Our story begins like any other story, in a tavern in the Common Grounds of Lulusia Kingdom. Cassius is having himself a drink towards the end of the night when a strange man approaches him claiming he "is the one, the reincarnated form of the Dark Lord." Naturally Cassius waves him off as an insane drunk and returns to his drink. As the night wraps up and winds down, Cassius departs the bar only to find himself being followed by the same man and his crew of weapon-wielding loons.

After the cultists get the drop on Cassius, he wakes up in some sort of strange forest settlement in the wilderness of Greenie Pass. There, the head of the cultists explains that, due to Cassius's appearance, it is their belief that he is the reincarnated form of the god of their religion, The Dark Lord. The cultists plan to use Cassius's blood as a sacrifice to summon their Dark Lord into this plane of reality. Realizing he's currently at the mercy of complete madmen, Cassius plots his escape from the camp.

His escape plans being foiled, Cassius prepares himself for the ritual. However, when Cassius's insistence that he isn't some reincarnation of a made up god proves true, both groups are in for a gruesome surprise.
