Turf Wars
Turf Wars are the act of claiming territory ranging from a small town, to a whole island as your own piece of land under your Crew's influence and control. Claiming Turf as your own awards you or the Captain of the Crew with fixed sums of Beli periodically depending on the location and size of the Turf.

How to get Turf
To acquire Turf, though there are different levels of Turf one can claim, universally you must complete a Turf Gran Voyage with a Level that corresponds with the Level of Turf you wish to claim. Beyond completing a Turf Gran Voyage there is another requirement you must meet to claim Turf.

  • Level 1 Turf: Level 1 Turf Gran Voyage, must possess at least 10 Prestige.*
  • Level 2 Turf: Level 2 Turf Gran Voyage w/ potential Light NPCing, must possess at least 30 Prestige.
  • Level 3 Turf: Level 3 Turf Gran Voyage w/ Moderate NPCing, must possess at least 75 Prestige.

*Prestige requirement can be split amongst major participants of the Turf Gran Voyage. So two individuals with 5 Prestige can take on a Lvl 1 Turf Gran Voyage, though only one individual would gain the Turf.

All Turf Gran Voyages are open for intervention from any party, may they be a defending party or unassociated.

One should be aware that Turf Gran Voyages do not have to be violent in nature. You can very well take control of Turf in a peaceful manner should the setting call for it, but the scenario should still be realistic. Most however, will find it easiest to take over by force.

What Are Levels of Turf

  • Level 1 Turf: A small piece of the pie, equivalent to owning a town or establishing a place of "business". Site wise, you'd have a piece of a sub-forum like a small area in Mock Town as opposed to Mock Town itself. Examples include, Buggy's small sphere of influence over Orange Town and Doflamingo's Auction House on Sabaoady Archipelago.
  • Level 2 Turf: A moderate slice of pie, equivalent to establishing an organization on an island or having a sphere of influence that proceeds your character's presence itself. The maximum size is being in charge of a sub-forum like Nanohana or Mock Town. Examples include, Crocodile on Rain Base with Baroque Works and Enel on Skypiea.
  • Level 3 Turf: The whole pie. Here you have established yourself as the dominant ruling force over the island, may this just be in the form of your protection, you sit upon a throne, or just have put a figure head in place while you reap in the benefits from the background. This would be having a whole forum under your control like Sandy Island. Examples include, Doflamingo with Dressrosa or Whitebeard and now Luffy with Fishman Island.

Benefits
Benefits come once every two weeks after Turf has been acquired. Benefits are based on the Turf's Level and parameters. However, to claim said benefits and any other benefits that come from the Turf, you must supply links to at least 7 IC post every two weeks when you make your claims. Claim your benefits on your Character Page in the Development section. Each Island offers different Benefits, which can either be recurring or 1 time bonuses. 1 Time Bonuses can only be claimed once as their name suggest but could potentially be more beneficial depending on what they grant. Benefits will change depending on the state of the Island the Turf is on. Benefits can be anything from beli or crafting points to increases to influence or population which will be explained in the second part of the system. (Unique benefits can also be applied if they fit the theme of the turf or the island it's on.)

Turf DamageTurf Damage occurs when substantial damage is done to one's Turf or one's reputation. For example, if you owned Rainbase and someone destroyed half the Casino, this would be called Turf Damage. If you were defeated horribly overseas, this is also Turf Damage as your reputation has been damaged. Why this is important is because until Turf Damage is addressed ICly, one cannot be given the biweekly benefits of their Turf.

In most cases Staff will assign a reasonable repair cost if it is something that can be fixed with Beli. Whether the Turf owner decides to fix it or not is up to them, but it at least must be addressed ICly. How they deal with it can even make them lose Tiers in some Parameters they have purchased like Influence. PCs can inflict Turf Damage on other PCs and cause a direct loss in Parameters like Population or even Influence, by defaming the owner. Turf Damage is a great way of weakening one's Turf before plotting on taking it over.

  • You yourself can own a maximum of 3 Pieces of Turf.

Upgrading Turf
In this part of the Turf System, we'll go over three topics, Statuses of Islands, Turf Upgrades, and Island Capacity.

Island Status
Islands have statuses, that range from Claimed, Unclaimed, or Stabilized. Should an area be Stabilized unless it is through an Event, the area cannot be claimed as someone's Turf. This is usually the case for government controlled islands like Marineford. Claimed means someone, PC or NPC, has claimed this area as a Turf and is in charge. Unclaimed means that no specific person is in charge and the inhabitants of the Island just live life.

Upgrading Turf
In this section you'll find information about the parameters of a piece of Turf. You'll see that Level 3 Turfs have large array of things that they can upgrade since they have a whole island under their thumb. These upgrades costs Beli and all of these stats will be tracked on the Island's "Area Description".

Islands already come with these parameters at certain levels. This gives the player more details about Islands. Should the Island be claimed as Level 3 Turf, some of the upgrades will remain, but sometimes some will be diminished as the side effect of a change in leadership and chaos.

These levels will suggest how difficult it will be to take over certain islands as opposed to others. For example if an Island has a high Tier population and Army, then taking it over will be more difficult.

Parameters
These are the aspects of Turf that can be upgraded. Level 1 and 2 Turfs can only make use of Influence, though the pre-existing parameters the Turf possessed prior to being claimed will remain. They will not reap any monetary benefits however. Level 1 and 2 Turfs (subforums) w/o parameters listed, are will have the parameters established by the Level 3 Turf (Island) they fall under. Technology, housing, etc. The Army and Weaponry level will be regarded as 1 Tier lower, minimum Tier 1, however. The details of the parameters go to show what resources PCs have at their disposal when they are in charge. NPCs will not be held to the same amount of resources a PC in charge would have and will often have more at their direct disposal.

  • Influence- Influence denotes how much pull you have over those in your sphere of control. The more influence you have the more things will go your way in the area you control. The citizens will like you more and you'll receive a larger Beli reward when time for your biweekly payment comes. Your other parameters cannot exceed the Tier of your Influence.

    • Tier 1 - Grants owner +500,000 BiWeekly -  Cost 5,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - Grants owner +1,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 10,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 3 - Grants owner +5,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 20,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 4 - Grants owner +15,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 50,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 5 - Grants owner +25,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 85,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 6 - Grants owner +50,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 150,000,000 Beli

Level 1 Turf Influence Caps at Tier 3. Level 2 Turf Influence Caps at Tier 4.

  • Population- Population entails the amount of people that inhabit your Island. Regardless of your affiliation, these people are civilians and unaffiliated, though they can of course benefit from your actions. There are no specific numbers given, just be aware population increases as the Tier does. A population of 0 means the Island is mostly uninhabited. More Population nets you more Beli when time for your BiWeekly payment for owning Turf arrives.

    • Tier 1 - Grants owner +500,000 BiWeekly -  Cost 5,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - Grants owner +1,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 10,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 3 - Grants owner +5,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 20,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 4 - Grants owner +15,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 50,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 5 - Grants owner +25,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 85,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 6 - Grants owner +50,000,000 BiWeekly - Cost 150,000,000 Beli

  • Housing - Housing deals with the level of housing for the civilians on your Island. The higher the tier of the housing the stronger the materials structures on your Island are crafted from and the more advanced the housing is.

    • Tier 1 - Huts|TeePees|Caves|Environmental Housing - Cost 5,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - Basic Wooden Homes|Log Cabins - Cost 5,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 3 - Stone/Brick Wall Homes form Towns - Cost 25,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 4 - Larger Towns with a few Estates - Cost 50,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 5 - Singular Castle surrounded by a City on the Island - Cost 100,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 6 - A few Castles and Cities span the flourishing Island - Cost 500,000,000 Beli

  • Army - The Army size naturally directly correlates with your population, but it must be paid for separately. The Tier of an Army maxes out at 1 Tier lower than your Population. Once the Population reaches Tier 6, the Army can then be equivalent to the Population. NPCs are made by the owner of the Island, but they must remain on the Island.

    • Tier 1 - 50 Grunt Militia Men - Cost 15,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - 100 Grunt Militia Men - Cost 25,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 3 - 150 Grunt Militia Men - Cost 50,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 4 - 200 Grunt Militia Men|+1 NPC Officer - Cost 75,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 5 - 500 Grunt Militia Men|+2 NPC Officers - Cost 125,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 6 - 1,000 Grunt Militia Men|+2 NPC Officer - Cost 250,000,000 Beli

  • Weaponry - Weaponry deal with the type of weapons your Army has at their disposal. All the men in your Army may be armed with the corresponding weapons. This also deals with your port defense and land mounted defenses.

    • Tier 1 - Cavemen Styled Weapons - Cost 5,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - Iron Medieval Weapons - Cost 10,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 3 - Steel Medieval Weapons - Cost 20,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 4 - Pistols and Rifles Firearms - Cost 50,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 5 - +25 Land Mounted Cannons* - Cost 75,000,000
    • Tier 6 - +25 Land Mounted Cannons* - Cost 85,000,000

*Buyers choice as to what Cannons are present, but they must be registered if they aren't default.

  • Technology - Technology covers how advanced the utilities are on your island. Having no Technology Tier leaves the Island using fire for things like lighting and open fire cooking, etc.

    • Tier 1 - Dial Based (Inhabitants rely on Dials for things like Air Conditioning, lights, cooking, music, etc.) - Cost 15,000,000 Beli
    • Tier 2 - Den Den Mushi Routing (Routes Den Den Mushi to major facilities on your island like jails, your headquarters, and Den Den Mushi post in common areas to issue alerts.) - Cost 25,000,000 Beli

  • Miscellaneous - Miscellaneous includes things that aren't listed above. Their pricing is based on the thing it is you are requesting. Maybe you want a large steel wall surrounding your Island or maybe something unique like it always rains. This is where Miscellaneous comes into play. You can only make 6 Miscellaneous upgrades to an Island.

Island Capacity

  • There are no limits to Level 1 turfs on islands.
  • A maximum of three Level 2 turfs can exist per island, and only one owner of the single Level 3 turf that is the island.

Purchasing Upgrades
Purchasing Upgrades is done in your Character's Shop page. Should you be applying for a Miscellaneous upgrade, it will be priced according to the request. Each Tier must be purchased, meaning you cannot skip from Tier 0 to Tier 6, you must pay for each Tier. Use the following template to make Turf related Purchases.
