the act and murmured amongst themselves in a growing frenzy.

Having drawn blood, the ringleader regarded Cassius like a butcher ready to carve a fine piece of meat. Cassius however, did not react to the lashing. He did not recoil in pain, though his hand felt as if it had been set on fire. He did not yell or scream, though if the sound in his gut had escaped his lips, one might mistake it for the roar of a lion. Instead, with anger and hatred pumping adrenaline to his hands and numbing the pain, Cassius simply closed his fist, squeezing more droplets of blood onto the dirt floor and closed his eyes for a moment. Two deep breaths later, he opened his eyes, staring directly at the ringleader. Time seemed to slow down momentarily. Though he could see the other workers staring at him behind the tank, feel their held breath, feel the collective breaths and eyes of each member of the audience, Cassius focused only on the ringleader, who's nerve was beginning to falter in the face of such stoic confidence.

That...was a mistake. The fishman said in a flat tone before suddenly rushing forward and delivering a devastating Thousand Tile True Punch to the center mass of the ringleader, who was thrown several meters backwards and into the wooden stands. People scrambled to get out of the way as it quickly became evident this was no longer part of the show at all and much, much worse. Panic ensued as workers of the carnival jumped into action and to their boss' aid. They came with various chains, collars and devises used to make the animals behave. Cassius regarded them all with a burning hatred as his men stood up behind him and descended to the center of the tent, coming to assist their captain in the brawl. Within seconds, the entire circus tent was swarming with the sounds of panicked civilians, angered circus carnies and belligerent fish pirates.

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

Keeping tabs on the developing scene, Jackal tinkered with the cogs on his goggles to get a quick gander of the incoming Fishman who seemed quite peeved, and it was none other than his old Conrad, Cassius from his work with Ursa all those months ago. "Hey!" one of the carnies shouted from the other end of the tightrope, it was a woman wearing tight leotards, with fluffy feathers and shimmering material as it's make. "You aren't suppose to be up here! If the Ring Leader sees you-" the woman's statement was halted by the sound of the cracking whip against Cassius hand. Turning his attention back towards the floor, "Shishishi... You shouldn't have done that." Jackal murmured to himself laughing at the Lesser's Mink's ignorance.

Of course, from this height, and hanging upside down, it was hard to focus on any exchange of dialogue, especially with the nagging tight rope performer heckling him every other second. What happened next didn't shock Jackal one bit but ensued chaos in the entire tent, with Cass slamming his hands into the Ring Leader's Face, the once astonished looks on the carnies huddling from a distance to watch the defiant man stand up to their handler, altered into agitation and hatred. A few by foot, and another half a dozen by animal, from behind the shades, the carnies tried to encircle the Fishman.

"Showtime." Jackal uttered, releasing his grip from the tightrope, adjusting his goggles to regular 20/20 vision as he'd descended. In one smooth motion, the Mink would've backed the Fishman, lifting up his goggles onto his forehead, releasing his blood lust towards the incoming grunts. Who now froze in fear from the menacing aura that bled from the Bandit King. However, the animal driven carnies didn't stop, as the animals, mostly the rhino's and tigers, three and three, six in total, came charging out of more so fear than anything else.

"We have to stop meeting like this Cassius. At least over drinks or at the local diner like normal beings do." Jackal stated grinning. "I'll handle your rear... I'll let you deal with the leader." Jackal concluded, cracking his knuckles.

Um...boss? One of Cassius's crewmen asked as the fishman captain sidestepped a carnie's fist before swatting him away with a powerful backhand of his own.
Oi? Cassius grunted, turning briefly to find his men staring at the furry mink trapeze artist before, now on the ground in front of them. His five men stood between Cassius and Jackal, taking turns looking from one to the other, unsure of what to do while they stared at the carnie animals that had simply dropped or frozen in sudden fear at Jackal's arrival.

Wawawawa, to think the Bandit King is still slumming it in Baltigo. The fishman rumbled with a deep belly laugh, Aye, once we deal with this, first round is on me. Cassius agreed, turning back towards the direction of where the ringleader had landed. Confused by their captain's interaction with this surprise visitor, but confident that he at least wasn't an enemy, the crew of fishmen decided to focus their efforts on the enraged carnies rather than try to decipher the politics or history between these two oddballs.

Cassius found the ringleader standing once more, dusting off his jacket and cracking his neck. He wiped blood from the side of his cheek where wood had splintered and cut him.
You're sturdier than you look. Cassius said as he stalked towards him, fists balled at his side.
Perhaps you're just weaker than you think. The ringleader offered.
Cassius's eyes narrowed, not from anger, but as he tried to focus on the strange color fading from beneath the man's ripped jacket and shirt. The fishman's eyebrows perked up as it suddenly made sense how such a thin framed man had not only survived a strike like that from Cassius, but was still unconscious.
Haki? Cassius asked in surprise.
The circus is full of tricks my friend. The ringleader said, before snapping the whip towards Cassius.

The fishman stumbled back, the whip ripping away at his right shoulder, tearing his jacket and opening a fresh wound. Cassius grunted, caught off guard by the ringleader's haki, his mind whirling. Off to his right came a sound and Cassius turned only to find a metal chair held by one of the carnies swing towards his face. His neck snapped to one side, blood spewed from his mouth as he fell to one knee. The ringleader saw his opportunity and seized it as Cassius felt the whip snare around his neck and tighten. He grasped at the rope with one hand, trying to free his windpipe and breathe fresh air. Meanwhile, the carnie had ditched the chair and pulled a jagged survival knife from his belt, now circling towards Cassius to deliver the final blow. With one hand Cassius pulled at the whip around his neck, but with the other he reached forward with an open palm, generating a storm cloud in the direction of the knife-wielding carnie. The carnie regarded the forming cloud curiously, confused for a moment before a massive gust of wind sprung forth, knocking him high into the air and clean through the top of the tent.

At this point, Cassius could feel his strength leaving him, the edge of his vision beginning to darken. The blood in his head pounded, begging and screaming to be let down, back to the heart and replaced with something fresh. He gasped for air, pawing at the whip now, the darkness was no longer creeping at the edges, it now enveloped him, fading in and out. A burst of water came towards him, passing over his head. Behind him he could hear the ringleader sputter and curse, the grip on the rope loosening momentarily. That was all Cassius needed to yank the end of the rope free of his neck and out of the hands of the ringleader. The fishman sucked in fresh air, wheezing and coughing, fresh life breathed into him. From his hands and knees he looked up at the tank, locking eyes with the proud little Sea King that had shot the geyser of water. It bobbed merrily in the water, staring back at Cassius who simply nodded and, with his voice horse said,
Okay, you're invited too. First round on me.

Cassius rose and stalked towards the ringleader once more, his whip in hand. The ringleader wiped the seawater from his burning eyes, staring back at Cassius and the color drained from his face. Cassius regarded the whip for a moment as he walked before returning his attention to the ringleader.
Amazing how powerful a single item can make someone feel. What's truly baffling is how much faith one puts in such a simple, fragile tool.

Now standing before the ringleader at his full height, Cassius watched the scrawny man cower back in fear, visibly shaking as he had no moves left. Cassius looked down at the whip in his hand before turning it over so the handle would face the ringleader. He offered it to him without a word and waited for the man to take his weapon back. At first, the ringleader was clearly confused. He looked from the whip to Cassius and back again. Finally, he slowly reached out for the handle with his left hand. Before he could grab it however, Cassius's own hand grabbed his.
Ah, excellent. I couldn't remember if you were a righty or a lefty. The fishman said before giving the man's arm a violent twist.

The ringleader screamed as Cassius could feel his wrist and forearm snap like a twig. The man dropped to his knees in the dirt floor, cradling his arm and rocking back and forth through the tears. Cassius looked down on the man in disgust, dropping the whip at his feet. He turned, walking a few steps away before pausing and turning back to the ringleader. He reached down and seized the man's good right arm,
Just for good measure.
Cassius said, before locking eyes with the ringleader, watching him silently beg as so many abused animals had done before.

Cassius twisted and snapped.

The fishman walked away as the ringleader screamed himself unconscious.

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

As Cassius focused on his own dilemma, Jackal engaged the incoming carnies atop the Wild Beasts, who'd now be within Jackal's immediate sight, close enough for the Mink to identify the finest details of their clothing, facial expressions, and overall demeanor. A mixture of fear and anger, combined into a swirl of frustration, as the being that stood between them, and their Commander and Chief, simply gawked at them awkwardly with a grin. Extending his right arm forward, the Mink focused Electro into the palm of his hand in the form of an electrical sphere, about the size of a tennis ball. Beyond speeds that any of the incoming foes could've fathomed [4], the sphere darted towards the center of their formation, with several electrical threads left attached to the ball, funneling the electricity from the power house that was the organically generating Bandit Captain. Upping the voltage, the sphere would've expanded into a wide dome about twenty-five meters wide, which was a bit excessive in size, but it'd ensure that none of them could've escaped what came next.

As the electricity surged through the carnies bodies, the ever growing dome assumed it's final size, electrocuting anything withing it's contents that couldn't withstand the surge to nothing more than burnt carcasses. It'd happen so fast that even the carnies didn't have a chance to scream in agony, the pain was so intense, they'd instantly died upon contact. The Larger Cats furs were singed, puffed like that of a rug singed by constant friction of alien feet. The Rhino's horns snapped from the condense electrical surge, causing the beasts to fall over, as their very legs incinerated first under the discharge's guise. Cancelling the dome, the remaining of the carnies that'd watched from behind the curtains of the tent, froze in awe.

Among them was the three-eyed, and Mink from earlier that he'd tailed from the alleyway. After watching the Bandit King's handy work, all of the wild animals in their care went wild, finding any and every route possible to escape the man's presence. Descending from the tightrope above, the gymnast, a woman by the name of Jade placed a pistol to the Mink's head. "Don't be afraid boys and girls! I got him now." Jade announced. This could've been nothing but the case, Jackal sensed the woman's descent way before her feet had even touched the ground but, if he could've pretended like she had some control, it'd lure the others out. Bending onto his knees, "You've got me." Jackal stated raising his hands into the air in a comical manner.

Curious to the Mink's reasons for surrender, Dan Dan wrangled a fleeing gecko, and grabbed Sampha by the collar as they'd rushed towards the woman's aid. Among them aback a Spotted Duck and another Tiger Beast, was the blonde curly haired woman in spandex leotard who'd placed the shotgun towards Jackal's hind earlier. "Dan Dan! Let's use this chance to escape now! Something's not right about that Mink." Sampha announced, paranoid. "I know. However, you've seen his strength. If we save him, maybe we can make it out of here alive." Dan Dan murmured, lowering his voice as they'd been drawing closer to the other carnies positions. Surrounded in a circular manner, the woman on the duck pointed her shotgun towards Jackal once more.

"You know... I'm kind of getting tired of women putting guns in my face. Female Lesser Mink's seem to gander amusement in this." Jackal declared. What'd happen next would've occurred in an instance, a surge of Electro would've discharge from Jackal's shoulders, from this instance, four electric wire would've shot off. The first line severed the pistol bearer's wrist from her hand, the second impaled the shotgun wielder through her throat, causing the gun to drop onto the floor; the third and fourth impaled the carnies in their hearts, leaving Dan Dan and Sampha alive. The bodies dropped onto the floor, and at the same time, the Bandit King rose to his feet once more. "Shishishi... Among them all, you two we're the only two who didn't harbor any ill-will towards me. Read it all through my Haki. Now, Mink and Lesser Mink, do you have some kind of business with me?" Jackal inquired.

Tossing the boy to the Mink's feet, "That boy wishes to sail the seas. It's been his wish from the time he'd been enslaved to this circus!" Dan Dan shouted. Peering over his shoulder, "What's the meaning of this Dan Dan!?" Sampha retorted loudly in frustration blushing in embarrassment. "There's no place for a old cat like me who isn't equipped for travels anymore. I'm tired." Dan Dan stated. "I like you elder. However, I can't take anyone on the seas who isn't useful to-" Jackal's words were interrupted by Sampha assembling his three part staff in seconds, and placing against the Bandit King's throat. "Bite your tongue. I might not be as strong as you... but I have a dream. I'm an archaeologist. I must decode the secret's left by my ancestors in the Poneglyphs." Sampha stated. "Decode? Poneglyphs? Unless you're Three-Eyed that'd be an impossible mission." Jackal rebuttal.

Smirking Sampha began to unwrap the head band that concealed his third eye, once unveiled, it stayed clasped shut. Until with ease, opening to peer at the Bandit King along with the man's other oculars. Taking a closer look at Sampha's attire, he'd remember something that sent thrills down his spine. "That outfit... That's a Helper's Attire... Did you used to work for Santa?" Jackal inquired, as his PTSD trauma from that year brought on cold sweats. "Ah. You know him? Yes. Head Elf Javis gave these to me during my time in his care. A little odd, a Three-Eyed Man dressed as an elf isn't it." Sampha responded grinning. Hopping down off his animal, and drawing his blade in one smooth motion, Dan Dan turned his attention towards Jackal. "Bandit King. From the Family of the Jackal is it?" Dan Dan inquired, extending his blade toward's Jackal's face. "I don't have much time left. My only last wish was to see this boy garner his freedom. I request a trial. As on Zou, I wish to die in combat." Dan Dan announced. The almost default smug look on Jackal's face turned serious, as he'd knocked away the man's blade with his bare-hand.

"You know what your asking me... Dan Dan was it?" Jackal stated, glaring towards the man with murderous intent. However, the Jaguar Mink's willpower didn't falter even a bit. "I wanted to die at Ursa's hand... A Mink strong enough to carry my will. I'm an old man now... So I'm aware that I ramble a lot. If you return to Zou one day, just fulfill this one promise." Curious, "Of course. I can sense your resolve." Jackal stated, facing the man eye to eye, regardless of the difference in their heights, as the Jaguar Mink looked down into the Bandit King's eyes. "I have a son. His name is Nigel. Tell him this, 'The Family is yours now. I love you.'" Dan Dan stated, raising his blade above his head to assume his battle stance. "Stop it! I won't let you die Dan Dan!" Sampha shouted, wedging himself between the Bandit King and Dan Dan's position. "Move. Get out of the way Sampha!" Dan Dan shouted scowling.

Raising his finger, concentrating Electro at his tip, Jackal fired off an electrical beam that penetrated Sampha's through his shoulder, and pierced Dan Dan in his heart. In one fatal blow, the Mink had won the contest far before it'd even commenced. Releasing what'd just happened, Sampha spun backwards to attack the Mink in rage, but Dan Dan's last fleeting move embraced the man in his arms. Coughing up blood, the Mink whispered these words in Sampha's ears, "In our culture, this fight started the moment I drew my blade. Don't hate that man. He reminds me... of my master. Sampha. Live Strong. If anyone can take you to where you want to be... i-t-" Dan Dan said in his final words.

A loud screamed echoed throughout the tent, the only persons left were Jackal, Sampha, Cassius and his men, of the living at least. Jackal gave the Three-Eyed his time to weep, as he'd walk over to the Fishman who now had the Ring Leader's hand in his grasp. "A little souvenir for the road. I never pegged you as the sentimental type. You've gotten stronger, Cass." Jackal stated smirking.

Cassius left the ringleader broken in the dirt as he walked over towards Jackal. He noticed a small, human looking boy crying over what looked to be a dead mink. Curiosity mounted over what exactly that was, but he also knew it was none of his business. Meeting Jackal in the center of the ring, Cassius looked about at the bodies strewn about the ground. Many of the carnies were still breathing, including the ring leader, some however were not. The civilians had cleared out in a panic by this time, leaving only Jackal, Cassius, the baby Sea King, crying child and of course Cassius's men in the tent.
Well done gents, gather the tank with the Sea King. We'll return her to the water where she belongs. Round on me afterwards. Cassius said as his crew set about to the task.

Aye, much has happened since the last time we met. You clearly have a few new tricks up your sleeve as well. Cassius responded to Jackal while reaching into his jacket pocket for his pipe and sparking a light. He took a long drag on the wooden pipe, breathing in the smoke to soothe the pain that was already creeping into his bloodied hand and shoulder. Nothing a little first aid wouldn't fix back on the ship, but that didn't make the pain any less. The drinking later that night, that would take care of the pain.
Like I said, first round is on me. I'll be on Baltigo for a couple more days, wrapping up some business. Welcome to join us later tonight. Up to you, no hard feelings. I know you're a busy...Mink. Cassius said with a smile, catching himself on the proper term. With that, he turned and flashed a wave back at Jackal over his shoulder, following his men out of the tent with the tank. The Sea King bobbed merrily in the water, splashing the fishmen playfully.

Down by the docks:

Alright, off you go runt. Cassius said as his crew carefully poured the tank into the sea water. The Sea King disappeared beneath the surface before surfacing and staring up at Cassius, her head cocked to the side.
Go on, get, before one of these fishermen fools snags you and you end up a trophy on their wall. Cassius said, but the Sea King instead only stared back, blowing bubbles from her snout. At that moment, Cassius's beard ruffled and Taz poked his head out with a yawn, staring down at the baby Sea King.
Bubbles! He exclaimed, flying through the air to pop them as the Sea King blew more and more.
Oi, you were in there the whole time? Some help you were during that brawl. Cassius said, but the dwarf ignored him as he played with the Sea King.

New pet, Taz keep. Bubbles! Taz said in his broken speech as he sat atop the Sea King's head, much to the creature's amusement. Cassius scratched at the tentacles on his face, watching the two play. He mulled it over a bit before sighing,
Fine, new pet. It'll at least keep you out of my scales for a bit, gives you a new playmate. Welcome to the crew er-
Bubbles! Taz exclaimed, hugging the top of the Sea King's head.
Right, Bubbles. Cassius said, rolling his eyes, Now I definitely need a drink.

バンディットキング - Bandit King

Right and wrong is subjective, isn't it? In that case, it'd rather be wrong as many times as it takes to achieve my ideal of freedom.

The mood in the tent was similar to that of a funeral, at least for the carnies. The personages of Cassius's crew scuttled around gathering the adequate materials needed to house the tank that the Sea King was placed in.

"Shishishishi... I must give it you Cass. You never struck me as a people person. Yet you have so many crew around you... Interesting seeing this side of you." Jackal stated grinning. "I gotta keep tricks in the wing... A man like me with so many enemies after my head... A trick a day keeps the undertaker away." Jackal concluded. "It'd be down for drink... Let me just grab my latest crewmate. I know this amazing pub down by the harbor." Jackal stated.

Walking over to the Three-Eyed Archaeologist and Carny, Sampha, the Bandit King would snatch the man by the collar of his Winter Themed Sweater, and follow Cassius and his men for the next hour or so. Drinking Milk, and exchanging tales about their current activities in the world. Jackal would've filled him on his progress with Mother, his own crewmates, and any other whimsical detail that floated into the Mink's mind. It was nice to have a Conrad to drink with randomly every now and again, the pub was filled with noise and cheer, as Cassius men welcomed their latest nakama.

Spitting out his drink onto the counter, "Y-Y-You know about Pluton!?" Sampha exclaimed, partially to his own intoxication and the other half to the nature of the topic at hand. "Do you know how dangerous Ancient Weapons are... You might think that the information you've gathered so far is easily trusted but tons of those Three-Eyed Tombs your describing we're misdirecting from true history. If you want to truly acquire Pluton-" Sampha's words which we're paired with a very cocky tone was negated by the Captain running his tail along the man's exposed stomach tickling him into submission.

"This is a time of celebration. Save the knowledge for another time." Jackal stated grinning.

Exit.
