Invention Name:
Invention Class: (A, B or C etc.)
Invention Description: (Please be precise on dimensions, size, colour and shapes. This section is strictly for the appearance of the invention. This does not focus on the effect of invention.)
Crafting Points: (This deals with how many Crafting Points went into the initial craft. This section can also be used to upgrade your Craft. Just pay the difference between the Letter Tiers.)
Invention Capabilities: (For basic makes like swords, this wouldn't be necessary unless creating Meito's. This would be the area where Metio effects should be listed in list type format preferably. Clothes, Medicines, Consumables such as food should all have a) Duration, b) Serving Size (use once, use twice e.g. Cookies one consumption, Fried King Fishes would be served twice.) and c) Side Effects (optional). Lower graded drugs wouldn't have side effects however, but higher graded, (Above Class C) should. Any other information you believe is relevant should be stated here.

Invention Description: A very thin sheet of fabric approximately 3m x 3m, able to be dyed.
Crafting Points: 10
Invention Capabilities: Intended for use as a supplement for clothing, duracloth was designed to resist the effects of slices, slashes, and cuts by way of interweaving steel fiber into a rayon based design. Being relatively inexpensive to make, it's properties are not yet pronounced, being less durable than your common steel armor. However, it makes up for this inadequacy with it's flexibility and comfort, being able to be made into comfortable and stylish clothing while offering minor protection. [Areas covered by Duracloth reduces damage caused by bladed weapons by one stage, and is destroyed by damage that is moderate or greater.]

Invention Class: D- Wazamono [Co-craft blacksmith/scientist]
Invention Description:
Appearance :

A 6 foot long blade with a 3 foot long handle, for a total of 9 ft in length. The blade portion is approximately 1 inch in width. Long lengths of ribbon-like fabric are wrapped around the grip, approximately 20 feet of fabric in total.
Crafting Points: 10 [9 with 10% discount]
Invention Capabilities: The blade being personally designed to match Noctis' fighting style, the metal of the blade uses a steel alloy created by Noctis and shaped by Devroux into a weapon. Despite it's size, it's surprisingly light, able to be wielded in one hand with relative ease.

One thing is doesn't fall solely in the Scientist occupation, additionally it doesn't strike me as simple enough to be a D-Class Invention based on the methods used to create it. D-Class Inventions should use Novice level methods.

By increasing the ratio of carbon to iron in the metallurgic process, the blade it incredibly light while maintaining it's durability, allowing it to be used one handed or swinging it from the fabric of the grip like a flail. Beyond that, it's capabilities are simply that of a common-grade wazamono.
The intricacies you put into these are what's making them not qualify as D-Class. The weapon itself is fine, but you're doing a lot in the fluff areas that's making it too complex for D-Class. Also denied.

Materials science is still science. Metallurgy is not the same as metal smithing. The methods used to create it should be what, exactly? The complexity of the methods isn't exactly clear, and anything in the scientist occupation is going to sound complex at almost all levels. It's a weave using two materials that would require scientific knowledge to obtain.

Also, how is making a D-Rank weapon lighter offer up any benefit other than flavor? Would you rather someone have a heavy weapon they can toss around? I literally described the metallurgic process behind making steel, the simplest concept in metallurgic science, which is using carbon and iron to make steel. So what I'm reading is that making steel is too complex, which spells bad news for blacksmiths.

At Class-D you are projected to be making the most basic equipment. I get that this crafting process is like a recipe and you take from ingredients and balance it out by replacing it with other ingredients, but for a NOVICE that is just getting his hands in the process, that is too much.

As a NOVICE you'd get the recipe for the cake and make a basic cake that follows the recipe. As a NOVICE you wouldn't start altering the recipe and making it your own YET.

I'm aware it's flavor of text that offers no IC benefit, thus why i called it "fluff". I'm not dumb, but even if it's flavor of text it doesn't mean it still doesn't have to be within the guidelines fo what is viable as a NOVICE.

I will admit that I see fault in the fabric creation grading cuz I had no idea what Metallurgy was, so 1/2. I do stand by my denial on the weapon. Literally just remove all the extra tid bit about the alloys and changing the iron to carbon ratio, etc say something like "despite it's size it's surprisingly light" or something silly. ->revamps whole occupation in support thread

Invention Description:
Appearance :
The stone is small at only two inches wide; able to fit snugly in the palm of ones hand. While the stone is naturally sharp, it cannot break the skin without excessive force.
Crafting Points: 10
Invention Capabilities: When struck against steel or similar metal, sparks are released capable of igniting flammable gasses or liquids. Being a brittle material, the stone splinters apart rapidly before becoming unusable after three strikes.

Invention Name: Rokumori Gas
Invention Class: D
Invention Description: A deep purple gas that in high concentrations darkens to near black. The gas itself is denser than air, causing it to stay fairly lumped together and sink to the ground when isolated and not manipulated.
Crafting Points: 10 [One time craft]
Invention Capabilities: A fairly basic creation, Rokumori is Noctis' first take on a custom gas to utilize with his Gasu Gasu no Mi abilities. Drawn from constituent parts of the air, Rokumori Gas is a flammable toxin that acts as an irritant much like tear gas. This irritation stems from a much more severe effect, which is cell death over a lengthy period of consistent exposure.

@Noctis What's the average of the gas once applied, or is it combination with your Skill? What's the average effect, does it target blind those with lower endurance, if so, what's the base throughput of something like this. Most importantly, how long do these effects stay into play?

Invention Class: D
Invention Description: 3x3m square of heavy fabric, able to be dyed.
Crafting Points: 10
Invention Capabilities: Extinguishing cloth is a fire-retardant material and fabric able to resist extreme temperatures. The cloth is able to reduce damage taken from heat by one tier and is destroyed outright by any source of heat stronger than 4 power.

Invention Name: Pressure Vessel
Invention Class: D
Invention Description:

Crafting Points: 10
Invention Capabilities: A simple container made from a steel designed to withstand high pressure. This container is capable of containing up to 3 turns worth of Noctis' gas generation before reaching it's pressure limit. Otherwise functions as a standard steel vessel, able to be broken and ruptured.
