1 The Phantom Raiders in: Defending the Charon on Sun May 13, 2018 9:54 pm

Part One: Reunited.

Sweat dripped out of the hair of Mashyuu's head. His brows furrowed with annoyance and the only form of a shirt he wore was the chain armor of white pearl he had crafted just a day ago. He had flown most of the way back, daring to go high enough into the sky that he could see the Charion and likely reveal himself to Quaid and his slavers. Luckily for Mashyuu, the group of Slavers didn't seem to come for him in his weakened state. Once his wings had gotten too tired to carry him further, Mashyuu walked...

To Mashyuu it seemed like an eternity that he was carrying the brown backpack with the folded forge and small pieces of ore he collected on his shoulders, slowing his forward motion with each step he took, but in reality it had only taken an hour or so before Mashyuu finally came to the large vessel that was the Charion. Weakly he stumbled down to his knees and leaned against the cool wood of the ship, his arms spread out over it and a smile spread over his face. "It's so good to see you! You have no idea you beautiful ship." Mashyuu whispered to himself mostly while drawing deep breaths of air.

After he regained his strength, Mashyuu flew up to the top deck of the ship and touched down. Loudly stomping his feet with each step to warn anyone, mostly Harley that he had returned. "Oi!! I'm home! Harley! I need a sandwich or something!" He called out as he neared the trap door to the second deck of the ship. Just as he went to grab the door and open it, the portal swung up and smashed into Mashyuu's face hard, knocking the man back several steps before he tripped over himself and crashed down with a thud. "Who the hell are you to order me around for a sandwich!!?? You left me here with Dai. I- We've been worried sick about you two!" Harley shouted as she stormed up to the top deck of the ship.

Mashyuu rubbed his face rapidly with one hand while pushing himself up with the other. "I knew you cared about me.. Wait, did you say Dai didn't leave after me and Yuurei? Is he okay?" Mashyuu asked while Harley helped him up after she saw him barely sitting up. "Seems a little upset and mopey. I've been giving him space. Where have you been?" Harley asked. Mashyuu patted the pack on his back that had a ton of loot in it and smiled. "Got beaten up by a group of slavers, found a temple of gold and made some armor. Just the normal stuff." Mashyuu chuckled but Harley didn't seem pleased. "Alright Captain, lets get you below deck and I'll make sure you're not banged up too bad. Then I'll get Dai." Together the pair walked down the steps to the second deck and Mashyuu let Harley make sure he was fine.

Dai sat within the confines of his room a barrel of ale tipped over and tapped ready to be used and drunk. He had already had a few drinks as he sat with in the continues of his room. He just sat up against the wall of the ship staring forward his eyes glazed over. Going over each and every moment inside his mind of what had happened earlier. Tears continued to roll down his eyes as he absentmindedly sipped on his drink. He was somewhat dead to the world except for his hearing just the images of his friend Octavia ever flowing before his eyes of both good times and of the tragic recent events.

Shusui lay next to him atop the covers as he continued to sip absentmindedly. He reached down his shirt and pulled off the necklace he always kept.  The cold feel of metal broke him from his trance as he looked down wiping away at his tears from his face. He stared long and hard into the aged silver crab shell-shaped locket and was about to click it open when he heard the unmistakable sound of his captain voice as he trounced loudly across the deck of the ship. He needed to drown him out he wasn't exactly good company at the moment. He wondered if anyone had informed him of his friends passing.

He highly doubted it but perhaps they would mention about the added cargo to the ship and the locked freezer on the third floor. He gritted his teeth as images of Octavia's tear-filled face pushed him back just as he collar had activated. Once again he grits his teeth angrily and slowly began to breathe heavily as he swore loudly"God fucking damn it, it's not RIGHT!" As he threw his cup across his room against the opposite wall. Panting heavily he looked down at his hand and clicked open the locket.

He slowed his breath as the gears began to whirl and a sad but at the same time, a soothing yet mournful melody began to reverberate around the walls of his cabin gently trickling under his door and out to the hallway. The little locket was surprisingly loud eventually the music would slip reverberate and echo through the second floor of the halls of the ship. He remained silent letting the melody try and take him back to a happy black back to better days. He was ashamed of himself he couldn't do anything to help his friend no that wasn't right she was more than a friend she was a member of his new family.  He was going to exact his revenge even if he had to kill ever last slaver on skypeia he would have vengeance for Octavia. the song would repeat once again before slowly clicking to a stop. Dai would look down at the locket and wind it again and listen to his song.

Locket song dai is listening to

A day had only passed since Yuurei had gotten back to the ship, and he had left that same day. He had seen his friend go through an emotional rollercoaster, and he knew that the ride wasn’t finished. Still, he couldn’t be the person to be leaned against with a situation like that. It was why when he seen Daimaru go into the ship he didn’t say anything about it. Instead he and Gideon had left the ship, and decided to go on their own adventure. What kind of adventure would probably be heard through Skypiea at one point, or another, and when they got back to the Grandlines things would be different as well. Still, Yuurei would only come back to the ship with wounds that weren’t noticeable as it would have either been checked on by Jade the doctor in Angel Island, or he obtained minimal damage from his the battle that he had yesterday.

Still, the people who had come with Yuurei onto this ship were residing in different rooms. They were left behind when Yuurei had gone off on his adventure. Koneko had been left behind, but she had fixed any little broken thing the ship had. She as on top of her game, and she had been ever since she had seen this ship. The grunts stood in their room, or they were hanging out in another person’s room. They could hear yelling coming from the deck, but chose to ignore it, since they could tell it wasn’t Yuurei. The mink on the other hand heard this, and she didn’t know who it was, so she ran up the stairs thinking it would be Yuurei. She wasn’t really upset that she was left on the ship, but she had wished that he had told her. When she had gotten through the levels of the ship, she had come to pause of Harley, and Mashyuu. She blinked a few times annoyed, and anxious that the person in front of her wasn’t Yuurei.

”Have you seen Yuure-sama, nya?” she asked. She didn’t know if that was Mashyuu, or if this man was another crew member that Yuurei didn’t mention. Yuurei was with Gideon, and they weren’t too far from the ship right now. The pirate would actually be walking on the floor as he was leading the way to the ship. He had good memory on where the ship was located, so he figured leading the way would be for the best. Of course, Yuurei was wearing different clothing, then the blue ones that he had on the ship. There was a reason to that, and it was because he was a wanted man on Angel Island, and just Skypiea in general. His hair had been slicked back, and his eyepatch wasn’t on his face. He wore the white robe the people on this island wore, but he still carried the swords that were around his sash. The day was a good one though, and while he was walking he would close his eyes every now and then, and inhale the amazing air this island had to offer.

When the ship had come into sight, he could only smile because he was hoping this would be the time where Mashyuu would actually be present. He had people that he needed to introduce him to, and he wasn’t there yesterday. As he continued to get closer to the ship though, he could feel the presence of a familiar person. He had felt Harley on the ship yesterday, but figured she was too busy to be bother, but now he could feel Mashyuu’s as well. He had a little smirk on his face as he continued to walk with the big man behind him. ”Well I guess today is the day you meet Mashyuu Gideon. He is finally on the ship, but I think Koneko bumped into him, and Harley as well,” he chuckled as he wasn’t sure how that was going to go. When he got to the ship, he had walked on the gangplank to get on the ship, and he knew it was strong enough for Gideon to walk on it as well.

When he got on the ship, he stood on the deck, and placed his hands around his mouth as he figured he would get the captain’s attention. Daimaru presence was located around his room, and he figured that the man was still trying to destroy himself with alcohol. ”Mashyuu! You slick man! Now you arrive on the ship, when I’m not here! I got a few a people for you to meet, and one of them is in front of you!” he shouted this really loud, so that way everybody could hear him. Koneko’s ear twitch when she heard this voice, and now that she was closer to the deck she had definitely knew it was Yuurei’s voice. She got onto all fours this time, and rushed right pass Mashyuu as she was heading her way to the deck. When she got to the deck she would see Yuurei, and of course Gideon, but her eyes were strictly on Yuurei.

”Why did you leave me behind again Yuurei? You don’t learn that I don’t want you to leave me while you go and crazy stuff, nya?” she said to him with a bit of sadness in her voice. He could only feel bad about this as he looked down on the deck’s floor as he rubbed the back of his head. ”Sorry about that Koneko. I didn’t want you to come because it was too dangerous, and I felt like if I brought you with me, then you might have died, or gotten badly injured,” he explained to her as he walked over to her. When he got to her he would pat her head, and she would just let it happen as her tail would wag uncontrollably. She couldn’t be angry with him, and she was happy that he didn’t just abandon her, but didn’t want something bad to happen to her. She did have fun on the ship while he was gone anyways.

She wasn’t the only person who had started moving; the wing-folks that were on the ship, had stopped what they were doing, and made their way towards the deck of the ship. The grunts would either get to the deck of the ship by passing Mashyuu as well, or would show up and see the captain, if turned around to go see Yuurei. They would fly their way through the ship, and make their way to the deck, and plant their feet on the ground as they would be pleased to see that their captain had returned to the ship alive. They knew he was a crazy man, and that he had done a lot of crazy things for the swords that he loved.

Gideon walked along side Yuurei, every so often he would shrug his shoulder where it was bandaged, the pain was still lingering like other wounds he had throughout his body, though he didn't worry much about them, given that he's been patched up. His jacket was shredded, the rest of his cloths, torn, but he was satisfied that he and Yuurei had come out alive, though he didn't get the amount of information that he desired.

His left hand gripped his fannypack, it's straps broken, his right hand held Jormungandr by the handle and it's blunt side rested on the giant's shoulder. His stomach growled, hunger was now in his mind along side recipes.

"The captain?" Gideon recognized the name Yuurei had given. If the captain was aboard, that means he'll have to be given a formal greeting. Gideon began to feel nervous, but his hunger was strong enough to stay, unswayed.

Seeing the Charion, as he heard the ship being called, brought him peace. Gideon breathed out a sigh as he walked upon the gangplank and onto the ship. Yuurei bellowed his call to the captain and no sooner than a few seconds, Kenoko arrived, nearly pouncing on Yuurei. Gideon dropped his fannypack, which was the size of a small rowboat, then placed Jormungandr leaning against the main mast, the sword was monstrous, with ridged teeth and with a size reaching three stories. The giant took a moment to sit upon the deck, leaning against the mast as well. Looking about the large ship, Gideon felt small, which surprisingly felt comfortable, like he was part of the crew, like he could close his eyes without worry.

His stomach growled again, keeping him from taking his nap, "Oi, Yuurei, what do you think the crew wants for a meal?" he asked. Surely it was his hunger that brought up the question, but Gideon wanted to impress the crew, especially the captain. Then his thoughts went to Daimaru and how he might still be upset. The giant wanted to make sure the sharkman was enjoying himself with his crew as well, nobody should be left out.

There was a moment Gideon could have sworn he heard a soft lullaby tune being played.

"Who the hell are you!?" Mashyuu asked the neko that stood before him, blocking his way to the bottom of the steps. Harley placed a hand on Mashyuu's shoulder and gave him an almost annoyed smile, as if the recent events of having to look after all these new people was a strain on her. "Yuurei rescued some people. Most of them are like you but she was in the group too. This is Koneko." Harley gestured towards the woman and pushed past her, going to set up her lab.

On the way down Harley heard the song being played in Dai's room and a frown creased her lips. She tried to stay neutral to everything but these people were her family now and she needed to support them the way they would have supported her. Mashyuu had walked to the ship just fine and seemed okay aside from maybe needing to drink more water. Harley made her way over to Dai's room, her red dress swaying with each step. The moment she stopped, her knuckles rapt against Dai's door just hard enough to be heard over the music that was playing. "Dai... It sounds like everyone is back. I can hear people moving to greet Yuurei now. It might be a good time to come tell everyone what's going on. None of us would be against helping you however we can.... If you need me, I'll be in my office." Harley gently stated with her head leaned against the cool wood of his door then pushed off and went to prep the med room.

"... Can't say I have, I'm Captain Mashyuu. Are you planning on staying on the ship long?" He asked, having no idea that the attractive cat girl was the crews new Shipwright. That was when Mashyuu heard the shaking steps of a giant and started to turn only to see Yuurei and a massive monster of a man behind him. "... ... Yuurei... there is a Giant behind you, and a Neko on the ship. What the hell did you guys do while I was gone? For real, it's only been a hand full of days." Mashyuu pinched the bridge of his nose and reached for the glasses he normally kept in his pocket, only to realize that they had broken a few days ago and that he had tossed them aside.

Mashyuu listened for the explanation while even more people came to greet Yuurei and the giant that Mashyuu hadn't gotten the name of yet. "Fine... Nothing can be done about it now. These people were in trouble and you helped them. Just remember we are pirates and shouldn't be doing anything for free. You say these two are joining the crew?.... If you trust their skills I have no reason not to. But a word of advice. The next time a woman wants to go do something with you, let her. It will make life easier on you over all." Mashyuu folded his arms across his chest and took a step up to the main deck and looked at everyone with a stern look, trying to size them all up.

A shipwright is someone we would need eventually, as is a cook. I have no idea how a giant is supposed to sleep here though. Do Giants actually even sleep? Doesn't matter. Just be the Captain for now, figure everything else out later. He thought to himself and nodded his head, the black locks of hair atop his head fell to mask his eyes for just a moment. "Alright, listen up. My name is Captain Mashyuu Ishi. Yuurei brought you here because he thought some of you would make good additions to the Phantom Raiders. I understand that Skypiea is currently a slave nation. But I'm here to say that we are going to stop that. You can either stay here or go into hiding somewhere else. I know of a slaver's home near by that has more slaves in need of rescue. Once I deal with those men, you're welcome to take that land as your new home. Until then, you're going to follow my orders and pull your weight. I won't suffer slackers here. Gideon, Koneko. It's good to have you on board.. Now lets get someone in the crows nest to keep a look out in case of danger. Yuurei, someone get Harley and Dai. I want to see the core crew in the meeting hall for a talk about what our next move is." Mashyuu ordered, keeping his tone very neutral and the look on his face about as friendly as someone who needed to take charge could. With a quick series of gestures from his arms, Mashyuu spun on his heel and walked across the deck to the meeting hall that would have normally served as the "Captain's Quarters" but was simply too big to not be used for a meeting room.

Dai continued to sit in his room repeatedly playing the song on his locket once again until he closed the lid on it. He sighed and shook his head as he placed the necklace back around his neck. He stifled a cough as he slowly got up from his bed and went and grabbed a towel from his drawer and began to clean up the thrown cup of ales contents. He sighed as he got down on all fours and began to soak up the ale his mind half here in the real world while the rest of him was still reliving yesterdays events.

He just could not shake this uneasiness and grief. He was afraid similar fates had happ0ened to his friends that had been captured. He had no idea what their fates were, Normally he was a calm and collected individual but at the moment he was a mess. He sighed as he finished cleaning up the spill and turned his head as he heard what sounded like a monstrous growl atop the ship. Yet at the same time, he knew that sound it was the sound of an empty stomach. Only one person had a large enough stomach to make that sound and it was their new cook Gideon. He heard the sound of a knock on his door and he heard a familiar voice address him. He remained silent as he listened to
her speak to him.

He sniffled and slowly got up from his cleaning for a moment and walked over to his dresser and pulled out 3 baby den den mushis and a vision dial. He walked slowly to his door and opened it however he remained hidden behind the door and pushed the baby den den mushis and vision dial through the door. He closed the door behind him and only said this. "Give those to everyone and give the dial to Yuurei it's for our mission, i.. don't want them to see me like this its shameful."He wanted to go out to the crew but at the same time, he could not bring himself to do it.

He was ashamed of his grief and didn't want anyone to see him like this. As he slowly got to his feet there was a small clunk at his feet. He looked down and saw on the ground the conch tone dial he had brought with him from Fishman Island. he smirked as he gently bent down and picked it up. Inside was a song his mother had sung to him as a child. a happier memory from an otherwise darker childhood from his true family. He would remain in the confines of his room, for now, to wallow away. He sighed as his own stomach growled hungrily and he shook his head and returned to his bed placing the tone dial on the little bedside drawer beside his desk and rolled over onto his side.

Yuurei had nodded when he heard Gideon’s words. He didn’t say anything to his friend their whole walk back about anything he said. When Konkeo saw that Gideon was leaning on the mast, she had walked over to the young man with a puffy look to her cheeks. She was not happy that he was leaning on the mast, and was hoping that he didn’t somehow break the damn thing. ”You better not destroy the mass Gideon. If you do, then we are screwed, and I won’t forgive you, nya,” she said this as her tail was stiffened upward and she looked like she wanted to jump on him, and scratch him. Yuurei had heard Koneko, and even heard Gideon speak; he was surprised that Gideon would ask that, but it was a question he couldn’t really give an answer to. He rubbed the back of his head as he was thinking about what the others would like to eat, but he had come up with no answers.

”I don’t know what the others would want, but I’m simple. I want burgers, fries, and rice balls. As for everyone else I’m not sure,” he said placing his hand down to his side. Koneko heard eating, and her once straighten up tail had begun to wag back and forth. ”Fish. I love fish, Nya,” she said raising her hand up into the air with excitement about the thought of eating now. The grunts looked at each other and murmured with each other trying to figure out what they would eat. ”We are good with the same for Yuurei’s eating,” they agreed on this as they figured they would learn to eat these things that the thief was used to eating. Koneko had thought about the guy who was down below, and she figured that she would address that to Yuurei now that she remembered. ”There is a man down below with the Doctor, nya,” she said making her way over to Yuurei with a happy smile because he was back and around.

Yuurei heard this, and he figured that she had definitely met Mashyuu, but probably ignored him. ”That was probably the captain Koneko,” he said to her as she just looked at him as if she didn’t get what he said. Yuurei heard Mashyuu’s words soon enough as the man appeared, which probably had to do with the giant moving around the ship and settling down. He smiled, and chuckled a little bit when he seen Mashyuu’s face to the fact that there was a giant on the ship. The thief figured this was the perfect timing to introduce everybody to their captain. ”Well now that you are finally here. Now it’s time for you to meet these two; this right here is Gideon. A giant that I met through my travels on Angel Island. We went on a few adventures with each other, and I offered him a spot on the crew as the cook. Man can here cook,” he said as he pointed at Gideon figuring he would say something.

When he was done with that he had looked over to Koneko. ”I’m sure since you saw her with Harley, she told you that Koneko is our shipwright. It seems like she is a little obsess with ships, but I didn’t know this until we got her here. I found her in a Battle City, which is through the Ordeal of Irons. I had killed the guy called Father there, but that is a story you can ask about later, or when we’re alone,” he said as he pointed at Koneko as she smiled. ”Nice to meet you Mashyuu, Yuurei-sama speaks good about you, nya,” she said wagging her tail still about the food. ”And these people here, decided to keep following me after I also save them from the Battle City,” he said as he introduced the five winged-folks. When he heard the advice that Mashyuu had given them about females, he could only laugh at that. He could only imagine Harley getting angry at him for not bringing her along.

Yuurei heard Mashyuu giving out orders, and he listened to every one of them that came out of his mouth. He looked at four of the grunts that were hanging out there. ”I want you guys to go to the crow’s nest together. I want you guys to look in separation direction, so that way you guys don’t miss anything in particular,” he told them as they flew into the air, and into the crow’s nest together. Then he looked at the last one; ”I want you to go to and tell Dai, and Harley, that Mashyuu wants them at the Captain’s Quarter now for a meeting,” he said and the man nodded as he had soon gone down below. He noticed that Mashyuu was on the move to the Captain’s Quarter, and soon he would follow. Koneko would do the same, and he figured Gideon would have to wait a little longer before they could eat.

”So, is there anything in particular you want to know about what’s happen to me while we weren’t together? I know I want to know what you been up to, but it probably has something to do with the slave owners,” he said as he would have wanted to know more details. Still, when he said that he only followed Mashyuu and would answer anything he asked before they got into the Captain’s Quarter. Of course when they would get there, Yuurei would take a seat next to Mashyuu, and Koneko would just lean on Yuurei’s back happily.

Gideon looked up to see a tall winged being... well, tall compared to the average winged person. He looked exhausted and roughed up, seems the captain had his own problems he had to deal with. After a moment between the minks and Yuurei, Yuurei had introduced the new additions to Mashiyuu, to which the Gideon stood up and gave a slight bow, "Gideon Wodan" he gave his name properly.

A moment later, Captain Mashiyuu gave a speech towards the entire ship. Gideon nodded as he listened to the statement. He wasn't interested in the home, for now that he was apart of the crew, he wasn't expected to be stationed. After that, the captain headed indoors to which everyone began following and piling in, to Gideon's inconvenience, he won't be able to enter. Though he did his best to attend the meeting by laying upon his belly and peering in through the open doorway to view the large meeting hall within, though surprisingly to Gideon it seemed like an oversized living quarters, though small to him.

A low growl from Gideon's belly reminded him he was still hungry, but he had to put that thought to the side because of the importance of the meeting. Joining the crew within the first moment and he was already part of a mission, or at least hoped he was a part of the mission. He wanted to help; the thought of Skypiea being a slaver's region, is a disgusting thought. Dai's friends had been taken and right now the sharkman might be in his quarters still mourning. Would he be able to attend the meeting?

View user profile

Mashyuu stopped at the door and turned to look at Yuurei and Koneko. "I'll tell you all about it later. Umm...Shit he's not gonna fit in here. Gideon, move around to the back of the ship and I'll open some of the windows so that you can be comfortable and add your peace as well... You should really find a way to shrink yourself. Maybe we can find a doctor or scientist to create a shrink pill or ray so that you can fit in." Mashyuu suggested.

The Pirate Captain stepped into the meeting hall and made a B-Line straight for the back windows and started to throw them all open for the Giant. Once the windows were open Mashyuu made sure he sat so that there was a space where everyone could see Gideon, with Yuurei at Mashyuu's flank, waiting for the others to arrive.

Harley gathered the gear that Dai had given her but didn't accept the fact that he wasn't coming. The moment that one of the grunts came to get them Harley shot the man a death glare. "Mashyuu and the others can wait a damned minute. Get lost." Harley snapped while placing the baby den den's and the dial in the pockets on her dress. "Dai. I know it's hard... But staying cooped up in there isn't good for you. You need sunlight, food, and positive thinking. The others won't be happy that you're not at the meeting. You're a part of this crew and family. Don't forget that." Harley nearly shouted from her heart then turned and stormed off to join the meeting.

She entered the meeting room and Harley offered everyone a smile for a moment and sat down next to Mashyuu so that now everyone aside from Dai was present. "Dai won't be joining us. He's had a bit of bad luck but has given us these..." She withdrew the den dens from her pocket and passed one out to everyone who needed it, Mashyuu and Yuurei, then reached one out to Gideon from the open window near her. "And Yuurei, this dial is for you too." Mashyuu looked at the den den and placed it as his side then turned it on to call Dai. "Alright... This meeting is starting. It's simply to talk about what's been going on and seeing what we have learned as a group. I headed to my old home, Quinn isn't there anymore but one of his lieutenants is. He has a fairly good sized group of slaves there and a large force. I faced off against fourteen of them. When I fought their boss, he used a strange set of brass knuckles that had a shell on them. The impact was terrible, I think it would have done real damage to my organs if I hadn't managed to escape. From there I headed into a jungle and found a city of gold. Faced some guardians, made some friends and found a fruit. It might be a devil fruit, it might not be but I haven't eaten it yet. I want more info first. Then I found a cave and a diagram explaining how to make this armor here... The armor is light due to the ore used to make it. Oh and I found this.." Mashyuu pulled the backpack off his shoulder and placed it on the table. He opened the sack and placed the fruit on the table, along with the box that was a forge. "It's a forge so I can craft armors and weapons for everyone. I just need metals to forge with. So if anyone happens upon them bring them to me. Yuurei, Dai, Gideon, give me an update on what you guys have been dealing with and we can make a decision from there. But we need to deal with Quaid, the Slaver I was talking about, before we do anything else." Mashyuu sat down at the table and looked at everyone then gestured for the cat girl to sit.

Dai had heard Harley's words as he rolled over onto his side. Depression ever creeping upon him. His eyes had large bags under them. He hadn't eaten or slept since the incident. However, her words did ring true in his heart and his once glazed over eyes slowly began to clear up. What did she know about losing family whatdo they know about losing someone precious to them that has been lost for a decade'? A voice spoke inside his head. It was his own voice that echoed within him while a second one spoke. Once again it was his own voice yet it was as when he was a child. 'She is right you know you are apart of a crew a new family.' Just as quickly as it spoke it vanished.

He stirred slightly and rolled onto his back. placing his right arm over his eyes as he slowly breathed in. was he perhaps going mad from grief having conversations with himself inside his head? He didn't know how long he lay there nor did he really care. That is until the last den den mushi he had kept for himself started to go off. He growled as he tried to place the pillow over his ears to try and ignore the ringing. Curiosity, however, had gotten the better of him as he wondered who was calling him.

Which one of the crew would be calling could it have been the captain, no it couldn't have been him. He didn't know what had happened to dai, perhaps it was yuurei. That young thief was awfully kind to him and he was starting to grow a bit of a soft spot in his heart for him. Perhaps it was the giant cook calling to ask for a food order. His stomach once again growled hungrily as he placed his webbed hand on it. The incessant ringing finally getting to him as he reached over and picked up the receiver of his den den mushi.

He remained silent as he looked and clicked down the receiver and sighed into it. "By the way, your calling for me suggests that you have distributed out the presents I got for everyone." He sighed as he removed his hand of the receiver and slowly sat up against this headboard. His fin slightly squished onto its side of pressing against his skin. he once again clicked the reciever down and spoke into it his voice sullen and mournful yet also a degree of dead seriousness."Now what do you want I already said I don't want anyone to see me in the state I'm in ill join the meeting but via den den." He really didn't want to have to leave his room if he could help it besides going to the bathroom he was a hermit of sorts.

Yuurei had gotten a baby den den mushi and placed it in his white robe. He was going to make it an ear piece, but for now it would go into his pocket. The other thing he had gotten was vision dial, which he figured it was something Daimaru wanted him to use when he was scouting. It was a smart thing to use, and he placed that in his robe. He only knew about these dials because he had seen them when he and Gideon had gone to the marine’s hideout and took them out. Still, he was a bit upset that the Daimaru wasn’t going to show up, and be in this meeting with us. He had sighed as he looked at Mashyuu who started speaking. It seemed like this meeting was for everybody to talk about what they had done ever since they had separated from each other. He heard his story, and he nodded as there were some interesting things that this man had done.

There was even the part of with the shell that had such a strong impact. Yuurei blinked a few times as he knew exactly what that was. He had gone through something like that before, and he could agree it hurt. Then when he heard that he found a fruit it made him chuckled and laugh a bit. That was something he didn’t think he would hear. It was also something Yuurei had found in his journey as well. Soon enough the man was finished with his talk about the fore he found, and how he would be able to forge things for the crew, if they found the materials for them. He smiled because it would be a good way for him to get some good swords, or a way to actually protect his arms from swords, and other weapons. Koneko sat down as she was asked to, and she looked at Yuurei as she wondered who was going to speak next. She did hear someone coming from the snail, and it sounded like the Dai, or fish guy to her.

Yuurei coughed as he was ready to speak now. He had also done a lot since he was gone from everyone. ”So where do I begin. When we left I was scouting, and gathering information for myself. I of course was looking for stronger swords to use, so I could be strong enough to fight, and defend for you guys. I ended up hearing rumors about a sword passed the Ordeals of String, so I went for it. I found Gideon here on my way to the White Sea, and he agreed to help me swim to the Entrances of Ordeals. When we got there we had to go through some strings in the Ordeals of String, and soon enough we had found ourselves attacked by insects. We got out of that, and ended up at a temple. We went inside of it, and went through many trials, and I got swallowed by a snake. I also found a fruit, and Gideon found that big sword in the temple, which was the sword I was looking for. I looted the temple of all of its currency as well,” he paused for a bit as he wasn’t done talking.

He took a few deep breaths as he had taken out the fruit from his robe and placed it on the table as well. His fruit was different than Mashyuu as it was black, and had purple circles around the fruit. ”Then after that I decided to learn more about the other Ordeals, and learned about the Ordeals of Iron. I heard there was a man there called Father, and that he had wield EgeKing, the lost blade of the Wano Country. I went after that sword, hoping that this rumor wouldn’t be false, and soon enough I decided to help one of the folks on this island for safe passage back to the Entrance of Ordeals. There I entered a place called Battle City where nobody is allowed to escape once we enter. I walked around and helped people by tending some basic treatment I learned from Harley treating me. I fought my way through the city as I found the people who are outside of the ship, and Koneko of course. She helped me get to the building where this man name Father was located,” he paused as he sighed, and noticed that he had done a lot.

”I fought this man and he also had a shell that absorbed my attacks, and shot it back at me. It did a lot of damage to me, and I thought I was a goner, but Koneko helped me, and I killed Father, but he was replace by a woman who named herself Mother. She wanted me to stay in battle city, but I refuse, so order animals to attack me to stop from leaving with everybody. I was also badly injured to the point that Harley would kill me if she saw me in that condition,” he chuckled a bit as he rubbed the back of his head. ”I was taken to a doctor name Jade because I was unconscious, and she treated my wounds to the best of her ability. Still, my wounds were too much, so I asked her if there was any alternative, which she directed me to a house. I went to that house, and I met a man name Dracon. This old man noticed my ability with Haki, and decided to train me in mastering it,” he said as he stretched his arm out in the air, and his whole arm had gone black and then turning back to normal.

”I activated this before when the shell with the impact had been used against me, but Dracon helped to understand it. He called it Armament, and the other thing, which I had no idea about was called Observation. I’m also fully healed with a few wounds here and there, so if you want you can look at that later Harley. Thank you,” he said as he thought he was done, but then remembered a few things. He took out a wanted poster of him with a 9,0000,0000,0000 Exol on it saying that he was wanted alive. He also placed the three strong katanas that he had obtained, but never got to show it off to Mashyuu. ”I found these two swords in Jaya. Benihime I stole, and I found Kusagani. I took Egeking from Father, and I think Mother put a huge bounty on my head, which is why I’m dressed the way I’m dressed. As you can see you can see both my eyes,” he opened wide to show that he had them both.

Yuurei kept out the Will of D. part because he didn’t want to be looked at different. ”You can go now Koneko,” he said as he was done talking. He did leave the marine part out as he figured that Gideon could talk about that. ”Hi everyone I’m Koneko, nya. I’m a Mink, and I was born in Zou, but I was taken as a slave as a young girl. I was kind of mistreated as a slave, and tried my best to do everything I can for my slave owner. There was one thing I was good at and it was fixing ships. Whenever they needed something to be fixed on a ship I was taken to fix it. I enjoyed doing this actually, nya, and decided to learn more about ships. I love ships, and making sure they aren’t destroy is something I was built for, nya,” she said with excitement. ”I was taken to this island as a slave, and when I got a chance I escaped, but I was captured again, nya,” her tail went down as well as her ears.

”I don’t regret this though because Yuurei-sama came to my rescues, and freed me from being a slave, nya. He told me that I can be free, an do whatever I wanted, so I chose to follow him because I know he wouldn’t force me to do something that makes me feel like a slave, nya,” she was excited when she mention Yuurei as her tail was wagging in her seat. ”I finished as I don’t really want to talk about my past anymore. I just know that my old slave owner had wings, and he is on this island, nya,” she said this, and it was actually the first time Yuurei had heard this before, which surprised him. He wondered who it was, and wondered, if she would tell him the name of this man.

Gideon nodded as Mashyuu offered a better position for him, so he got up, walked down the gangplank and took a few steps to reached the rear. As the captain threw open the windows, Gideon stood at the edge of the dock and leaned in to view everyone through the windows, "Thank you" he said as he received the baby den den mushi, which he then placed on his shoulder, albeit with some difficulty due to it's size. He began considering anyway to shrink himself, though the thought of experimentation touched a nerve of his, the thought of Loki ran through his mind.

The meeting room was occupied by the crew, except for Gideon and Daimaru, though the giant didn't mind and he empathized with Daimaru as the sharkman gave his statement through denden mushi. Gideon figured he would cook up something well for the crew after the meeting. The meeting started and everyone began sharing their reports of situations they had dealt with. Gideon was surprised by the fact the slavery situation was a better problem then he had thought; he didn't even know that there was a slave trade in Skypiea since he arrived.

Everyone had there own story and it dwarfed Gideon's own worries. After Yuurei had given his part of the story, Gideon figured he would take his turn to share, "My name is Gideon Wodan, born in Elbaf, though raised on an unnamed island elsewhere; I accidentally came to Skypiea during fishing" he was slightly embarrassed, still remembering waking up the scenery of all clouds, "I had met Yuurei and we made the trek to the temple as he said; the large sword you might have seen leaning against your main mast is the blade we found, it was agreed to go to Yuurei, though because of it's size, he was kind enough to give it to me" He wanted to show the blade, but sadly couldn't.

"Yuurei and I had raided a hidden Marine base in the Upper Yard and their warship nearby; tough battle but we managed" Gideon rubbed the back of his head, the idea of explaining battles was a bit too much for him; fighting has never been a comfort for the giant, "If anyone is hungry, I can whip up Sea King sushi, or fry up some boar that I still have on ice" he nervously offered, "Oh and I don't eat devil fruits, I like to swim"

Mashyuu sat in silence, listening to everyone's stories and taking it all in. Within a matter of a few days, the Phantom Raiders had gone through a lot each in their own ways but while most of them had seemed to come out fairly unharmed, Dai had clearly gone through something else. Mashyuu's head nodded down at the table he sat at and a weak smile spread over his face, as if he were fighting with what needed to be done next. He was their Captain now and they would look to him for advice and guidance in their times of need. "Okay... it seems like each of you have been through a lot. Harley do you have anything to add?" Harley who had known most of this already simply shook her head and leaned back in her seat. "Yeah. I'm not much of a fighter so I don't know why you left me here to guard the ship. If you would have taken me with you, I could have helped you tend to those wounds and gotten you back here faster. But I'm glad everyone made it back in one piece, even you Yuurei." Harley stuck her tongue out at the man for a moment then leaned forward.

"Well then, I say we take a day to rest, relax and get our wits about us, then we can head to Quaid's home, my old home and take it from him. Question him and figure out our next move from there." Mashyuu stood from the table and titled his head towards Gideon. "I assume you don't need to get into our kitchen to do your cooking? considering I'm not sure you could fit down the steps. If you need supplies, like kindling for a fire or something ask one of the deck hands since they seem to be sticking around for free. They can earn their keep. Either way it's good to have two more skilled members of this crew. Gideon, Koneko, welcome to the Phantom Raiders. Don't make Yuurei's trust in you look bad and we will get along fine." Mashyuu clicked his den den off and nodded at Harley. "I told you to stay at the ship because I trust you to use your head in a bad situation and stay calm. If anyone could have defended this thing, it would be you." Slowly Mashyuu started to make his way towards the door. "Meeting's over. I'm going to check on Dai, I'd like the rest of you to tend to any wounds you might still have, see what needs done around here as far as getting supplies and minor repairs goes. Yuurei, have those guys that you helped gather food and other supplies so we can leave when our goal here is done." Mashyuu cracked his neck and left the others to their devices.

Harley sighed and scratched her neck softly. "Luckily I just set up the medical room. If any of you have injuries that need tending to I'll be there. Koneko, Gideon, I'm sure you will get along here just fine. Don't really know how we are gonna get a Giant down safely but we will cross that bridge when we come to it." Harley stood from her seat and headed down below deck a few moments after Mashyuu.

Mashyuu stood outside of Dai's door and knocked twice on it. "Dai, it's me. Either open the door or let me in, we need to talk." Mashyuu spoke in a firm yet caring tone. He was worried that whatever had happened to the Fishman had left a deep wound that perhaps the man had never dealt with before. With all of the silly and bad things that had happened to Mashyuu, it was possible that he could at least offer some words of wisdom to the man, or at least be there for Dai to ease his pain.

Dai continued to sit up in his bed as he listened to everyone speak about what they had been doing. However, he was surprised Yuurei and Gideon did not speak about what happened to Dai. Perhaps they were respecting his privacy a rare thing to do amongst the pirate world. He would remember their kind actions while he pondered over what they had been through. It seems skypeia was now a festering breeding ground of slavery now and there was a presence of the navy. COuld the world government have a hand in this nefarious and heinous act? He wouldn't doubt it to be honest since they let sabody archipelago slavery continue on.

His mind crossed over to the fateful and cursed island. he would need to head there as well at least his crewmates would. If they were to make there way to the second half of-of the grand line that is. He in particular never wanted to see that place again. He spoke into his reciever "oh yes we have been through many hardships many indeed some greater than others but this is not a competition." He looked down as the receiver went dead as the one that had been in contact with Mashyuu had turned off on his end.

he shook his head and put his receiver down shutting off the baby den den on his end. as he muttered, "boring conversation anyway." He sighed as he slowly got to his feet and grabbed his empty tankard of ale and scratched the top of his head. He needed a refill since he had lost his temper and thrown the half-full cup of ale at the wall. He was glad he had cleaned it up after all he didn't want his room stinking like booze and leaving a stain. He kept his room clean and tidy a little habit his biological family had instilled in him.

Then came the fateful knock on his door. He growled and placed yubashiri against his left hip and shouted. "I told you damn girl scouts I wasn't interested in your Fuckin cookies now fuck off." He placed his hands over his mouth he knew that it was the captain's voice but he needed a little bit of enjoyment to settle himself and bring him back to his normal composure. He sighed as he slowly got up and walked towards the door and unlocked it and made his return to the barrel of ale and started pouring himself a tankard. "It's open mashy, sorry about that misunderstanding and please forgive my absence at the meeting I'm dealing with shit." He shuddered as he had his back facing the door as he hung slightly haunched over he didn't want his friend seeing his face.

Yuurei could see the playfulness that came from Harley as she stuck her tongue out. He could only smile when he saw this because he did go through a lot of trouble since he had been there. The pirate had put the fruit away in his person, and also placed the blades back into his sash. Koneko on the other hand noticed this coming from the two, which brought her to pout a bit as she looked at Yuurei for a second. She wasn’t excited with how he smiled with Harley, but she did enjoy that he was a happy person. On the other hand, Mashyuu had brought up Quaid’s name, which made Koneko’s hair, and tail straighten up. She had heard it before, but had blocked it out, but hearing this name again she knew that the slaver trader was the same man. She had escaped from his grasp before, and now she was with the crew who was trying to foil his plan.

It only meant that she was going to have to come face to face with her past, which was something she wasn’t expecting. She thought she was free from it, but that wasn’t the case. Still, she knew that with Yuurei on her side she would only have to deal with this one last time, and come to terms with it at the end. Her thoughts were interrupted when Mashyuu welcomed her again to the crew. It ended her tail from being straighten up as she wagged it back and forth as she was happy to be a part of crew. ”I will make sure to do my very best, nya,” she said with joy as she hid the fact that she was thinking about Quaid. Yuurei looked at Gideon now as it seemed like the man was going to be cooking. ”There should be one of the guys roaming about. Find him and have him help you out with whatever you need. The other four are on the crow’s nest making sure that nobody comes towards our ship without our knowledge,” he told Gideon with a smile on his face.

Yuurei’s attention turned to Harley though as she had told them about the fact that her room was set up to take patients in. The thief had gotten from his seat as he looked around to the giant out the window and the mink who was looking at him with a pouty face. ”I’m going to go get my wounds check. I’m going to see if they were treated correctly, and then from there I will probably go do something. Koneko if you want you can also go help Gideon, but that is solely up to you. And also smile you look exciting when you are happy,” he said to her. She sighed when she heard this, and smiled at him because she knew she was overreacting with him. ”I will Gideon if he needs it, and if now I shall check up on the ship, and see if everything is okay, nya,” she had checked earlier, but she figured she might as well do it again.

Yuurei on the other hand nodded as he looked at the two of them one last time and started heading towards the entrance that led him below the deck. When he got down there he looked at the hallways as they were designed nicely. He wondered who had made this ship, and found it to be a nice place. He had used his observation to pinpoint Harley’s room, which he had been in before, but forgot where it was. It didn’t take long for him to find her as she had headed down before he did. When he got to her door, he didn’t knock because he knew that she was expecting people to be here. He entered the room, and looked at her with a smile on his face and moved over to the area where he needed to sit. When he sat down he sighed as he looked at her once again. ”So you just been hanging out on the ship. I should have come to you when I was injured, but people took me in and I got patched up that way,” he said to her as he felt like he betrayed his doctor.

”I drank some water that erased some of my previous scars, and healed all my wounds I have gotten before yesterday, but the ones on my back remain, but I figured that was because those are all slash wounds,” he took off the robe, or at least removed it, so that his upper body would be revealed to Harley to check on. ”These wounds were cleaned, but if they need to be treated more just do what you got to do,” he said towards the slash wounds that he had endured when he was fighting the marines. He had a few bruises here, and there, but he figured they weren’t a big deal. ”I been meaning to ask you why don’t you condone killing? I mean I understand that killing everybody is just not the way to go, but there are times where it is necessary, at least in my case,” he asked as he was curious to hear what she had to say.
